When it comes to women Gene, I can relate.............Lord, can I ever relate. I've been "a lady's man" my whole life, having been with dozens of them. Had 3 kids by my wife who divorced me for NO good reason & tore my family apart years ago. Not only would she not allow me visitation of my kids ( I was never abusive to her or my kids in any way, and NO judge would help me ), but she brainwashed my kids against me.........and having my own family with "a soul mate" and have our kids grow up in a loving home where we all stuck together through thick & thin, was all I ever really wanted in life..........all ripped away from me. My most recent love was back in 2010.......we were together & she lived with me for just over a year.......then she flew off the deep end, again, for NO good reason & left. Just over 4 months later, she died of a drug overdose. Now at age 62, I'm just like you Gene, I'm all done with women. They've all taken this ole country boy for everything, for the last damned time. Never again.
I live in the east central Louisiana woods in a 30 ft travel trailer. Can`t see anything but trees and blackberries from my front door. I got huge mustard greens, turnips, beets, radishes, cilantro, and collards etc growing in my garden and some fruit trees and a creek to fish in. I have a bunch of bird friends I feed, a wild raccoon that comes when called, and a wild bunny I made friends with that I plant green bush beans for. I prefer pole beans. Bunny visits me every morning when I`m messing around in my garden. She has a nest nearby so I let her have some food from my garden. I always plant extra just in case anyway and can`t eat half of it. A bear stole my Dawn dishwashing liquid by the outdoor faucet so I got wireless alarms and two trail cams and started taking wildlife pictures. A mama deer hangs around my yard and has a trail through here. My alarms went off back in June and she was after my Purple Hull Peas. I`m not too far from Georgetown, La. They saw a Bigfoot between there an where I`m at. Investigators went looking for signs after a man saw it and found its tracks a mile back in the woods on a creek. My sister saw a Bigfoot and I`ve been growled at by one. We hear their "whoooop" sounds a lot in this region. Never knew what it was. Thought it was hoot owls but a lot of people see them.
Chevy trucks are so dependable. I`ve had two 4 cylinders and one small 6 cylinder I traveled around to four states in when I played and sang in a Country/Southern Rock band...Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi. One had over 500,000 miles on it. Wore the motor out finally. My dad was picked up by a tornado on I-20 in Texas...was 100 feet off the ground going 80 mph and it set him back down in the ditch. Bent the frame but it still drove fine. I was hit by the edge of a small tornado in it on highway 84 in Louisiana and was blown into the ditch. That truck sprung a gas leak on I-20 in Louisiana while headed to a show in Jackson, MS and caught on fire and we rolled off the exit in flames and got it put out at a gas station, fixed the leak, and made the show. LOL!
You've got a cool pad Gene , and I dont blame you for living the single life Im 63 and have been living single for about 26 yrs. My life revolves around Jesus and my children and grandchildren ,Ive been a big Skynyrd fan "the original line up " since I was a teen in the 70s great times .✝️💜🧂🪖🇺🇸
I am a Yankee from NYC tons of LS fans in Ny, NJ , Philly back in the day. My ex went to college in GA & got me hooked. 'm living in fla 43 yrs now. True rock legends like LS crosses north- south, races. countries etc. I'm sure Gene meant no big deal calling them Yankees. Just telling a story.
