Thank you so much for your detailed instructions! I have just today acquired a Supernova Ultra machine of my own here in NZ and have been working on it to get it fully functional again. It is not as intuitive as other machines so learning from dedicated technicians like you is immensely rewarding! Please know you are greatly appreciated. 👍
I had the chance to see all the videos dedicated to the Necchi Supernova sewing machine that you made. With the passing of time I realized that I was wrong: yours is not a simple interest or an important passion. No, yours is a sincere love for this product of Italian intelligence. That is why, as an Italian, I feel a great sense of gratitude towards you for this noble feeling of yours. Congratulations!!!
(Google traduce)
@@necchi-pavia What you wrote moved me. I know the feeling of protection that you say you feel when you have a Necchi sewing machine in front of your eyes. I believe that this feeling comes from the gratitude towards the men and women who have designed, produced and purchased this wonderful sewing machine. You, like me, can be considered a guardian of the passion and love that still exists here in Italy for this masterpiece of mechanics, technique and design. Hello J.A., my wife owns a old Necchi Supernova Ultra, where the cam drive mechanism didn´t work for a long time. Some german mechanics specially for sewing machines couldn´t repair it, because nobody knew this old machine. After finding your videos on youtube, i decided to try it by myself. After a few hours i found the problem, repaired it without needing any spare parts and the Necchi is working like on her first day. My wife is excited. Thank you for your excellent videos, where all details are to be seen.
@ Uli Wüstefeld Hi, I'm glad to hear this good news. I'm located in Germany. Wenn Sie es wünschen können Sie mir gerne auf Deutsch antworten. Mission complete. - Supernova is now running again, people are satisfied....
Love your videos. You take your time explaining and showing how things work. I have a Supernova that sat in my closet for 20 years before I started to use. And I love the machine but it needs to be really cleaned out.
Hello J.A., Your videos are always so informative and helpful! I recently removed the cam drive mechanism to replace the nylon gear that was broken on a Super Nova. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find the correct replacement gear yet. I decided to put the cam drive back together again so the machine could be used. It took me hours and hours to figure out how to get it back together. I was afraid I might not be able to. Your video is going to come in very handy when and if I do locate the correct gear in helping pull and put back on the cam drive. Thanks so much for putting this together!
I got one of these recently, and got it home only to discover it had NO CAM DRIVE! Instead of that knob on the front left of the machine, there is a plastic plug that exactly matches the machine. Found another one just like it on ebay. Seems there were some made without. I expect it would be too much of an undertaking to add one after the fact.
Hello yes, it's true, the machines were built in large numbers with different equipment. An upgrade to the automatic system does not make sense here, because all the individual parts required are no longer available. Better to look for exactly the model you want.
@ Michelle Thions Keller I have already taken the mechanism apart and put it back together again. But it is impossible to show it in a short video. In addition, it has to be set again at the end when it comes back into the machine.
Thank you so much for your videos. I was lucky to find a "new" brain on ebay. Just got it installed, need to do that last adjustment with the reverse screw. My old was was so clogged up that it just will not turn. Is there anyone who know how to take them apart & really clean the insides? And put it back together? It has a "fine adjustment" lever that the new one doesn't have. I would like to get this machine as close to original as possible. Again, Thank you!!!
@ Bradley Gavin The assembly for the decorative stitches, which was built into the machine in this video, has been disassembled into all individual parts by me. I now know how to do it right. I am also familiar with setting the units. So far I haven't published a video that shows this process. It is very complicated and it is currently not possible for me to create useful video material. Thank you for the positive feedback. I try to deal with the topic again.
@@necchi-pavia can I ship my old one to you? I will happily pay you for your time! And return shipping, of course! (I would love a video of it). I completely understand why you don't post this type of video. And my compliments on your very good English. It is so much better than my German!
I got a functioning Necchi Supernova Julia but the needle bar keep swinging when set to straight stitches. Could it be caused by hardened oil that keep the zig zag mechanism engaged ? It had been sitting 30+ years.
Hello, thank you for the request, I'll try to explain... There may initially be no cam in the mechanism. Switching off means that the mechanism no longer rotates, but if a cam is still inserted, the machine may not make a straight stitch. The lever that needs to be operated to enable the cam to be inserted must be in the rest position again. The mechanics should be completely smooth. All levers must be able to be moved without any effort. I already had this error, but I can't spontaneously say what the cause was. At the moment I only rarely worked with the old Necchi machines. A machine that has not been in operation for so long should be brought back to life very carefully; you quickly lose patience and demand full functionality immediately. I hope this helps....
Hello there, would you please let me know how to insert the cam mechanism after cleaning it to engage the design graduating nob properly. I had it in and out dozen times, everything works except I can not move the nob to triangular mark for the straight sewing. What am I doing wrong? Thank you so much.
Hello, please note the position of the machine's mechanics and do everything exactly as I instructed. It should work, if not I am also at a loss ... Much luck
Hello we buy a necchi supernova automatica work good ,we need buttonhole but the two line to close together we can’t cut the hole how can separate or adjust it so can cut the hole thank Antonio
Thanks for the comment, it can have different causes. Is it a regular supernova or a Julia? The basic setting of the machine may not be correct. Or errors were made during operation. Do you have an instruction manual? From a distance it is very difficult to find a practical solution.
Before you lower your thumbs, please read the description of the video, thank you ....
