I lived in Vegas in 1970 to 1975 as a young boy, many days of 115 , 116 so yeah no Wow from me .
Grew up in CA. Been to Death Valley and Vegas many times. Wait until August and hear them scream. I guess they didn't research what moving to the desert meant. At least snakes and lizards have the sense to hide under a cool rock in the daytime.

No fake news... 1st the images shown were from Cayman Islands, they put the sign on the upper left corner. 2nd there was tons on rain and wind in Tulum and north of it. Not cat 4 but lots of rain and wind.
