@@hair.goblinnnI think fans of the book (mainly woman) don't want any more drama around this story. 😭 We also don't want our CW stars feuding . I will say this movie had to have controversy and drama somewhere just based around all the controversy and drama that the book and the author has I just don't think anyone saw it coming from here. I don't know maybe you're right maybe the movie was true enough to the book for people's likings and was a pretty good movie so they found drama elsewhere I don't know but I know a lot of the book fans are like whyyyyyy lol

People always cut off what Harry said half way through, the end of the comment was a go to the theatre movie, which is a perfectly reasonable comment to make when promoting your film in a world os streaming. Also to criticise someone for not being privileged enough to have had a university education when he was getting an education in the music industry from the age of 16 and earning millions before he was 20 seems a bit of a high horse.

I'm actually glad they toned down Jack's abusive character. I think it's scarier that he feels more like a regular guy than a monster. Rather than being a movie about an abusive relationship, it makes it more about how even the "nice guy" can refuse to see you as a person. It becomes a dissection of incel culture this way and I think it's one of the few things about the movie that really worked.

      @@PropheticShadeZ Okay, two questions:
      1) Did you think I said Shia took accountability with his apology? If so, please re-read what I said. If your contention is that I implied you *can* take accountability with a public apology, then again, you have inferred something which I haven't implied.
      2) If that's your true contention, then what is the workable response to your own public wrongdoing? Entering spaces where you can atone for your past sins requires you to enter spaces with people you might have wronged in the past, or who would feel insecure at your unannounced presence. If you can only atone by *doing* then something must first signal your intent to do so, no? A public apology, taking accountability would surely highlight your intent to do more work in the space to rectify the damage you've done, would be the preferable route, I think.
Anything else is a vengeful desire to see people cast into the sun for fucking up. And I can tell you: our current *justice* system proves that that method doesn't work. If you're only treated like a pariah for wrongdoing, you never want to get better, because you're always that outsider.

Shia is a bad dude (justice for FKA Twigs!) but that also made Olivia look so untrustworthy...not to mention the weirdness of sleeping with Harry. Thanks for making the link between Olivia and Harry's situation and Ariana and Ethan's. Though we don't know the full story, it's conceivable that Harry played the same role Ariana did - they both started something with a married coworker who had children. Yet, in both these scenarios, it's the woman who got the short end of the stick. Funny how that works. Nobody called Harry the homewrecker, nobody tried to sabotage him, people were actually blaming Olivia (and rightly so, I mean if anything, she's the one who cheated). Yet, when it's Ariana who's in Harry's position, nobody cares about the guy who left his wife and a child - people are dragging Ariana through the mud and putting the blame entirely on her. The two situations are almost identical, except with reversed genders. Funny how in both, it's the woman who faced most of the backlash.

I think about this movie a lot!! I had no idea about the drama lol. I think it’s so good but I hate that at the end it’s revealed the mastermind was a woman all along?? Like I think it’s a great criticism of the ‘make America great again’ and incels wanting to put women back in the kitchen, etc. by showing how awful and suffocating and trapped it makes the women feel. And then that reveal just completely undermines the message :/
The simulation twist also got me, I was expecting it to lead into a reveal that they were working on the Manhattan project and there was going to be nuclear horror involved but nope!
I also find it really interesting just overall how dysfunctional the simulation is- the men have to leave *their* ideal world every day to work and keep paying for it, so the only ones who get to ‘enjoy’ the simulation are the women, who don’t even want to be there in the first place. Ultimately it serves no one and makes no one happy.

But it’s been a long while since I saw the movie so my memories could be off, but that’s how I interpreted it when I first watched it.

It felt really weird as if Shelley was actually… okay with? the simulation? Or something. I watched about 80% of the trial live (yes, an insane amount of hours). The evidence against her was overwhelming. Narcissism, ASPD, abuse - all of that can be perpetuated by women too. Listen to the voice recordings where she literally says she’ll take him down, and confirms she was the one hitting him. I agree that TikTok is not the place to learn about this, as is true about extreme short form about so many important subjects. 🙏

@@alaia-awakened no one is saying women can’t perpetuate that but the evidence that supports the things she did also overwhelmingly supports the abuse he perpetuated against her. It’s so wild that you will literally block out testimonies and video evidence of him being super abusive against Amber, the bruises, the sexual abuse. Not to mention he sued her over an article that didn’t name him by name. Not surprised to see this weird ass comment from someone who follows “fired from the Daily wire for just asking questions” Klance Owens.

@alaia-awakened God bless you for this comment! For a moment, I thought I had slipped into a different dimension or something like that!
People who claim that Amber was the victim either didn't watch the trial or they just decided to ignore all the evidence against her. To everyone who's claiming that he was just as abusive to her or even more, I wish they would show me some evidence and no, don't come with the pictures taken by TMZ (who were told where and when she would be and where exactly she would have a "bruise") showing a "bruise" that wasn't there the day before and that was mysteriously gone the day after...

Weaponizing process servers to harass/humiliate ex partners is such recognizably abusive behavior. It’s intentional cruelty for its own sake.

This is my first visit to your channel and I am pleasantly suprised....
Not only did you wind through this story with cohesion and respect; you acknowledged the deeper issues with tact. You are the FIRST content creator I've come across who has acknowledged Amber Heard's documented abuse and that in and of itself speaks volumes. I truly enjoyed this video and look forward to exploring more❤

Extended clapping at the premiere of a film really happens, I’ve experienced it as an actor. The 5-10 minutes comes from clapping through the credits, generally speaking, for the director and cast in attendance in particular.

To be fair, the credits of DWD are short, so if they clapped through the credits, it would be through all or most of the credits

*Before* Don't Worry Darling, I liked Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis, Chris Pine, and Florence Pugh, and I felt neutral towards Harry Styles. *After* Don't Worry Darling, I like Chris Pine and Florence Pugh, and forget everyone else because YIKES.

I had to listen to it a few times to make sure I heard that correctly and that you weren't being sarcastic...
Did you really say that she was sued by her _abuser_ as if _SHE_ was the victim?
Didn't you watch the trial and all the lies that she told about him?
Please don't tell me that you're on her side just because she's a woman...

The thing is, I genuinely believe Shia would have been a much better choice. You would so easily believe the switch from wonderful, caring guy to total psychopath. He's a great actor, and can play unhinged so well. Instead we got Harry Styles in a wig and we were supposed to believe now he's an incel? It just didn't work. Not to mention that boy can't act. It was criminal casting.

The most enduring memory to come out of this entire drama, was, for me, the SALAD DRESSING. Ohhh were we curious about the betrayal of the special salad dressing.
My second most enduring memory was Flo SLAYING and FLAYING strutting in that perfectly aesthetic purple outfit with bright orange spritz while waving sassily. Like she was saying “HI MISS O!”

I never really get into drama, and it misses me all the time. But, I can always count on your videos to navigate me through, and there's no one else I'd rather have take me there--and truth be told, I wouldn't even care outside of these presentations. You should feel proud.
