This is a gorgeous little film. It’s like being a child and sitting at the table in the kitchen on a Sunday morning, watching a parent potter around. Please keep creating. You have a gift!
Fantastic video!!! But, as Italian, I must say 2 things: 1st don't press the coffee powder in the filter and 2nd fill the filter up to form a mound with the coffee powder
@@amplad When i fill the filter with coffee all the way up the moka clogs it and it takes too much time to produce very little bitter and ash tasting coffee.... the only way mine works is if I leave the filter half empty. What would you suggest in this scenario ?
I'm a moka pot man and I was thinking the same thing. If it gets pressed, the pressure is so high water comes from the joint at the threads. This is by far my favorite method for coffee. 4 oz shot, 3oz heavy whipping cream and about an ounce of flavored creamer. That or 4 ounces of heavy cream if you enjoy the natural note flavor of the coffee. I love them both.
Also, contrary to the Bialetti instruction manual, boil the water *first,* then transfer it to the lower chamber of the moka pot (use an oven mitt or kitchen cloth so you don't burn yourself while screwing it on). This has two effects: The lower chamber will be already expanded so it forms a better seal with the top chamber, and the coffee grounds spend less time on the stove dry-if you start with cold water, the dry grounds start to cook before the water, making the coffee more bitter. When it's finished, hold the lower chamber under cold running water to stop the brew so you don't over-extract.
what i find really relaxing about your videos is that not only are they very aesthetically pleasing, very well done, and well recorded (clearly you put a lot of effort and time into your work), but to me, you always give off a very warm, maternal vibe. and i find that very relaxing and easing. :)
a tip from an Italian Espresso lover, put the water up to half the bellone and the coffee you have to put much more like to create a small mountain and you don't have to compact it, it's a moca not a machine, leaving out this, nice video the noise of the moca is beautiful😍
I’ve been re-watching this in the mornings since I’ve been working from home. It’s a nice easy way to introduce sounds into my day before logging in. Thanks Diane and congrats on 1k subs! you got this!
Thank you Danielle ! ^^ Yes I did't expect to reach that amount of subs so quickly, and it's all thank to the support of early subscribers like you :) Have a nice day !! I hope you can still enjoy outdoor places these days !
thankfully I live next to a river and have been going on daily walks with the dog. Hope you continue to be safe and know your work is appreciated always and especially during this time. Have a great day!
Good video! I suggest you not to press the coffee in the filter, just make a heap of coffee in order to preserve the fragrances. Italians do it this way🤗
@@elisascavolini1447 -- I am in the southern US, the state of Louisiana, and we put in WAY more coffee as well. Still, I remind myself that she is making a cinematic ASMR vid, so maybe the amount of coffee was proper for the shot she wanted.
I just realized there’s a bit of rhopography in good asmr videos. The settling of everyday items, the understanding that they will be used for their purpose with utmost care.
Oh my gosh! I wish you could have shown the best part of the Moka pot, the coffee brewing and slowly filling the top chamber. Otherwise, I love your ASMR videos! Stunning!
The only downside to this is that now I want coffee when at this point it would keep me up half the night.😂 Loved it, though; I've always loved the sounds of coffee and tea making!
We visit your 'cafe' often and have just added a cafe scene of our own in the hope that it helps people as this quiet simple video has helped us. Thank you and all the best to you.
I love your ASMR videos! I have some suggestions, too! - Roleplay ASMR as a nanny - Sewing/Embroidery Turtorial ASMR(Like the "Cozy Embroidery Session" video and the "Rolled Wax Candles Tutorial" mixed. For the tutorial video just make it the tutorialness...lol) - Roleplay ASMR as a mailwoman sorting letters and gifts(like paper sounds, crinkly whateverness, maybe glass sounds?👀👀) - More apothecary(YES.) - Preparing food^^ - Testing lots of vintage stuff - H e r b s, D r i e d h e r b s - Hollow sounds(owo) - Roleplay ASMR as a teacher in an old school for girls(I'm talking...1700's? Grammar, Comportment, Arithmetic lessons, etc.) - Another shop roleplay, perhaps, perhaps?
Beautifully shot! Worth watching James Hoffman about making coffee from a moka pot; short version: boil the water first before putting into pot; stop the extraction process once you hear the bubbling - gives you a less bitter coffee (you do this by running the moka put under cold water.
This is sooooooo neat! Thank you for this. I used a coffee maker just like that one in graduate school; brought back old memories. Now I think I'll search for it and use it again. M. or Mlle. Moonlight Cottage, you are a treasure.
Your no talking videos are helping me so much with concentration at the moment, especially since I have to work from home AND continue my University projects. You are wonderful!
This seems almost like a tranquil clip from a movie. I adore asmr like this. Btw truly perfect score on quality. Asmr staged and having people talk about what their doing is weird to me. Calming activity sounds are the best sounds.
It's so relaxing! Great video. Thank you! Please consider make a roleplay video of yourself preparing one for you and one for us and talk with your sweet French accent amenities or coffee curiosities, like friends afternoon 😉 Sorry if you don't take requests.
Wonderful. The only bad thing about this video is that it's only seven minutes long. It's a shame that making coffee doesn't take half an hour. Thank you for yet another excellent video.
Ive been looking for someone that will do videos like this, I am so so glad I found you!!! It helps a lot with my anxiety episodes before bed time! Thank you!!!!
Popping in from your letter writing video. Wonderful soundscape. Super chill. I can see the work and effort you put into every creative decision. Color me subscribed!
If you ever wanted to revisit this kind of video, I'm sure James Hoffmann wouldnt mind doing a collab. He's a bit intense when it comes to coffee but in all the right ways as well.
I grew up with an Italian babysitter since my mom worked a lot during the day, so this reminded me of the morning's before I had to go to school where I would come downstairs and smell the coffee.
Ok, the pressing and amount of coffee in the filter are done for ASMR/cinematic esthetic purposes and I'm totally fine with that. Can we take a moment to appreciate the chocolate on the side, please? Only the best cafés do that, it was a seriously classy move and I'm all for it!
You're asmr are so beautiful!!😻 But to drink the real italian coffee you Need to put coffee powder until the filter was full, and the pressed It. Italian coffee was so strong, dark and with a full-bodied taste, and only with this method you'll be able to fully enjoy its flavor.💪🏻😘
Isn't this just the best coffee you can make! I own some mokapots myself and have ditched my nespresso since owning them. I love the ritual of making a cuppa.. Have you tried Lavazza yet? :)

The production and quality really is the best ASMR channel currently. What a star...
That was my first impression after watching a few segments.

If you form a mound the pot top will press the coffee down when attached. What's the difference between that and pressing the coffee down yourself?
