Seagull Models
The very finest engineered trainer, sport and scale models-precision-crafted, assembled and covered at the factory. Seagull Models have flyability built-in and the work built-out!
Seagull Models have specialized in designing and manufacturing Almost-Ready-To-Fly (ARF) R/C model aircraft since 1998 (starting with the dream of Nguyen Huynh Phat, Founder of Seagull Models - it all began with a love of models) . Today, Seagull models have become one of the largest and most experienced R/C model aircraft manufacturers in Vietnam and Asia.
Factory-Built Models
Airframes and flying surfaces are all factory-built, covered and decorated. Just add your engine, your R/C, undertake the final assembly of components and you are ready to take to the skies!
Take a look at the fastidious attention to detail, the laser-cut components, the pinned and glued hinges, the finished and installed servo trays and pushrods and so much more. Every aspect of a Seagull crafted model is meticulously implemented with the last word in customer satisfaction in mind.
The science of lasers
Seagull have built up a large suite of advanced laser-cutting machines guaranteed to supply the most precise of components used for ALL AIRCRAFT from trainers to sport and right through to big scale aircraft. At Seagull Models, laser-cutting is not reserved just for the larger, more expensive models in the range.
The science of CAD and materials
In fact, state-of-the-art CAD software and materials science combined with the most fastidious engineering techniques are right at the core of the Seagull approach. CAD software with lasercutting allows Seagull engineers to produce components that improve the scale appearance and strength in ways that were not possible previously. The implementation of Materials Science can be clearly seen in Seagull's use of custom 3-ply laminated balsa sheeting. This material is nearly as strong as plywood but is mainly balsa and it feels, looks and weighs like balsa! Indeed, so strong and light is it that many experienced modellers assume it is normal balsa sheet. It is, however, many times stronger than the traditional balsa sheet that is used in most other model aircraft.
Oracover-the science of Covering
Most people take for granted the amazing strength, the incredible puncture-resistance and the fantastic temperature-tolerant attributes of the amazing German Wunder-Materiel that is Oracover covering film. It is used to cover all Seagull models except trainers.
Fly as Glow or Electric
The latest Seagull models include an electric conversion kit for FREE allowing you to fit an electric motor of your choice instead of an IC motor! There is a comprehensive set of instructions in the manual on how to do this. Look for the IC/EP logo on the box!
What do you think Nitro or Electric?
Nitro! . . .Do even need to ask?
4 stroke nitro rules for scale type planes, they sound so good!!!
Has to be Nitro Chris , i do love my electric foamies , but she deserves a real engine in her....👊👊👊👍👍🇬🇧
@@Kwak46 yup I think you right. Well she on the back burner till the Spit is done. I driving down Saturday hopefully to pick the engine up, so will be shown the next Friday 🤓
@@DadsRCHangar Awesome , can't wait to see this one...😉👊👍🇬🇧
Awesome plane Dad!! Hope the weather gets better for you soon
I pray we will eventually get flying weather 🌞
Absolutely beautiful plane.
She is indeed, and still need to build her 🤭
Sweet! Gotta love Murphy's Law Chris!
Indeed Eric, was looking at landing gear, same price as the plane 😂
I’m excited to see this build and flights!!! 🙌🏼
Thanks bud, yup I really need to make more effort to get out and fly 👍🏻
Leave that poor cowl alone Chris 🤣🤣😅 Look forward to the spit update
Oh ok, I let the cowl off this time. Hopefully find out today if I can finally pick it up this weekend. 👍🏻. Thanks for popping by bud 👍🏻
i have one of these and fly it on 8s and its a great flying plane you will enjoy it
Hi Andre, Wow 8s, what sort of flight time do you get with that?
@@DadsRCHangar i normally do around 8 mins at most, the 2x 4s batterys sit just behind the nose wheel when retracted access is fairly easy theres enough room for them to sit side by side around 3500-4000mah each should be fine, performance is great, plus rec battery up front in nose the cg is fine although you can also do 6s as seen on you tube, i gave up ic many years ago, but i discriminate lol
Going to be a beautiful plane mate !!! Electric for me A. Gas is a bit complicated for me 😳 But it’s your call👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
She is a great looking plane once built, I am swaying to Electric, but we see what people say. Have a great day EQ and thanks for watching 👊🏻
Hi Chris - Back in the day I had a Seagull Spacewalker with a 47 in it - .. Too much work for me these days - and its Balsa wood !!!! - LOL Good Luck with it - It is a shame that you feel Disappointed, but I know how it can be - I hope the finished model takes your disappointment away... (in that it is greater that the sum of its parts)...
I am sure my disappointment will turn I to a challenge, and I do love a tinker. 👍🏻
oh i used the eflite retracts and they fit well and hold up well, sorry you had the damage but these planes are like rocking horse pooh now, forget spares unless you can find 2nd hand
Hi Andre, I find a lot of Balsa plans have the minimum about if Balsa and the skin is the thinnest. Todays economy I guess. Let’s hope I won’t need spares. Have a great day. 👍🏻
Ohhh yeahhh i have just this one now ready for maiden with SAITO FA125 ;)) ohhh yeahhhhhhhhh
Look forward to seeing that bud, talking of Nitro porn. Look out for next weeks Friday feeling, as I have the Spitfire engine and custom exhaust back 😎
As a Brazilian, I'm intrigued, why are so many model aircraft manufacturers making the Super Tucano? Is he that good?😮
@@marcosbastos8634 It’s a great flyer, the latest is from Hobby King. I still have yet to build this, but I am assured by many people that it’s a on the rails plane. Have a great day. 🫡
Well Chris
I never thought I'd see you with a
BRAZILIAN... I'll leave it at that..
Say more said the vicar
ENJOY
Brian
A Brazilian with split flaps no less!! Oh I say Matron ;)
😂 Well….Thanks for popping by Brian. Have a great Sunday sir 👍🏻
@@graysdaman1258 On a Sunday too 😉
@@graysdaman1258 hahahahahahaha there's no answer to that hahhahahaha
@@DadsRCHangar always a pleasure to stop by and look In the hanger you've got a fantastic collection of kites
Hi Chris, I would not be at all happy with the amount of broken & damaged bits of the plane😡 it may have been returned or used to supply parts for other damaged planes, that could be why you have so many damaged things in one box! I would want replacements or money off for sub standard parts. I’ve got a hanger 9 p51d 20cc mustang kit, very detailed & very well made but the pilot RC laser 67” 20cc 3D plane that’s just arrived is in a different class, absolutely fantastically made with perfect covering, will make it over the winter with my VQ spitfire, p51d mustang etc, ive gotta stop buying planes now, I think it’s a disease we get when we take up RC planes as a hobby! Take care & looking forward to the in depth VQ spitfire build👍
Heya John, silly you tube did not say you commented. Yea I need to contact the store, been so busy this week. At least I can point them to my channel to see hehe. Yup I have run out of room. But I need so many more 😂. Will find out tomorrow if the exhaust went into the Kilm tomorrow
Morning. He was saying about Saturday for filming, so I might hit get it back for this Friday. We see. Thanks for sticking with me John.
Started watching this channel as it sounded like somethng different but about to give up. All these models you have built, discussed etc., but as far as I can see no videos of any of them actually flying. Surely if you are going to review the build you should have a few flight reviews?????
Aww Douglas never give up. Unfortunately I lead a very busy and complex life, then the fact I can only fly at the local club and I cannot fly on my own, then the weather and Covid. But be sure I will get the planes in the air, my journey a twisty road, so hold tight. I mean the fact is, I live planes. ☺️
@@DadsRCHangar Wiil hang in there!
@@douglasfulton5772 An example. I posted on our Club Facebook, saying first great day, looking for someone to be with me on Saturday. But with people busy or not answered. Guess I should look for other places 🤨
Hi Chris I'm a new subscriber, I first saw the video on the VQ Supermarine Spitfire model and I thought I'd take it too, but will the Fa 82B saito engine fit in the plane?
Heya Buddy, yes it will, but upside down, and the head would be sticking out abit. Watch tomorrow’s video, you see what engine she has and the custom exhaust. I am assured it’s plenty. Thank you for subscribing 👍🏻
@@DadsRCHangar ok thank you😆
