  • Gading Serpong, a planned township about 20 km West of Jakarta is known for good food, good facilities, and being totally depraved of any kind of decent public transport.
    Problems include:
    1. Local Shuttle bus runs every 2-4 hours
    2. Local Shuttle only serves half of GS
    3. No service connecting GS to Intermoda Cisauk
    4. No/very narrow sidewalk in most places
    5. Bicycle gutters (unsafe bike lanes)
    6. Shuttle to Jakarta only runs on weekday rush hours at 30-120 minute frequencies
    7. Transjakarta S11 Bus stop is just bad
    8. Expensive Gojek required just to reach transit
    9. Unused bus shelters inside GS
    10. 9 km away from nearest train station

      It's only mid if you live north of SMS where there's the R19 angkot. Besides that you're basically cut off from transit (maybe royaltrans/damri access) at best.

    Jangan anies ,Ahok, Gibran sama kota jakarta ada yang dipikirkan.
    padahal ktp nya aja bukan warga dki. Pilkada ibu kota yang dipikirkan. Pas ada masalah sampah dan macet gaduhnya ke presiden doang.
    Padahal walikota tinggal beli100 bus tahun depan dan buat jalur BRT

    Gading serpong, alam sutera, and western BSD all suffer the same issue of Americana.

    • @shindoride
      @shindoride  День назад

      Yes though the sins they commit are slightly different. West BSD seperates housing and commercial too much, evident with the lack of shops or ruko in front of many clusters.
      Gading Serpong tried to force 2 buses (1 in weekend) to serve the ENTIRE summarecon serpong part resulting in awful 2-4 hour headways and a super convoluted route
      Alam Sutera got rid of Sutera Loop, brought it back but only at lunch time, making it the worst sinner out of all 3

    Meanwhile in Surakarta a.k.a Solo :
    Good public transit with proper bus route, and feeder? Sure. With frequent trip? That optional.

      Yep, but I think you can track the buses with Mitra Darat

    Classic car-oriented system, for the profit of automobile companies (as***) and real estate developers

    • @shindoride
      @shindoride  Месяц назад +2

      I'm not sure if developers actually profit from building car centric cities, sure they don't have to pay for a bus network but road maintenance isn't cheap either and many roads in the older parts of GS have fallen into disrepair.

      @@shindoride I might be wrong, but here's how I see the logic.
      Indonesians still prefer landed houses over apartments. Landed houses typically have less density, which makes the supply even more scarce. High demand but low supply product (housing in this case) will drive up the price of the product, and that's where real estate developers earn most of the profit.
      On the other hand, if the overall apartment property sales are declining, real estate developers will start to slow down or even halt apartment projects.

    • @shindoride
      @shindoride  Месяц назад +1

      True, but even in these suburbs, population density remains high, most houses are small and are attached to each other so even here, Public transport can still work well as long as the service is good. As I've said in some other videos, if it can work in Brampton, it can work in Gading Serpong.
      But yeah it's still bad land use even though it's not as bad as most US/Canadian cities

    Would You Rather Lived In A place With No Sidewalks and horrible congestion But Has cheap Land Prices And Alot of Transit
    Or still Choose to live in gading serpong

    • @shindoride
      @shindoride  2 месяца назад +4

      Gading has barely any sidewalks anyway, but id still choose to live in GS, its a nice place that I think can be even better with good transit.
      Plus I don't want to leave like what I did with Kelapa Gading and then the whole place gets A tier public transport years later.
      I may reconsider if by lots of transit you mean direct rail access and not just a bunch of rusty angkots.

      @@shindoride yes bc In My Place There's some Mikrotrans line (And alot of rusty angkots and a direct connection to ciracas lrt station
      And you can Go ride transjakarta Corridor 7 from kp rambutan,
      (Well You actually Need To Ride a Angkot/microtrans/LRT to get to kampung rambutan)
