We stayed there in a twin room suite. Food was exceptional. You have access to the amenities in all of the adjoining properties. Waterpark was great. Fantastic pools and beach. The shuttle to the beach is no big deal. Highly recommend.
Glad you found it useful! While this resort is great, I don't know if super active kids would get bored... The water park is geared to younger kids so that wouldn't help too much. We didn't go inside the kids club so we don't know if it's fun or not. Have you considered the Dreams Onyx or the Lopesan Costa Bavaro? They're both great hotels and have more things for kids to enjoy.
Hola! The Lopesan is better overall. Right now we have Lopesan ranked at #1 and Falcon's at #5 out of 14. The food is VERY good at both, Lopesan has more restaurant options but flavor wise they're neck and neck :)

That beach.....Does Falcon have a beach chairs or anything once you get there? Do you have to bring your own water or snacks? It looks like it is not part of the actual hotel.
Hola MsPeshie! We haven't stayed at the Hyatt Ziva yet, but from what we've heard, it's an amazing resort with a great waterpark. We like that Falcon's Resort is close to Katmandu, which is a great theme park, and we really enjoyed our stay there, but we can't give you a definite answer because we haven't experienced Hyatt Ziva yet 🙂 Please keep in mind that Hyatt has access to Juanillo beach which is a beautiful beach, while Falcon has access to Bavaro beach but you need to take a train to get there and the ride is about 8 minutes.
The waterpark is for small children, but they don't have a non-waterpark area with slides. The amenities you see in this video are all there is. I hope this helps! 🙂 -Ari
When we stayed there they were running a promotion of 2 free rides at Katmandu. The park is a separate attraction. Unless it’s clearly stated with your booking that you have free tickets to some attractions, don’t count on it. Hope this helps! 🙂
Formerly known as Falcon's Resorts, this is Paradisus Grand Cana. They renamed it but the resort itself did not change.

The beach is part of the Melia complex and you can use the chairs there. There is also a snacks area so no need to bring snacks with you.
