I lost my husband 11 months ago. It has been a difficult year for me and my sons as we navigate life without him. I got to see Bruce on Broadway just a few days ago and the theme of the show was people and places that he has lost along the way but how they still live on within him. The show closed with this beautiful song which moved me (and many others) to tears. This show and this song were another step in the ongoing healing process, so I thank you Bruce for sharing.
My father Bob DeJessa died of covid-19 and I gave his bestfriend Paul Whistler his guitar. This song hits home hard right now. I miss him so much! Thank you for the great celebration of life that is this song Bruce.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I was up talking with an old veteran friend really an angel who I took care of for a bit. Well he told me about a few songs he loves, this was one. He has heart failure and docs just told him 2 yrs. First thing I said it God has the last say don't believe the doctors. Anyway this man saved me from an abusive relationship gave me a safe place to live and hid me away from my abuser. Fed me made me strong lifted me up and let me fly. Springsteen's music touches and moves so many people's heart in Japan (I'm one of them). No matter where you are from, we are all human that share the same spiritual value that we somehow understand death is not the end of life, but starting point of eternal life as sprit.
Anyone who has been visited in a dream by someone they've lost knows what this song is about. They are much more vivid than dreams. They are visitations.
Bruce always has a way of making it so real, so true to the reality we all experience. He is a masterful musician of course, but his story telling, WOW!!!!!!!!
Amazing song, my brother passed 2 days after video was published. It brings him back to me, we should cherish every moment. Thanks Bruce for capturing the feelings. Sean long may you live in my dreams Love forever!!
My brother recommended this song to me and it's quite touching as we are both getting on a bit now and I realised that by the time you grow up and mature and find who you are there aren't many years left in the tank......thanks brother for sending me this great song to listen too.
I love how the video clips go back and forth between youth and current life of each ESB member and Bruce. The song is for a special friend, but applies to all lost loved ones - footage of the Big Man bring poinent performances of the 70s to mind. Someday we will think of Bruce in this song too. Meanwhile Bruce, get WELL and thrive - the world need musical poets.
We played it in the crematorium as the curtains closed at my brothers funeral, I cried my eyes out, we both love Bruce, I hope to go and see him in Dublin next year, if I'm lucky enough to get a ticket.
My dear old dad used to say that to me every time I left him to go home, I'd say 'see you later dad' he would reply 'I'll see you in my dreams'. That Bruce wrote this was very moving for me.
When my older brother passed away in 2009, one of Bruce's songs helped me cope with my grief...it's called "Terry's Song". The refrain really resounded with me: "When they built you, brother, they turned dust into gold. When they built you, brother, they broke the mold." And now this beautiful song brings me comfort, not just on this day of remembrance, but every day when I remember my brother, my dad, my mom and all my loved ones who have passed away. Thank you, Bruce.

He just sung this for the 20th anniversary of the South tower being hit on FOX (9/11) and it almost made me cry. I also saw it made someone at the ceremony cry. Never Forget (9/11/01) Never Forget me to! (12/7/41) Bare in mind I was not born during the time but I still get emotional discussing it.
Love the words, allows me to think of my late wife, taken sadly at 47, played this to the children and we all loved it. It also got us all talking about our own memories of my wife and their mum.
Bruce's music resonates because it conveys our hopes, dreams, triumphs and tragedies. Beautiful sentiment in this song -as in so many others. I know no one needs me to say this as it is why many of us have been fans since the 1970's. So I'll say only - THANKS BRUCE. ✌ ☮ 🌎 🇺🇸 🎶 🎵
Oh Bruce this moves me so much. When my mom first died I just got through the days waiting to go to bed so that I could do just that. You are as popular as you are because you touch what is real in people and you articulate it for them. You are a treasure.
Cried my eyes out at this song many times and then he played it live when we went to see him and my sister and I were both in tears. We lost our mum to cancer six years ago. It never gets easier but this song voices my thoughts perfectly
Just heard this song on the 9/11 memorial, made me cry. Beautiful song, made me think of my grandpa, I miss you grandpa and I’ve got your guitar here with me .
I'm watching this Livestream also. I actually watched this thinking how fitting it would be here, then all of a sudden, there he is at the service performing it. A real credit I think for him to be there right now.

I also just saw this, a perfect song for missing someone. My son passed away in 2008 at 27. I have his guitar in my bedroom, I have all his books, and all his albums. This song is amazing. Leave it to Bruce Springsteen to be able to write a song and exactly how much I miss my son☮️💟

I see my Mom in my dreams. I remember we were on a bench looking out to sea on a Promenade, the sky was beautiful colours, I had my arm around my Mom. As I had to leave I explained to my Mom I was not allowed to stay and she cried. When I awoke in the morning my arm was still in the same position as it was in my dream. Try to savour the good moments and I hope you have plenty to look back on. May the good outweigh the regret! Thanks Bruce, you have been essential company for this journey ❤

Anyway this man saved me from an abusive relationship gave me a safe place to live and hid me away from my abuser. Fed me made me strong lifted me up and let me fly. I'm gonna miss him so much when he's gone!! 😢
@@jamiesdawn I pray that you both continue to be there for each other. I am so glad you got out of that abusive relationship and have been safe, thanks to that Veteran. It is so hard to lose those whom you love. May you both be blessed!
I’m so so sorry
Oh god I love you
Springsteen's music touches and moves so many people's heart in Japan (I'm one of them). No matter where you are from, we are all human that share the same spiritual value that we somehow understand death is not the end of life, but starting point of eternal life as sprit.

Anyone who has been visited in a dream by someone they've lost knows what this song is about. They are much more vivid than dreams. They are visitations.
I always felt that with my friends and relatives that have passed.
How true thank you x
You are so right x
So True, I’ve had that wonderful experience.
Your comment has stuck in my mind you are so right you don't know how much you are right God bless

The death is not the end... indeed Bruce! And I'll see my dearest ones in my dreams. Thanks a lot Boss!

My brother recommended this song to me and it's quite touching as we are both getting on a bit now and I realised that by the time you grow up and mature and find who you are there aren't many years left in the tank......thanks brother for sending me this great song to listen too.
Bruce you are my heart, always have been and always will be. I fell in love with your Born to Run album when I was 13 and that was it for life❤️

Hello, how are you doing over there.?
I only and will only listen to Bruce♥️
When I listen to this song , I remember my best friend, my Beautiful Mom♥️

Great song. The older I get, the more I appreciate Bruce Springsteen. Great musician and great person.
@Bruce Springsteen Yeah, sure Mr. Springsteen, sir.
You got a bridge to sell?
I absolutely love him
I love how the video clips go back and forth between youth and current life of each ESB member and Bruce.
Thanks boss for this fantastic song. I have lost many of my family and friends over the years! Hope to see them again someday 🙏💙 Love from Norway 🇳🇴❤️
My dear old dad used to say that to me every time I left him to go home, I'd say 'see you later dad' he would reply 'I'll see you in my dreams'. That Bruce wrote this was very moving for me.

@Bruce Springsteen hi Bruce. 🤟
@Bruce Springsteen that’s awesome! Lol!!! I bet you’ll have some people contacting you at that email. I love messin with folks, too.

Unbelievable song with powerful lyrics. Another brilliant masterpiece by Bruce!!! Can't stop playing this song!!
He just sung this for the 20th anniversary of the South tower being hit on FOX (9/11) and it almost made me cry. I also saw it made someone at the ceremony cry.
Never Forget (9/11/01)
Never Forget me to! (12/7/41)
Bare in mind I was not born during the time but I still get emotional discussing it.

My condolences, stranger. My father died four years ago. I miss him every day. I feel you.

Same as that.

Bruce Springsteen: a musician that still remained a man. His music is synthesized in these words.
I miss my beautiful Mom so much, I promised her "till we will meet again"

I went to Dusseldorf and saw him in June ......A Living Experience like no other.
In 1987 I attended a function where we were talking about our musical preferences. I said I loved the music of Bruce Springsteen (I was 39 years of age).
