Today, we'll guide you through an exciting laser engraving showdown: Thunder Bolt Plus VS Thunder Bolt. The Bolt Plus, an upgraded version of the Bolt series, brings two key enhancements to supercharge your laser processing performance.
The first one is Dual Air Assist. The new dual air assist design is more user-friendly and improves cutting and engraving quality and performance. So, let's start the showdown.
The second enhancement is blazing-fast processing speed and precision. The maximum operating speed of the Thunder Bolt Plus can reach 1500mm/s, while the Thunderbolt can only reach 1000mm/s. Therefore, we set the engraving speed of the Bolt Plus to 1500mm/s with 45 percent power and 300 dpi. For the Bolt, we set the speed to 1000mm/s, while keeping the other settings the same.

Precision. I would LOVE to see a 1/4" wood cutting comparison to see if the Plus can cut noticeably faster. This is main thing holding me back from purchasing the standard Bolt. Thanks!

Does the crumb tray completely slide and lift out of the Bolt and Bolt Plus, or just slide as far as it can and then cantilever outwards? It would be nice to gain another couple inches of total Z Depth when engraving tall jewelry boxes by resting the box below where the crumb tray would normally be.
