Popup Fire Pit Grill Grates - are they any good?

  • 1 year on from our first review of the Fireside Outdoor Pop-up Fire Pit, we finally get around to testing the optional accessory Grill Top
    Massive shout out to Subscriber Matt for offering to purchase this for us!

    Lamb Shanks Ingredient list
    (recipe for 2 people, increase quantities for more):
    1 lamb shank per person (2 Shanks)
    150g Bacon or Speck
    1 medium brown onion
    3 large sprigs of rosemary
    1 heaped teaspoon crushed garlic (3 to 4 cloves fresh garlic chopped)
    1 large zucchini
    1 Capsicum (red or green)
    1 bottle Passata (640g)
    500ml chicken or beef stock (beef stock will be richer)
    2 tablespoons tomato paste

    Thanks for the shout out! Finally got around to watching it! Tahbilk also do awesome wine and are very much environmentally conscious and 100% carbon neutral.

    Thanks so much for this. Now I’m convinced I need to get the grill top. You pup is gorgeous and also Bonsoy Almond milk is delicious in Mash potato.

      Thanks Cassandra! We've used the grill top pretty much every trip since, it is great, you won't be disappointed with it! We'll have a look at the Almond milk, thanks for the tip!

    Yer have seen the grill moded so can move up and down. Good to change temperature. An have it higher smoke fish etc. But i like it cheers

    Love the fact you did a review on the fire pit and it's grill plates, that was stopping me from buying it, now I know you can get grill plates I'll buy one, my current fire pit is just to heavy at 14kgs.
    Sorry a pet hate of mine, your Aussie its Camp Oven, other countries may call it Dutch Oven, Imported Camp Ovens are called Dutch Oven but hey its 🇦🇺
    Please dont hate me for it but I'm very patriotic.

      Thanks Dennis, glad this helped you out! As for the naming, I'm technically a pom, so Dutch oven it is 😜 (my wife is German, but it's camp oven to her too lol)
