    Oh my gosh I just found your account!!!! This resonates SO MUCH with my life. I never used to get anxiety before I smoked weed. One time I had too much of an edible and went into a panic attack and since then my anxiety has gotten worse then ended up in the hospital twice 2 months ago, now I have been on Lexapro for 6 weeks. My days seem so much better now. I never thought of looking at it this way until seeing your video. Thank YOU for sharing your story. 🙏🏼

    💯 agree. I made myself suffer for so many months when if I started the meds sooner I could have started healing.

    I don't know if you remember me man, but I asked you if Lexapro was ok, you gave me courage to take it, it was hard the first 2 weeks but I thank God and you for giving me hope. I do get panic attacks but they are not severe and rare now. Thanks for the videos !!!!!

    Hi first I related a lot with your video, I am right now entering a bad phase anxiety and depression wise and plus I have pharmacophobia. I really don’t know how to deal with me and it’s not the first time but feels like I will not get better and medication feels so scary

    This video is super helpful Aaron. I had similar experience with weed many years ago and losing track of time and freaking out. Im still new into my own journey with Lexapro and was on 5mg for about 8 weeks and then just bumped up to 7.5mg in the last week (definitely noticing some side effects coming back and just needing to remind myself that I will be fine).

      I’ve just start lexapro at 10mg and I got a bad reaction having blurry vision. My doctor told me to start going into 5mgs but I’m scared AF abt the same reaction I had. Does anybody have any advice?

    • @nathankeep767
      @nathankeep767 3 года назад +1

      Nothing wrong with even starting at 2.5mg and being on that for a minute and go to 5mg, then 7.5 and then see how you are doing. Talk with your doctor though before doing any of that. Some folks are just more sensitive to medication than others so take it easy!

    I had the same experience except it was mushrooms not weed. I never had anxiety, that night I took mushrooms it literally opened a different branch of thought that connected me to anxiety panic and doom, I believe this happens with THC as well. psilocybin (mushrooms) is used in clinical settings for people with medication resistant depression and anxiety, the doctors say it opens different thought branches which can open parts of the brain that would other wise be dormient, which is good ,,, but it can also be bad.
    THC has now been linked to elevated cases of psychosis now that it is legal in many parts of the world.

    Here again Dear Aron: since you are one really understanding knowledgeable guy of these conditions, I’d like to ask you: My Doctor increased my dose from 15mg to 20mg almost a week ago. It’s been a bit over a month since I started on Lexapro. I am feeling a lot like in the clouds, head aches, dizziness, and a cloudy/blurry vision. Will these effects also go away as weeks go by or should I find another doctor? I also have this somehow obsessive thoughts sometimes that someone is doing witchy stuff on me. I’ve heard is a common thought many of us experiences (?!).

    • @aaronsanxiety3571
      @aaronsanxiety3571  3 года назад +2

      Yes, much of that should subside. A month is typical for a dosage change if 15mg wasn't giving you the results you wanted. Sounds like your doctor is doing what is normal for this medication. Try to be patient it takes a bit to get everything just right. But when you do, you will find it was al with it.

      Sabes si 5mg es suficiente para depresión y ansiedad? O es una perdida de tiempo. Los efectos secundarios son muy fuertes para mí. (Hay médicos que dicen sí y otros que tiene que ser 10mg)
