You just keep nailing all of my problems that I've had for years. I thought I had tennis/golfer elbow all this time until i saw your Brachioradialis video and now you figured out my shoulder issue... I'm definitely going to go get me one of those knobby balls! Its getting to the point where I can't drive my stick shift car some days because of the popping and snapping. I was supposed to have a "shoulder reconstruction" operation over 20 years ago but I strarted doing the crossover symmetry/iron scap rubber band program which got me like 80% healthy but it still pops and clicks and snaps and it feels unstable especially if I bench press. Flat bar bench and flat bar overhead press are off limits these days. Maybe this is the final thing i need to get fixed up thanks! As a 35 year old ski racer, veteran hockey and football player, competitive mountain biker, and career ditch digger, I wish you were my nextdoor neighbor LOL we would be very very good friends. Every joint in my body is shot to shit lol. I wish i could afford to just have you on retainer to follow me around everywhere I go ha
Don't give up on trying to fix these problems that you have! Just keep working on them. They should get a little better every day, week, month. Good luck!
Just curious dude as I’m 21 years old and have been surfing with my shoulder for years now basically sounds the exact same as what you have here in seen doctors and waiting to get scans , but it’s just stopping me doing my life and training to my full potential and little things like using a mouse on a pc is painful , what exactly is that band routine u did , and where can I find it as Im wanting to give it a go , thank you
Youre in fantastic shape sir. I used to be but im in a rut with sc joint pain after a decade of shoulder pain. I really hope i can get back to my former glory
Who are you and how did you just fix my chronic pain?I stuck my finger in those spots that you're talking about. And I move my arm even though the clicking still there.I got relief..
I get clicking with lateral raises, left side only. Tonight I did upright rows with no clicking. Just watched your video bcz I can’t stand limited! I put two fingers in the sweet spot and it clicked several times & then stopped. I’m into calisthenics. I do TRX pushups & pulls etc without a problem. Only lateral raises is there a problem.
@ It went away, thank God! I had to get well rounded for it to stop. My posterior was much more developed than my lateral & anterior deltoids. Thanks for asking.
For me when I do a dumbel shoulder shoulder press, or sometimes a incline dumbel press, when my arm is at the bottom of the rep around 45 degrees it feels like something in my forearm bicep area just tore, but it dosent hurt
You might want to check out some other videos on my channel that have to do with some different muscles such as the brachioradialis, pronator teres, biceps, etc. Good luck!!
Tucking your elbows in whilst pressing also keeps the shoulders in a sturdy position, preventing clicking. Bench pressing for example, with the elbows parallel to the body or close to rather than the bar. I think the only reason you wouldn't is if perhaps you have strong shoulders.
I got diagnosed with partial tear of the inferior ligament of the AC. Is this exercise still useful for my case considering it's been a month since my diagnosis? I still feel pain and that clicking feeling when raising my arn Also thank you so much for your quality content !
Mines grinding after injury 😢 with clicking. Front top of the shoulder like tendon is hitting the bone horrible ive tried stretches to open up the space for the tendons too move smoothly and still not helping waitong for ultra sound mri see whoch tendons ive injured been waiting since february to sort this waiting times are ridiculas. 😂 2 seperate tendons i believe i torn. Bicep tendon and supraspintus. Bicep was tightening up before this injury got bad, and my supraspintus muscle after the injury i noticed was tender, so them 2 tendons gone 🙄. Even though now i have full range motion if i lift my arm outwards with 1kg the sound of the tendon at the front making like a gridning sound at the top end of the motion. Gunna try this method
it was a certain shoulder exercise at the gym, from the next day on (which was 2 weeks ago) I have extremely loud popping sound in my left AC joint whenever I do abduction movements (No pain nor weakness associated) but it gives me a feeling of discomfort rather than the extensively loud sound that makes everyone around tell that I need to see a doctor .. I did an xray which reveald nothing .. should I do an mri? or stick to those exercises?
I would discuss the possible MRI with your doctor who ordered the X-ray. In the meantime, if the exercises feel comfortable, I would continue to perform them. Good luck!!
Thanks for the routine. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. When I have my arm at 90 degrees, level with my shoulder and rotate my arm back so my hand raises into the "Greeting or Hi" gesture postion my shoulder clicks/pops no matter how much of those exercise I do. It's driving me crazy! How do I fix it?
I actually figured this exercise myself via trial and error. It was on my 2nd or 3rd attempt after 13 years of clicking. It worked. Seeing this video confirms I'm not crazy and it isn't just me. Thanks!
I had the clicking when i shoulder press, when i bring my hand down, and the angle between the arm and the back goes below 90 degrees, that's when i feel the crack. When i did your exercise (I don't have this type of ball, so i held it with my hands, which didn't work), i felt a crack at the end of the motion where i rotated my arm from a forward position to an upward position, right when my arm locked into the pressing motion, and again (stronger) exactly when i started rotating my arm from upright to forward position. Because i don't have this special type of ball, i can't really hold it with my fingers. Is there anything else i can do to solve the clicking? It constantly cracks at this exact position
So when I bring my left arm up 90 degrees and then try and reach vertically with it, I'm physically unable to get it far back enough to be in line with my shoulder. So my arm is diagonal sorta thing if that makes sense
@@OcraMedHealth yeah I'm currently seeing an osteopath but yeah nothing abnormal found also had an X-ray. I get a lot of clicking during press exercises at the gym. The pec deck machine kills my left shoulder
You hold pressure on the lateral end of the collar bone with the spikey massage ball. Then you move the arm like I demonstrate in the video. Does that answer your question?
This works but now I have a new problem. Whenever I raise my arm perpendicular to my shoulder and rotate my arm into a shoulder pressing position. My elbow would crack
I have a slight separation of my A/C joint. Definitely have this clicking. There is is visual misalignment in the joint. Would this be something that could help me or should I avoid it?
Can you make a video on the throat/neck. I have muscles that pulls from my throat and over my clavicular/collarbone and Down to my shoulder. You Can actually see the muscles pull together when i relax. Doesn’t cause pain but is extremely annoying and feels unrealistic tight. No one in my country Can help with it i tried for many years to get rid of it.
I have a tight throat/ front of neck that pulls me forward and down (no buffalo hump or anything at all at the back- almost have nothing holding my scapulas together if honest) and it drives me nuts. Especially with swallowing and breathing at night- no sleep apnea tho this is musculoskeletal
As u can see from all of the comments, it really does help a lot of people. Sometimes these techniques have to be performed for several weeks for good results. Doing them once does not usually cure a problem that may have developed over several weeks, months or sometimes years. Good luck!
What a relief this had on my shoulders! Thank you so much, Joe!
You're very welcome!

Mine only does it on my left if I do external rotation fast

My collar bone clicks. When i do pulls, punching or some other exercise. I can't find any video about it either.😢
I have videos on ac and sc joints. It may be one of those joints causing problem. Good
Luck!
What exactly is the cause of the clicking and what muscle should I train to make it go away?
The cause is usually what I explain in the video. It's dysfunction involving the AC joint.
@@OcraMedHealth So pressing motions is the cause? That makes the joint unstable and that cause the dysfunction?
@@unogazzy84 There are many causes. Pressing motions can be one of them since exercises such as bench press can place a lot of stress on the AC joint.
So when I bring my left arm up 90 degrees and then try and reach vertically with it, I'm physically unable to get it far back enough to be in line with my shoulder. So my arm is diagonal sorta thing if that makes sense
