Dr. Joe DeMarco, chiropractor and owner of OcraMed Health, discusses shoulder mobility and what you can do to improve it.
In today's video, I discuss how certain muscles that attach around the shoulder complex, can build up fascial adhesions (scar tissue) and thus restrict shoulder mobility.
These muscles are the subclavius, pectoralis minor and the trapezius (upper).
I demonstrate how you can perform simple, yet effective, fascial release techniques to these muscles at home. These techniques will break up the fascial adhesions resulting in increased shoulder mobility.
Give these techniques a try and let me know what you think in the comment section down below. I'd love to hear your feedback!

Hey, Doc! Thanks for this. I was a very active and fit Soldier for 21 years, and survived a lot of injuries. One parachute accident broke my neck, back, and both collar bones. I continued to serve and actually thrived for another 10 years. But two years after retirement, my left shoulder sorta "locked up" and its been in tons of pain for over a year. Been looking for something to help, so I cant wait to try your shoulder tricks!

I have a very sore spot on my upper trap and followed along with your video; turn the head, stretch and dig the fingers in. Works great. The most disturbing thing is that RUclips seemed to know I had an issue and presented a solution. Thanks.
