    Pause! 00:40
    Tracks are never included people. Steve-O is right it will take you two to three times as long as even four times as long as the window. Plus you're dealing with mold and all kinds of nastiness. If you're charging $4 for the window you make sure your charging at least 8 to 10 for the tracks.

    • @JorgeChavez-xm2ew
      @JorgeChavez-xm2ew 5 лет назад

      Is that $4 in and out or just outside?

    • @SteveOthewindowcleaner
      @SteveOthewindowcleaner  5 лет назад

      Great point...and I would say in Colorado we don’t deal with half of the stuff as some may experience in more humid climates.

      Well.. I have just cleaned a 2 story house and charged the owner for tracks too. She was impressed and wanted me to clean it every year. I gave her my estimate for 12 month cleaning which is 20% cheaper as she is my regular client now. I also explained her that next time I will be just checking the tracks and will clean them if needed. It worked both ways. The tracks never being cleaned for years!!! So, there is no need to clean them every 12 months. Also, I will greatly cut down on my cleaning time making more money :-)

    I do a basic wipe on a regular window cleaning. Deep cleaning on window tracks is an extra charge. I use the red track brush like you showed or a small libman brush and a rigid cordless shop vac. Great video bro. Keep grinding

      Josh Dicus I also use a handheld vac, the ryobi. How many houses can you do out of one charge? I typically get one big house or two smaller before having to charge it. I was thinking of getting the model you have or just getting an inverted for the cab of my truck to keep mine charging. Thx

      @joshdicus2906 5 лет назад

      Express Mobile Services llc. I would say the battery lasts for at least two large houses. We’ve never had issues with the battery life. I like to keep an extra battery on my van for a backup.

    Some good advice, the third detailing brush is best. For stuck screens vacuum. Tracks for me are simple.
    1.clean outside what can't be seen from the inside.
    2. Open the window after cleaning the inside, small detail brush agitate, sweep out dirt. Solution, muck towel, wipe again.

    Also, that "a special window track brush " is a bit week. I have to use the once you showed first before I use that one. It is a kind of redundancy to me.

  • @NEWNATURE777

    Great! Just charge what ever it's reasonable for it, consider ad add-on service, customers will appreciate so, mist our residential customers we do get them cause we do clean tracks and screen 🤔🤓

  • @ObjectiveObserver2O
    @ObjectiveObserver2O 5 лет назад

    Awesome! I do my tracks pretty much the same way. However, there some differences.
    I clean them from outside first and then, when I am inside, I clean the other side from inside. I see now it is inconvenient. I think I will go inside first and clean them first. I mean the entire track should be done first before cleaning anything else.
    Vacuum is a great idea. I tried cans with compressed air, but it was messy. I considered vacuum before but it seemed to me kind of bulky and expensive way. Thanks Steve, I see it works great! Also, quite often (more likely in old aluminium frames) there is a narrow gap on the bottom of the bottom sash and it is extremely difficult to clean. I just run my screwdriver to destroy any wasp nests there and that's it. And, yes! It takes more time than cleaning just window glass!
    One more thing. In the corners of the aluminium frame, quite often, I find silicone insulation. I used to vigorously cleaned around them, but stopped doing it, as I realized that it can just destroy the seal and let moisture get into the house. I just do my best and explained the owner it.
    Pricing. Agree 100%! I usually give them estimate for a regular maintenance cleaning and for full deep cleaning and explain the difference.

    Video is on point. We typically do a quick sweep with a track brush (The red brush lasts longer than the black brush) not sure what our competitors do! I have only had 3 customers in 8 years that wanted deep cleaning to there tracks after they here the cost involved they are happy with our featured service.

      I use chip brush. I buy em in a ten pack at Home Depot. They're made from hogs hair so they wear down, unlike paint brushes that get all frayed because they're synthetic. They work great for getting in corners and tight spots. Been using em for the last 15 years. I also use a Hoover backpack vacuum. Kinda pricey but well worth it. I used a stinger for years and got sick of holding it between my legs for taller windows. Lastly, I use my old edge towels for tough grime. Get a little soap and water on it and use it with a flathead screwdriver where needed. We fly through tracks using these tools and methods

  • @danielmann5427
    @danielmann5427 5 лет назад

    I use a tack puller tool. It works well with both popping off screens and cleaning tracks. When cleaning tracks with it I wrap a damp rag around it. You can get into corners easily with it.
