@RockedNet I saw a show once where Don Dokken threatened to stop the show because a fan got mistreated by security and thrown out. Don said that if he didn't see that fan by.the time he finished the next song, he was going to stop the show and leave.
@RockedNet It's like some people don't even care all that much about the music or seeing a band/artist live. They just want attention while being in a public space, and they enjoy that more than anything else. Also happens when you work in retail.
Especially if my entire career, people thought I was only getting ahead because of who I was married to. And then I was accused of staging his murder to look like a suicide, even though his mental health struggles and heroin addiction were well-documented.
@@SilentProtiwell there's podcasts that have police and detectives that were there at that moment admitting to things being not accurate in reports etc ...I can see how theories form ..
I saw them earlier on that tour, and while it was a good show and I had a great time, it's clear looking back on it that something felt off between them. Call me naively optimistic, but I really hope everything turns out ok between everyone.
Forgive the onslaught of questions, but it just makes me super sad since I've been listening to Jane's Addiction since 1993. 1. How far into the show were they? 2. Was the only issue that Dave's guitar was too "loud"? Isn't that the Sound Engineer's job? (I'm NOT implying Perry was in the right, just to be clear.) 3. From the clip I have seen, the band was amazing and Perry was just kind of yelling?
I'll always remember when he kicked a band off the tour right before playing their hometown. It was like this meltdown but against multiple people. One guy was just wearing an Escape the Fate shirt and got kicked out, at least this guy was wearing something offensive lmao
I’ll never understand people making a deity out of him just because he was proven innocent in a court of law once, I have seen people legit compare him to MLK bruh.
I can’t image the migraine inducing nightmare dealing with the Jane’s Addiction mess. I don’t think there’s enough Tylenol in the world to alleviate that headache.
That particular Ronald the Clown/Scene Kid Rock tantrum is precisely why I will *never* respect him as a man. Well-connected young adults look pathetic when they go all "mY fAtHeR wIlL hEaR oF tHiS". This is a middle-aged adult, confronting another middle-aged adult who I can only assume is quite a loser in his own right. All he had to do to "win" was to not even dignify the guy in the crowd with a response.
The Disturbed one is weird. People are on phones all the time at show for a variety of reasons. We wouldn't have most of this footage if it wasn't for people with phones. However, people use their phones for all sorts of reasons. It could have been someone making notes for a review which would have become a particularly scathing review after an incident like that.
Important things to consider about a couple of these: 1. Courtney Love has had to deal with crap from "fans" for so long, including really obnoxious antics like this Brazilian fan pulled off. I don't blame her one bit for being upset. 2. The front man from The Vines is autistic and that adds another layer to why he completely melted down during that live performance. Hours of intense rehearsal and overstimulation drove him into that direction. I felt horrible watching that footage.
You don't mess with Shirley Manson. By all accounts, she's one of the nicest people in rock but if you mess with her, she knows how to handle herself. There's several videos of her stopping the show because someone in the audience was acting up. There's also footage of her falling off the stage and barely missing a note, she's tough.
In that KISS clip you can clearly see Peter Criss just completely blasted. He's being held up by Ace as they're standing there heckling the idiot in the audience. He also needed help returning to his drum kit. I would say that Paul was probably a bit more agitated prior to the laser pointer.
I wore and “I Don’t Know How But They Found Me” shirt to a “Panic! At The Disco” concert - front row. I don’t think the band saw me, but I got a bunch of chuckling compliments.
I'd like to think she meant that "every day I'm reminded of Kurt, whether I want to be or not" rather than "I resent my child because of who her father was."
Shirley Manson calling you a boy should make your heart sink alone. I kept my mouth further shut when she was talking. 😆 Has there ever been people who seemed like they would never be confrontational people that you either saw in an argument or a fight?
Loved seeing Shirley Manson making an absolute holy show of that silly fella who was tossing trash at the band on stage. She certainly put him in his place, and I'll bet my beer money he'll think twice before doing that again. Best moment in what was a very entertaining video imho....
Billy Corgan's rant was definitely staged that year. No Twitter then or heavy social media then.I saw him do this in New York. Then months later in Toronto at the same part of the show...😅
People - usually guys - hyped up on adrenaline, often under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and under the stress of trying to perform live for anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours in front of an audience that is usually drunk. In many of these cases, entertainers who are past their prime and desperately trying to cling to relevancy out of a love for music, financial desperation, and/or not knowing what else to do with their lives. Honestly, it's kind of surprising there aren't even more problems than there are.
Playing One Song For 6 Hours with no breaks is nuts, The Vines should have sued them for that, especially after the “neglecting their studies” joke which was probably in poor taste.
It's insane to me how most of these meltdowns of years past were caused by rude hecklers and invasive clowns purposefully taunting and throwing crap at the artists and that was seen as crossing a line, compared to today where attention starved, TikTok addicted psychos throwing stuff to the detriment of artists' and performers' wellbeing has become normalized.
The Jane's Addiction incident is ironic to me because I went to Lollapalooza for the first time this summer, a festival that Perry Farrell started. And on an unrelated note, I also saw Foo Fighters in New York City. However, I never saw this metldown or Dave Grohl cheating on his wife coming.
I could not love Shirley Manson more. The Kurt Cobain poster "fan" - we all know that Courtney Love is not what one would call stable (and she really doesn't look well in that clip) so there's a special place in hell for a "fan" like that. I had never seen the Kurt Cobain meltdown... that one is frightening and makes me wonder about the people around him.
The Jane's Addiction meltdown is really sad to be since I've been into Jane's Addiction since 1993. They were such a highly respected band that was weird, cool and could seemingly do anything. Perry being intoxicated and going after Dave over his guitar being too "loud" is just heartbreaking for several reasons, one of which being he probably feels he can't perform unless intoxicated. This being the apparent end to such a legendary band means the future generations probably won't have Jane's Addiction to discover. This will be their legacy and it is a TRAGIC waste! I am hoping a comeback can happen.
I think Eric Avery was also in that Garbage show, he was their bassist for some time after Jane's and it looked like him tuning the bass behind Shirley... Also it was not the first time this happened with Perry either
What I will never understand is why anyone would throw anything heavy, dangerous or that could injure the person onstage at musicians 🤷🤷🤷. Aside from the aforementioned danger.....you could easily ruin the entire concert for everyone else there. Not to mention how incredibly rude it is. Why would you pay money to watch musicians that you would throw anything at?
There was a band on Letterman that the audience reacted well to, and Dave asked them to play it again. They seemed to be totally flummoxed by the request. So Dave turned to Paul and the band, and, even though that was the first time the Late Show band had heard the song, they played it without a hitch. I got the impression none of them were impressed by the guest band.
The Vine's lead singer was always a mess. I remember at Q101's Twisted 9 at the Rosemont Horizon in Rosemont, IL he was so tore up he walked right off stage and fell into the crowd. 30 seconds later he emerges, being lifted back on stage by security, and acting as if nothing ever happened. Coincidentally, Disturbed headlined that event, but the lead singer didn't act like a douche canoe to anyone there.
The irony of an almost 40 year old Ronnie Radke calling someone out for being a “40 year old man” wearing that shirt while threatening to sic his dad on him. Meanwhile he’s 40 now and still picks fights with people half his age daily.
Back in 2014ish when FiR was doing small/mid venue shows, Ronnie would have meltdowns over people wearing escape the fate shirts. It was exactly that moment I was no longer a fan.
Ronnie Radke got that upset over a shirt that simply said "F Ronnie Radke"? God forbid he got wrestling signs made about him. He'd probably blow a gasket if he sees "Ronnie Radke eats Corn the Long Way"
@JoshNotJohn0 I actually think that wrestling fans would put Ronald McDonald faces on the signs - with Radke's name on it. Wrestling fans at one time used to torment Jerry 'The King' Lawler with Burger King crowns.
What about Billy Joel, that tore up a microphone stand but kept performing 😄 because somebody was put in the spotlight on the audience and as well-known rants "LET ME DO MY SHOW FOR CHRIST SAKE!"
Elvis made and sold “I Hate Elvis” pins and Fred Durst used to lead the crowd in “F*ck Limp Bizkit” chants at LB shows. If Ronnie were smart he would have been the one making and selling the “F*ck Ronnie Radke” shirts too,
Shirley Manson didn’t have a meltdown. In fact, she should be on a separate list like 10 Rock Stars Who Rightfully Put Idiotic Concertgoers in Their Place.
There are really only 2 correct ways Ronnie Radke could have handled that situation: Option 1 - Point out the shirt and say you think it's funny Option 2 - Say nothing at all Getting upset only proved the t-shirt wearer's point
I sometimes feel a bit dirty watching stuff like this, like I'm part of the problem ogling the train wreck...on the other hand if a growna$$ man wants to make a fool of himself in the age of phone cameras he can hardly get mad when people share said fool-making episode all over the internet.
One of these days, Ronnie's mouth is going to get him in a whole lot of trouble. This guy has stated, more than once, that he could kick any WWE wrestlers behind in a real confrontation. I assure you, if Ronnie took that attitude with Brock Lesnar, Ronnie wouldn't last 15 seconds.
With the fact that he's dating Saraya, and also with his behavior on social media, I'm just waiting for someone like Nyla or Kenny to leave a handprint on his face.
@joshuacoleman8000 - Honestly, I think he took too many trips to the shower with his Uncle Sandusky, and he is desperately trying to recapture his manhood.
@@joshuacoleman8000- That is - if you meant Ronnie. If you meant Saraya, I don't know what to say. I wish Saraya the best of luck in her personal life - she is going to need it.
David Draiman has always been such a dweeb. Like those weird nerdy hard rock loving kids in high school who somehow got lucky enough to be in a big band and is trying WAAAY too hard to be cool rather than just be genuine(ly) cool.
Based on other video clips from Disturbed shows where I've seen David Draiman interacting with and comforting audience members, my impression is that he is basically a good person who just let his ego get in the way for a moment and acted on impulse when he called out that one lady for texting during his show without knowing what the circumstances were. So personally I'm not going to hold that against him. We all act without thinking and let our ego get the best of us from time to time. I do it and everyone in these comments does it. Nobody's perfect.
falling in reverse sucks, like threatening a kid in the crowd with your "dad's biker gang", you're the one on stage why are you getting butthurt over some kid who paid to see you?
David Drainman has freaking eagle eye man! It's understandable in a venue so small that he can see that but DAMN!! Also if you knew that there was a hail storm and you left your child at home, I'm sorry but that's bad parenting

I can’t image the migraine inducing nightmare dealing with the Jane’s Addiction mess. I don’t think there’s enough Tylenol in the world to alleviate that headache.

I do think he just got caught up in the moment and it was an awkward situation. He just took it a bit far but hey he apologized later on.
@@RockedNet Yeah. And the fact that he apologized later makes him even better.
There are certainly a lot of things *to* hold against him, however.

falling in reverse sucks, like threatening a kid in the crowd with your "dad's biker gang", you're the one on stage why are you getting butthurt over some kid who paid to see you?
David Drainman has freaking eagle eye man! It's understandable in a venue so small that he can see that but DAMN!! Also if you knew that there was a hail storm and you left your child at home, I'm sorry but that's bad parenting
Courtney Love acting out the way she did is a total sign of GUILT. No doubt
Some of these musicians immature af
Billy corgan should stick to music I think and stay away from wrestling nwa
my question is why didn’t the mother leave the show to be with her kids if they were scared?
That's kinda my take, too. Just leave, if it's so bad that you've got your eyes laser locked on your phone for the whole show.
