Oh, Shawn. I can see that look of depression that I have personally have been dealing with for a long time! I , too, have given birth to 3 children.
I am grandmother of 2 grand babies and they are 3000 miles away... 😂😂😂😢
Stay strong and keep your best friend, your husband, at the forefront of the good and the bad!love you guys

From her previous clip, it almost sounded like Shawn felt a stigma around being a person with means and relatively ample support and still having post-partum depression. And I think it is so helpful for her to say that out loud, because I am sure there are many Moms who feel like they have no right to their experience, because they have so many other blessings in their lives. But that's not how physical stress/ trauma and hormones and neurotransmitters work. Being wealthy and having a helpful husband, does not make you immune to post-partum issues and it's okay to say that and it's okay to ask for help❤ So thank you guys for sharing your experiences, so it encourages other families not to suffer in silence and to continue to ask for help.

I noticed a shift in both of you a while back. Like not the same happy people. I knew something was up. Prayers for you all. I have gone through similar depression, but did not and do not have the proper support thankfully, you do.

Look into matrescence... the period in which a woman transitions into motherhood ...it validates a lot of those feelings and definitely something I wish I knew about before becoming a mom.
Also there's a quote by erica komisar that is something like "a woman can do it all...have a career, goals, raise kids...but just not all at the same time." May you find joy in your journey!

Thank you so much for talking about this. As a culture we have to do better at caring for and looking after our moms who have recently given birth.

I admire your courage to be open and sharing this experience. It will help many. I want to say thank you to two beautiful people and two kind compassionate souls.
All I have to offer is this; I know it may mot feel like it right this moment but this is temporary it will pass, You will move through it and you will feel your sunshine again.
I appreciate all that you do and I appreciate you.

Simplifying made a huge difference for me. Less stuff to care for, less demands on my time. More being at home.

What I regret is that I couldn't enjoy my baby the first months because I was so tired all the time, sleep deprived but it was something I couldn't control. I wish if I have another baby that doesn't happend again

I like that he's speaking about too! In this scenario it gives off him validating what she has said about her PPD experience.
