I've used not safe for enclosed LEDs in enclosed fixtures and all they do is die earlier, usually if the fixture is safe for a 60w incandescent it's not a fire hazard but manufacturers say it's not for use in them because they can't say the bulb lasts X years as it will only last maybe 1-2
Okay, WiFi is not easier, is way harder you need to configure EACH bulb and the wiz app is horrible, the procedure fails a lot. With HUE you scan the code on the hub in HomeKit and THAT'S IT. Hue light are added in one click, they form a mesh network much more reliable than most home wifi, fails almost never, and color and light quality is much better. Enrolling wiz light is a nightmare and if you wifi is not in tip top shape expect trouble.
You mean like the Hue dimmer? Not that I know of...unless Wiz came up with one. Of course you don’t want to connect a smart switch dimmer to something like this.
@@AndrewCamm Agreed, but I wish there was an easier way to turn the lights on/off and dim with a wall switch without killing line voltage to the lamps. The wiz remote will work for now, so long as we don't lose it hah. I guess I could always tape my phone to the wall! haha
Quick question? I set it up with no problem. But my wife wants control also when I’m not home. Can she download the app and also control it from her phone? Or only one phone can control it?
Any idea why I keep having the issue where all my bulbs are giving me the wifi notification that the light is unavailable? Says to check that the power is on and that the wifi is working. Intermittently they will pop back on line... intermittently, and not all bulbs at once (for instance - 3 bulbs above kitchen island and only 2 will be online)...
I have had this experience with one of my bulbs. Don't know if its a product flaw or just a bad bulb...Wiz has been less than helpful. Other than ensuring your bulb(s) are within wifi range, I can't offer a solution...
I'm having this same exact issue. Bulbs going offline intermittently. I have good internet and an expensive router and even the bulbs in the office with the router go offline daily. It's frustrating
I‘ve bought a bulb for 27 € week ago and until now I’ve should reconnect it over 5 times. Just terrible.. Only on 2.4 Ghz, no metals and so on… Is there any option to upgrade the firmware or something like that?
Do you have any idea how to update the bulbs' firmware? I got the bulbs for like 6 months with no issues, but now they show an error updating their firmware and they don't connect to my Wiz app. No help from Wiz Support other than check if my bulbs close to my WiFi, which they are. They even recommended to connect my bulbs to an external hotspot and then reconnect to my wifi, but no change. Any ideas how to solve this issue?
I think you mean color accuracy? I don't have instrumentation to check that...also this was one of my earliest video! I'm hoping I've improved my review since then, thanks for watching!
I’d rather use Philips hue rather than WiZ Could not get the bulbs to work properly with WiZ so I went to Philips. Hue for my home lighting I rather have a hub than using Wi-Fi
I JUST bought 2 for $15 from Home Depot. They work great!
that is a great deal!!

Totally, but I think there's some liability concerns there too...its a CYA. But I agree, they work
What about the sync with music? it's compatible?
Nope
This was a really cool video. I'm really new to having a smart home, but I found your video super helpful and easy to follow. Thank you!
Thanks, glad it was helpful!!
How do you change the colors?

Is sync with PC available with wiz?
I don't know about this...but why would you need to do anything with you PC here?
@@AndrewCamm Philips Hue can connect with the pc and the lights sync with the content on the screen (movie, games stuff like that)
Gotcha...I see no option for this with the Wiz.
f it needs 12 smart Wizz bulbs does that mean i will have 12 devices loading the wifi ?
I need help. Its only showing white and no other colors are showing, can anyone help with this?
Is there a smart dimmer that would work with these?

Overall is this still the best bulb currently 2023 or is there better cheaper
not this one, in 2023 Wiz is updating bulbs with Matter...stay stuned!!
wait..... all of my smart bulbs are inside enclosed ceiling fans
So you have to turn on the fan when you need the light in winter?
Quick question? I set it up with no problem. But my wife wants control also when I’m not home. Can she download the app and also control it from her phone? Or only one phone can control it?
from what I know, you can control from multiple. I have it setup from my phone and iPad
I got it for Christmas and Bluetooth didn’t pick it up at all.

That sucks. Only 2 of my 16 stay on.
@@upstagepartybus3238 make sure your wifi signal is strong enough. Try getting a wifi booster.

I can’t find the app in the store
does not work with homekit. that means you need homebridge. :D
but I don't quite want to use it.....
Right! So not ideal for all users
Thank you 🙏🏻
Any time!
how about pc
Video not in sync with audio.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll take a look at the recording...
Checking everything about a light, except the light quality

Up the energy bro...
noted...appreciate the feedback!
@@AndrewCamm energy is fine. Some people dont like watching coked up RUclipsrs
It only connects with one network for its lifetime
Not true, I have changed the network on mine when I upgraded my home wifi. Easy peasy!
