hi guys! i'm excited to show you guys this build!! it's the feker ik65, which is comparable to gmk67. both of these keyboard are great but ik65 is more budget friendly as it is a prebuilt and therefore comes with switches and keycaps. additionally, it is VIA compatible with most of the features that the gmk67 comes with, except for the south facing LED and thicker plastic case. for $50 USD, it's a great way to start building your first keyboard and experimenting. and possibly getting sucked into the rabbit hole of keyboard building lol

0:53 Using acetone on plastic will warp and eat it away. Only use non-acetone nail polish remover when removing a logo from a keyboard.
pinned!! i also put it in my description as a disclaimer! thank you for letting us know!!
@@poongie Wanted to make sure no one hurt their keyboard, cheers!
thank you, i def appreciate it 🤍🤍
@poongie @MechKeyboards I nearly used acetone for a logo on my new keeb
@@Jason101---That was a close one!
I looove the softer, marbly, thockier sound of the tape modded/no foam. OMG the binaural sounds are amazing you can actually FEEL it in your ears. It is so good!🤩🤩🤩
ooo you like the thockier side lol and hehe im glad you appreciate my binaural sound tests hehe
I actually reccomend this over the gmk67 bcuz if you sit down and do the math, the gmk67 with keycaps and switches (that said person has bought) actually translates to about 70-80+ dollars depending on the keycaps and switches, so this is very budget for such a marbly, thocky keyboard. epomaker has really upped their game!
Thank you so much for posting this video! I bought this keyboard a few weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived so I've been second-guessing my purchase but this video assured me I got the right keyboard.
i hope you enjoy ur keeb!!
you know for a 50 dollar board, I wasnt expecting something so nice, very solid board! tape mod goated as always
great for experimenting!! i love tape mod, it’s my fav mod ever lol
nice video :0 the vibes so good per usual
good vibes only
in my opinion, it looks so clean!!! 😲
the brown is insane 😭
Tape mod and polyfil really does make an amazing difference in sound profile ❤ Definitely preferred that second build.
Also hiii sis; haven't been frequenting yt lately but I'm glad I was able to catch this one not long after the upload. 😊
Didn't know feker had a 65% keyboard 😂 so used to seeing its 75% and Alice layout barebone cousins!
fr! im def in love with these two mods. polyfil might be a little messy but its so good 🥲
it’s been awhile! hope you’re doing ok 🤎
and lol it came out less than a month ago, so it’s quite new!!
oh my god. FINALLY A BUDGET 67 KEYS BOARD THAT DOESN'T HAVE A SCREEN OR SOME GIMMICK ON THE BLOCKER HAHAHAHAH. Definitely on my choice fr, awesome vidoe as always poogie!!! Haven't watch one of yours in a while
straight up cute brown keyboard w a knob 🤪and thank you for tuning in!!!!
the chance of a fire happening with a tape mod in a keyboard with a battery in it is so low that you might as well call it impossible. the only way a battery can start a fire is if you puncture it.
Definitely a good choice for only 50 dollars!!
agreed!!!
I like it stock...and i think its great for 50$ keyboard
Maaaan, now I'm kinda torn if i should cheap out and go with this instead of the gmk67. With the gmk67, ill have to buy switches plus a nice looking keycaps, i would love the way it look but if i go with the feker, ill just need to buy lube and keycaps but im not too sure about the interference with the north facing everybody is talking about :<
Thanks for the vid though! Really glad i found your channel.
i wouldnt worry about the interference in this keeb but if you have the extra bucks and want an end game keeb, i would go with gmk67 just because i think the build a little better. lowkey tho, once u start building u wont ever stop so i suggest ik65 as a first time build!
Did you, by any chance, take a look at the micro controller model that it's on the PCB?
Remove nail polishes without acetone to remove the logo, I have done it and it's great.
good review, that's north facing with cherry profile? is that no interference?
thank you! and not that i noticed :)
Which do you recommend more for modding assuming it's the same price, the fekker IK65 or the GMK67-s? They both have VIA so I'm not sure.
You could always put a nice sticker over the brand name
thanks for the review 👍
Hi realy nice sound, just wanted to ask you about the lube you use for switches what ratio is it,or better if you can give the link to buy it !
I just use krytox 205g0 for lubing, i recommend watching taeha type's lubing tutorial! as for where I buy it, i buy mine from mech.land! but a lot of different keeb seller will have this lube in stock!
How did you apply the tape mod and polyfill safely? Looking to do polyfill mod but been hearing alot about how its not recommended for keebs with batteries
it’s not recommended because it can cause fire hazards, i’ve never had any problems with using it. i just live life on the edge lol
but for tape mod, you can use electrical tape as the last layer to prevent conductivity through painter’s tape and also prevent the sticky electrical tape residue on the pcb. hope that helps!
What is the pcb foam? Is it the poron one?
awesome sauce
hehe
usually, the North face pcb led would get stuck with the cherry profile keycaps, as my experiences
you just need a switch w longer stem pole which should fix that problem!
wished this keyboard came in black
gmk 67 has black version orrr youc an always spray paint it!
Woah, not too bad for only $50! I honestly think the stock sounds pretty decent too, tho that tape mod + polyfill def sounds better to me. Thanks for the video! (also hi! It's owl.keys ^^)
i figured it was you!!! and this prebuild is not half bad, but def recommend modding most budget keebs!!
is this the same with EWEADN C65 V2?
I still don't understand the gasket of this boare, is considerable when typing or nah?
what do you mean by considereable?
@@poongie If is notable, change the typing experience
nice one
thank u!!!
I love the colour wave
It sounds better without Bottom in the bottom
what is the weight of this keyboard?
what's your main board?
it switches out pretty often, but i enjoy these ones the most: m1, akko top 75 and gmk6&7
I got this keyboard off of temu for free and it's the same one you have
no way!!! how ?!
I opened the app and it said 5 free gifts and pick out that keyboard
You should give it away 👀
@ 2k? LOL
