I was asked to record my gameplay as a sort of proof that the game runs smooth for me. So I did some running and flying around Koboh and fighting (badly) some random mobs to show this. Normally I play the game at locked 75 fps, but for the purpose of capturing what I see as close as possible, I locked it to 60 fps here. And yes, there are some traversal stutters (and recording the footage did in fact make them slightly worse and more frequent), but they are very minor and if you tell me even *this* is unacceptable for you, I will seriously have to question your standards, because at that point I don't think you even care about playing the game and instead just care about every single moment of the game being frame-perfect, which I think is just unreasonable ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i understand know, the game still has some stutters but you already played the game, the shaders are already precompiled and normally you shouldn't have any stutters at all but does small ones aren't that bad. For people who are just starting the game and playing it with ray tracing turned on for the first time, ( like myself some weeks ago) the stutters are far worse and unacceptable for a full priced game.
I like the game, its a beautiful game but the stutters are just too annoying.
I played dead space remake and it had the same stutters on PC, after months i reinstalled the game again to replay it but the stutters made it just bad. On my series x does problems don't even exist. A good shader precompile system in the start menu like in a lot of games avoids does problems, uncharted takes me 20 minutes to precompiles does shaders but after that it just runs. The Calisto protocol had the same problems on release but a update solved that problem by precompiling in the start menu. It's a problem with a easy solution and publisher or developers are not going for that solution, that's why understand why Digital foundry is so harsh on does games.

@@coffee7180 This is how the game was for me from the start (some two weeks back, still on patch 8). It did run shader precompile on first start (or rather, on every start, which now doesn't happen with patch 9).
But yes, on patch 8, RT did cause noticeable intermittent stutter, on top of the performance drop RT causes in this game, and there seemed to be some kind of leak involved in it as the stutters got progressively worse the longer one was playing. Given the pointlessness of RT in this game, disabling it was a no-brainer.
With patch 9, this stutter seems to be mostly gone, even though RT still causes a big performance hit and is still pointless in this game.
I've yet to try the Dead Space remake for myself, so I can't comment on that.
