Yeah, too many people feel “big d” when they can obliterate entire games with no real effort. I personally love failing and having to try again. These games are meant to be difficult at times. It’s why my paladin has 10 charisma :)
I think our wintertime fun will be with friends who want to play various types of characters. Who cares what is the best, the only lesson is fun. Let's go! Although an Xmas moment in Avernus would be great.
I have watched countless bard warlock build videos and found the majority quite confusing (im new to DnD haha) but this one is amazing. Love the way you went throufh this build, great video!
Just a note that apparently since Patch #5, the extra attack you get from your pact weapon doesn't stack anymore in Honor mode (only this difficulty). Still work in other difficulty.

Hell yeah that makes me stoked!! It definitely is a great Durge playthrough, and yeah man fun builds are the best imo, really cause even without “min/max” you’re still gonna be strong af AND have more fun
Just stole a variation of the build i give Wyll for my DU so needed a new build for Wyll. This does look like an absolute epic CC build, just shutting absolutely everyone down for any situation/positioning of the enemy. My only question though is how is the damage looking? Yeah Hex/EB get it done, but can you put in solid damage if you go a round or two just with the rapier?? I'm going to have to try this (fyi thanks for repping Slow. No one ever ever talks about it and it's my favorite CC spell when Hold Person/Monster is NA). Going to need to make some new head cannon for why Wyll is an Archfey for me now lol
No, he doesn’t, but he presents himself as one, especially after him and his Band of the Hawk attained glory and he was favored, plus the dialogue choices in game fit well
Do you think this build is viable in Honour, even with the Thirsting Blade stacking bug fixed? I am trying to wrack my brains to come up with a lore-friendly Wyll build, and pretty much the only thing that makes sense is a Swords Bardlock.
Ok, I'm sure you all are gonna think I'm a total tool, but who's Griffith? Just from the video and comments I'm guessing he's either a movie or TV character, but a character from what? I'm actually a total noob. Never actually played DnD, or any of the previous Baldur's Gate games. But I've always been into the whole fantasy RPG stuff. The wife actually played a lot of DnD growing up, and a lot of the stuff I've always been into is kinda "DnD adjacent", if that makes any sense. I've read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and The Hobbit, and started The Silmarillion but never finished it. Grew up watching a lot of fantasy adventure movies and TV shows. Have played a little Final Fantasy, love the Zelda games. All the Diablo games. Etc. But the only Griffith I know of was this kid named Josh Griffith that used to go to the grade school I was in. Lol Was just curious cause he sounds interesting and I'm sure whatever he came from would be interesting too. Also, just started BG3 a couple weeks ago, and chose to do a Bard character; probably cuz I'm actually a musician, songwriter, performer, and I'd like to think fairly charismatic. Lol So figured I'd kinda go with what I know, or what would fit me closest. But on my next play-through will probably just go full Barbarian beast mode! :D
He’s one of the main characters of “Berserk”, a manga with a few anime adaptations. I highly recommend reading the manga rather than watching the animes, as they truly do not do the media justice. If you want to watch the anime though, definitely check out the 90s version first. It’s dated, but it’s the most faithful adaptation to date. That being said, still suggest reading the manga

Bard for some reason has some particular acts of speech that really fit the way Griffith would act. Especially for deception, god is it insane.

i wanted to do Griffith run for a while but lately i fell in love with Alastor from "Hazbin Hotel" and i think this build fits him perfectly.
Haven’t watched it yet but that’s the second time I’ve heard of it 🤔 now I have to check it out! Hell yeah!
