No offence to any one but international students lining up in food banks which is not only illegal, also immoral for a young foreign national who vowed to bring own money into Canada and Canadaian economy then pushing away the most vulnerables. It is shameful to any full grown adult Human who can stand on his own feet with no physical disabilities and then standing in line with Pregnant women or handicapped elderly veteran. 😢
Some students don't have access to a kitchen. When I lived at one of the Saint Mary's University residences in '12 - '13, I had a 10-meal-a-week plan and no kitchen, so I couldn't make much of my own food. I remember making sandwiches on top of my mini fridge. It was doable, yes, but far from ideal.
I'm Kevin from Oshawa, I definitely feel for the students here. Post secondary students don't have a lot of money. The college and university dining rooms are charging way too much for the basic meals everyone needs to survive. My advice to the students is to protest this in a big way. Everyone get together and protests the high cost of food
according to environmental minister, you need to eat less and starve so they can meet the climate goals because carbon tax will discourage consumption!
If these students are bothered about price increases, then they should take their complaints to their local Liberal or NDP member of parliament, because inflation is THEIR fault because THEY are the ones who backed the ridiculously inflationary monetary policies of the Liberal-NDP federal government.
@@Ynalawit’s literally not that simple. when you’re working as well as going to school you are busier then you will probably be for the rest of your life. they don’t have time to cook.

Mandatory meal plans are common now at colleges in Canada.
Most students do have access to kitchens & should use 'em. Your example is good one to follow when you don't have one. No excuses.@@AnnapurnaMoffatt
