Loved the video. I have my moms 401G . She bought it in Germany back in the late fifties. Her and daddy square danced . She sewed her dresses and skirts & blouses. She had a Singer Featherweight also. She would have them both set up.The featherweight for straight stitch and the 401G with a ruffler for the tiers. I now have a total of 5 sewing machines and 1 server all Singers.
These are just outstanding machines. I have one on it's way from the UK convertible and I understand that in the UK they use 220 volts on these machines. Which way is the best way to go when plugging in the Singer 331G here in the U.S. Do I get a transducer 220v to 110v or can I just replace a 110v Singer 404 motor and be done with it.
hi. good day to you.. we have trouble putting back the bobbin holder? 😂 (dont know what its called) beneath the slide plate. 😂 will you help me..plz plz plz 😍😍
@1953childstar It is different than I have seen even with Singer saying to bypass the extra thread finger. The interesting thing is that threading it that way keeps the thread forward so probably resolves the thread jumping out of the discs. I have to admit that I had noticed that -- how slow of me. How brilliant that you spotted that. I am normally more observant.
@@jamesrogers991 Bless you.. I should "get up the nerve" to do a video, because I see so many that are incorrect. I watched one the other day that an "expert" showed, how re-assemble the tension mechanism on a slant needle machine. She stated "I place the screw up at 11:00, because that is convenient".. No reference to the fact the knob has a "stop" on the inside and no indication of the tension on the "check spring"... Then, these "characters" are receiving rave reviews and people are going to mimic these bad lessons.
