hi guys! i just wanted to clear up the air a little - i know i don’t have hooded eyes 😅 i coined the term “semi-hooded” in the video because i have a lot of eyelid skin / a somewhat dense fold but i know my eyes are not the definition of folded. i didn’t mean to offend anyone and really hope it doesn’t come off as pretentious of me to make this video - i just wanted to show these styles because i thought it’d be useful / helpful so please no hate comments (most of you have been very respectful and kind about letting me know, so thank you) ❤️
duuude it's even harder when you're eyesight is really bad and your eyes aren't the same shape, I really can't do much styles with it because of it, but I resort to wiping up the excess with a q tip and that works well enough lmao edit: and i can't forget to include the fact that my eyes are also both teary and greasy so I can't do tightlining either even if I use primer lmaooo

Girl, I don't want to break your self perception, but your eyes are not hooded xD For eyes to be hooded, the crease hides the lid. It hides popular eyes make-up, and that's why it's hard to do eyeliner. You have a beautiful double eyelid, but it doesn't hide your lid at all :) You have a lot of remaining space to do eyeliner. But that's a blessing, trust me xD Btw, I LOVE YOUR HAIR

Someone with wide-set hooded eyes here!! Wearing thick eyeliner on the ends of my eyes makes my eyes look further apart and more bug-eyed, so drawing in the corners of my eyes makes them look better and more balanced!! I highly recommend it, especially because it also draws from the fox eye trend :)

for the last one, whenever i draw on undereye lashes i always add some dark eyeshadow at the bottom since it covers the mistakes n can also help with the round/cutesy look :)) maybe if you try that look again you can try that too !!
3:10 can confirm, lots of indian women apply kajaal to their bottom eyelids' waterlines and nearly every time it looks great! although usually we don't use eyeliner because the kajaal on itself looks good enough
The first one was definitely my favorite on you and that gradient wasn't too bad! I think you did a good job. I think this would be such a cool series not just for trying different eyeliners but also lip techniques and eyebrow shapes too.

for anyone who has monolids that go over your eye lid entirely: i learned to just put it on the hood and if it shows when you close your eyes, draw an extra under the hood so it looks neat

I used to ''tightline'' (just the top) a lot in highschool, but I stopped eventually when I was told it's easy to get eye infections like that. Thoughts? It's really good for straight and sparse eyelashes, and because I have hooded x monolid eyes I spent most of my teen years behind on the winged eyeliner trend lmao
It's hard to get all of it off! And it can spread an infection *under* the eyelid if left on too long. The pictures I've seen were terrifying. More commonly is getting clogged oil glands near the bases of the eyelashes, which can create tiny pus-colored bumps there that feel like you have scratchy dirt on the eyeball when you blink. (I have them for other reasons) So if anyone reading this tightlines, use a good makeup remover and I recommend using it twice.
I have really hooded eyes and tend to put my liner on my water line but it doesn't always last to even 1st period bc I have watery eyes so it doesn't stay
The struggle with Asian hooded eyes... To this day I still don't know which eyeliner shape ismost flattering for me 😂 It changes every few months for me
I never knew I had somewhat hooded eyelids because my eyes are so round and large, but when I started trying to do those cool eyeliner techniques, I started noticing that I have some extra skin flaps on my eyelid. The twiggy look or the lines on the upper eyelid literally disappear when I look straight forward. There's no point for me to do it because you can't see unless I look down. I love the look though 🥲
