Dr. Joe DeMarco, chiropractor and owner of OcraMed Health, talks about shoulder pain and how to fix it.
The shoulder is a complex joint. That is why it is often referred to as the shoulder girdle or shoulder complex. Part of this shoulder girdle is the sternoclavicular joint.
As the shoulder moves, the clavicle (collarbone) also has to move. Movement of the clavicle occurs proximally at the sternoclavicular (SC) joint.
Over time, the sternoclavicular joint can become dysfunctional. This interferes with normal clavicular motion. Loss of clavicular motion can translate stress into the shoulder causing pain, loss of motion, stiffness, and general dysfunction. This can lead to acute shoulder injuries or might be the reason you are experiencing chronic shoulder problems.
Dr. Joe discusses the SC joint and demonstrates how to perform soft tissue release work to the clavicle and SC joint. This allows for the return of normal SC joint motion and function.

Thank you! Glad I can help!
I woke up with terrible SC pain. The techniques in this video just cleared up the pain and allowed me to enjoy digging in my garden another day. THANK YOU!
Happy to help!!
OMG! This was unbelievably useful! I have been suffering from pain in that area for the past month and about 10 minutes of pushing and nudging the joint has made a huge difference in the range of motion of my shoulder!! Thanks a million for this video.
Happy to help!!
Thank you. I have listened to a lot of video but this one resonates with me. I have been experiencing severe shoulder pain . I feel the grinding at the sc and ac joint while having a buring pain in the shoulder blade for a year now. Thanks again this makes sense.
You are so welcome
So glad I found you! Amazing how much better I feel after following your advice. I am a very active 68 year old that cycles 125 miles a week and do lots of pullups, chinups, dips and core exercises. I was still able to perform those exercises but I knew there was something wrong but could not pin point the problem. Thanks a million!
Happy to help! Keep training hard!!!
Wow. This video really helped a lot!. Been struggling for six months. Thank you.
Happy to help!! Good luck!
Great tips glad I came across your site 😀
Happy to help!!
Great video very very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
I suffer from this problem, but there is no pain. I will do this, as I said. You are the first person to help me find a solution. Thank you. You are a great man. I will let you know what happened to me after a while
Best of luck to you my friend!
Thanks for the video! I have been struggling with this pain for several months and have not been able to find an answer. You have described it perfectly. I will be going forward with my regular workouts while regularly doing these techniques. Thank you again and I will let you know how it goes in a few weeks!
Best of luck! Definitely let me know how it goes!!
Instantly subscribed as when I did first exercise my pain was relieved. Thanks sir
Awesome! Happy to help!!
I could cry right now. I have had pain in my right side clavicle that made me feel faint several times a day for the last two weeks. I can’t imagine those who commented dealing with this pain for years!! Omg. But, this has been the most intense, restrictive and debilitating pain for me in my lifetime. I watched several videos looking for help and found you… thank God! TYSM!!
Happy to help!! Good luck!
Are you ok now or still in pain? None of this helped me at all.
Wow!! I haven't been able to put my right hand behind my head in over 20 years. I've been working on my rotator cuff muscles, stretching, etc. I did these moves while I was watching the video and I was immediately able to put my right hand behind my head. Honestly, I wasn't even aware of the sternoclavicular joint and it's involvement in the overall movement. Thank you. Excellent video.
Happy to help!!
Great video's i just subbed after watching a few . Thank you from England.
Thanks for watching and subscribing my friend!!
Really enjoy the info. Much love from Denmark
Glad it was helpful!
I have been suffering from shoulder pain for almost 2 years with no diagnosis and negative xrays. Then I stumbled upon your video and tried you exercises and they have helped a lot. Not being able to fully raising my right arm after 4pm daily has been trying. I will continue your exercises until I am fully healed. I will follow up soon.
Good luck!!
so glad I came across this video, you resolved my problem
Happy to help!!
I came across this video as I've actually managed to hurt my left CS joint through golf when hitting some hard ground. However I've struggled with a right CS joint that moves up and clunk's back down with a pop every time I move my shoulder. I've seen three different medical professionals, it's caused me 15 years of not being able to use my shoulder properly. Now I find this. Its early days as I got the massage gun on it yesterday and tried to manipulate it but it literally doesn't move and it still pops but it feels better. I'll give it a few days to rest up a bit and have another go but I can't believe no other person I saw mentioned manipulating this joint and why it may be the reason I struggle with my shoulder. So thank you.
Happy to help and best of luck to you!!
Thank you sooooo much. The clavical is only part of my problems, but this has been very helpful. I subscribed….
Happy to help! Thanks for subscribing!
Outstanding video, can't thank you enough!!!!
Happy to help!!
Wow. This video really nailed it and describes to a tee what I've been feeling in that area for the longest time. I've had this on my left SC joint foreverrrrr. After performing the assessments in this video, the left side is totally hung up and immobile. I even have a noticeable "nub" right at the SC joint and a burning-type sensation when compared to the right side. Probably because the clavicle has become "unseated" from the manubrium. Perhaps this can be one major reason my left shoulder is getting re-injured.
Absolutely nailed this one, sir. I will incorporate these immediately and I look forward to eventually having a smooth, mobile SC joint so that I too may bench press forever and maybe this will contribute to improving my shoulder mechanics. It's gonna take some time...those facial adhesions are well entrenched.
Have a Like and a Subscribe as my way of showing gratitude.

Very helpful exercises for my SC joint traumatic pain.❤
Great to hear!
Wow thank you so much
For years myright side clavicle has protrudedand my right sc joint therapist have not picked up on it,I did have pain to touch but not more when I raised arm clavicle doesn't drop.I can feel glideding back.
Have ongoing r.shoulder issues do alot of physical work so excited that your exercises will help.
Thankyou
Good luck! Hope you recover quickly!!
Thank you - the near the end the one w/ the rubber ball pushing into the SC joint while doing a benchpress motion ! GOT A GOOD CLUNK! I hope my pain is gone! so far it feels great. thank you! this has been months I've had awkward AC/SC joint pain! :O
Awesome! Happy to help!!
Brooo it improves imidietly thank you!!!
Awesome! Best of luck to you my friend!
THank you for sharing!
My pleasure!
This is so helpful, thank you! I noticed that my right clavicle (where I started feeling some pain today) isn’t gliding as naturally. Will add this to my routine.
Best of luck!
Thank you so much, I've been struggling with left shoulder pain for months now and nothing seemed to really help. One thing i noticed was that my left SC joint was protruding more then my right. I tried these excersizes just now and allready feel way more relief by doing this just once than any other excersize. I can now reach overhead without having a pinching pain in the front of my shoulder. I will keep you updated by reacting to this comment the following weeks
Awesome! Keep me posted on your progress.
How are u now?
@@NmmmMmmmmmmmmmmm to be honest, didn't really do it after that the pain just went away
Really helpful. Liked how you analysed the problem. Just discovered might right side SC is not moving at all when I bring my arm forward and it makes my AC clunk. I knew it was painful but couldn’t decide what was actually wrong. Now going to do what you suggest for 6 weeks 😁
Best of luck!!
Thank you! I’ve been struggling with SC tightness for the last month (competitive table tennis). Ran through the exercises and nothing happened..got to the end of the video relaxed and followed your last few minutes and “Clunk!” Tightness and pressure gone. Now I need to fix the shoulder, same side. Thank you so much and I will be checking out your other videos! 👍🏽
Happy to help!!
My shoulder has been bothering me for YEARS and it finally got to the point today where I had to do some digging. I did the first technique here digging into the clavicle with 2 fingers and it already feels 99% back to normal. Honestly I can't believe it. This is incredible!
That’s great! Happy to help!
what else fo u recommend?

Great tips. Muchas gratias Amigo. 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Excellent. This exactly what I have been looking for. I have also used kinesio tape from the manubrium up the SCM and that has also helped. I have been told I need shoulder surgery! Not a hope in hell. Just a few of the movements in this video has alleviated the discomfort 50% in less than 15 minutes. Thank you.

Oh man, took me long time to found this. I felt pain in chest while breathing, going all the way to the back of the shoulder, especially some time after workouts. Already did everything... Stretching traps, strenghtening rotator cuffs. Some of this helped a little, some even more, but breathing pain didnt dissapeared, until i did what you said here. I was thinking all this time its shoulder problem, cause i do weighted pull ups... Thank you for this video, it was an eyeopener for me!

Year 2023 saw this video and applied the method @13:00 and problem solved. Thank u so much

I’m gonna try this. Feeling hopeful. I’ve got some subluxation bulging sc. 62yo, I got into pull ups a couple years back and I think that did it.

Fuck yea! Been struggling with this for a while now and I'm a wrestler so it seems like it's a typical wrestling injury. I always thought the problem was from my shoulder but the last weeks my SC Joint has been really swollen. Will be doing these exercises daily and try to relax a bit on the mat. Thanks Doc!
I had a car accident while wearing the seat belt, since then this pain and clinking of the SC joint bothered me a lot, and it went undiagnosed 💔
My neck muscles became tense
I just saw these techniques and noticed some tension relief from first time doing them.
I'll keep doing them every other day and update you with the results.
Thank you so much ..
Best of luck! Keep me posted on your progress!
update ? :)
keep it going boos
Screwed my right one up today bodyboarding, held onto board during a wipe out. Maybe caused by landing on my shoulder on a sand bank yesterday two days ago. Felt like the shoulder got pushed inwards. The wipeout today i’d say tipped it off as shoulder was weakened previously by the sand bank impact.
Hope the video can help. Good luck!
This has been helpful. I have a severe case of SC joint immobility. I found this to be insightful in that I can work the joint myself. I wish I knew this a year ago! My SC joint has been stiff and stuck for so long and has caused me to refrain from martial arts. This video has empowered me to take action and actively heal my SC joint. Do you have any recommendations for severe SC joint injuries and immobility? I do not have any fractures, but because I have had this injury for a long time, it has gotten substantially worse and more stubborn.
The techniques in this video should help. However, if you have a severe issue that has bothered you for quite sometime, it may require more time to fix it. So don't give up on the techniques to quickly. It can takes weeks (or even months) to release the joint and the clavicle area. Good luck!!
Been struggling with this for over a year now
Hope the video helps!
Thanks for your teaching! The relieving motions are simple but really helps alot. Now my collar bone crack sound when moving arms back and for is lighter. Hope it is soundless after continual practice.
Happy to help! Good luck!
Thank you very much for your advice please how often I do it one time daily or once each week.
Every other day should be enough. Good luck!
Great vid again, I'm still suffering with my neck shoulder back pain and muscle twitches issue been 6 years now, lost my gardening job, had every test going but still no closer to finding cause, very depressed of late, but seeing someone your age in such gud shape gives me hope I can eventually get fit again, Do you have any advice for constant muscle twitches/spasms?
Does the twitching occur when you work out or when you are sitting around trying to relax? Have you tried seeing a chiropractor?
@@OcraMedHealththanks for replying, The muscle twitches are present when I am trying to relax as I haven't been able to workout much in along while due to the neck pain, I have seen a chiropractor along while ago who clicked my neck and noticed my clavicle was protruding more on the left, he tried to adjust it, but nothing really helped the neck or clavicle.
The muscle twitches can be all over my body, so I am unsure if neck issue is causing this, or maybe the stress from the pain.
I would like to ask you also as I have alot of stomach issues and have seen online the vagus nerve connection, have you seen many stomach issues coinciding with neck problems in your patients?
Thanks.
Nice techniques if the sternoclavicular joint is stuck. But what if there is some laxity and with every motion sc joint moves out?
Laxity is an entirely different issue. Is it lax from a previous injury?
Great video! I am 68 been working out with weights for at least 45 years. All of a sudden I developed pain from my clavicle up the front of my neck when reaching or doing any movement in the gym over head. Then I noticed a good sized knot on my SJ. Not any pain at the joint though but some popping. Was wondering if this will heal on its on if I avoid using that shoulder for a while? Doc wants to do an MRI.
It may heal on it's own. Have the techniques from the video been of any help?
@@OcraMedHealth yes it does seem to help thank you. Hopefully after the MRI I'll know if there's a tear or not.
@@Kiskassklanwhat did your mri show. I’m having the same problem
@dennisschnur8679 Nothing was detached. I think they just refer to it as a sprain. Doc said that it won't come loose and not to worry about it. It's not causing pain now just feels funky popping. I noticed I can do some aggressive massaging over where the clavicle and the shoulder meets and my trap and it loosens things up. There are other exercises and massages for it on RUclips. Hope this helps.
Hi Dr. Joe,
Great detailed explanation.
Long story short, I’m 25 years old. I have noticed about a year now that my right clavicle is sticking out noticeably and causing pain in my shoulder and even sometimes in my chest, but never injured and no health issues. One time I went ER and did CT scan but the doctor said “No broken bones or dislocation” it’s kinda weird to me, I do some minor exercises, but still affecting my movements and causing so much pain, what should I do?😢
Thank you so much.
Give the techniques from the video a try for a few weeks. I would also find a good physical therapist or chiropractor in your area and get some treatment/evaluation. I also have other videos on fascial release work for different parts of the shoulder. Good luck!
I don't have shoulder pain, but my L sternoclavicular jt area has been really sore from side sleeping I think. Feels stiff and very sore to palpation. I just tried these techniques. Hope they help. Thank you
Best of luck!
Did it work?
Did they work ?
I sleep on one side of my body every single night. Recently I woke up with pain and pressure from my shoulder to my sternum. When I took a shower I felt a lump in the right side of my sternum, I took a look and yes, the lump( right side of my sternum) is very noticeable. The pain was subtle but is increasing. Been 2 days and the lump isn't going away. I'm afraid I may need surgery.
I would have it looked at if it appeared out of nowhere.
Same problem. I slept the same way and not the joint is swollen and its even clicking with excruciating pain
My left shoulder curls in and always in pain especially on left side of neck
Are you still alive?
Same with me. Lump, increasing pain 6 months ago. MRI showed partial subluxation of scj. Told to rest it but there not much improvement. I usually cycle and kayak but it's too painful. Any suggestions?? Feeling a bit desperate
Hey doc can you help some of that have winging scapula ?
Check out some of my videos on serratus anterior exercises. Good luck!
Hi, I had a question. When doing the exercise trying to push the call at bone back with the motion, my ac joint on the right doesn’t move. That’s the one I’m going to focus on right ?
Yes
Thanks for sharing the video about the SC Joint and Clavicle area. Recently I found my Clavicle head grow bigger compare the other side, and also paining. I went to see the Chinese doctor and he said it’s clavicle bone aging and shift to cause the bigger look.
Anyway I wonder if the clavicle head nearby SC joint can be back to normal? Can I do gym or swimming as usual? Thanks for your advice in advance!
Do activities as long as they don't cause pain. "Let pain be your guide" is my thought on injuries. Good luck!
@@OcraMedHealth Thabk you sir!
Sleeping on my side causes me to wake up with my collarbone locked up almost every day. It happens on whichever side I slept on the previous night. It's this dull ache and I don't have a lot of mobility right there. I have to sit up and push down on my shoulder with my other hand while stretching my neck up and in the opposite direction. It feels really tight and then all of sudden I get this really big, deep pop right in the sc side of my collarbone. After it pops, the area stays a little sore for a bit, but it does give me back mobility. Gonna be trying these tips because I recently started lifting more weight with my barbell squats and deadlifts, which is causing a similar kind of pain and limited mobility. However, I can't get it to pop to make it go away like I can when I first wake up. 🤷🏻♀️
I would work on the techniques from the video. Personally, I wouldn't try to make "pop". That might aggravate it. Also, if it's been going on for a while, I would have it evaluated. Best of luck!!
What if you have arthrosis on both of these two joints (I do)? Can you still do these exercises?
Work both sides.
Does these exercises help if my sc joint like pops out when I raise my arms up
It may. The sc joint may be "popping" out because of restrictions around other areas such as the clavicle. Once these restrictions are released, the popping may stop.
I hurt my shoulder 10 months ago and feel a hard grow on right side of neck right above collar bone…Pretty much near where u say SC joint is. It feels like bones or tendons, certain ones if i press and move it, it hurts. Could this growth be a SC injury i got from bench press? My shoulder also keeps cracking if i run or move it
Hard to say without examining the area directly. I would have it examined by a good sports doctor/therapist in your area. Good luck!!
Did you ever get this figured out? I have a small hard bump on my SC joint. I have always had shoulder pain and was a pitcher in college... wondering if this is what is causing that.
So when I pro- and retract my shoulder my SC joint actually goes backwards a little when I protract and forward when I retract, from what I understand of this video it should go the other way around right?
When you draw the arm/elbow back, like for a press exercise, there should be a posterior glide of the clavicle.
HOW DO YOU HANDLE LOCAL TENDERNESS AT STERNU M AND CLAVICLE JOINT?
I perform these techniques and then try not to perform any exercises that directly aggravate the area until it feels better.
Hello Doctor! I have a dislocation in that same place! How do I know it doesn't come from the thyroid? I have hyperthyroidism! a hug from Brazil!
You should have your doctor test your thyroid. It's really not a question I can answer for you. Best of luck to you!!
Doctor, I have problem with my clavicle but I don’t know what it is.
I did a radio, and the doctor said immobilize is the only solution
Please how can I send you the radio picture to understand more, now it’s been more than 7month and still feel pain especially when I moved it a lot and when it’s cold
Did the techniques from the video help?
Hi, thank you for the video! My current situation is very unique- every time i move my left arm, my collarbone makes a clicking sound and u can actually feel the ligament moving in/on the collarbone. The pain runs all the way from my collarbone to my upperback/shoulderblades. I did an MRI + Xray and it shows that the ligament is inflamed + my collarbones are not identical on both sides (the painful side has less gap and is higher than the other) My doctor only recommended that I stretch a lot and gave me some pain medications which arent helping. I've been having this issue for over a year now and it does not seem to get better... I cannot exercise/go to the gym anymore because it is always painful. Please help. Thank you again!
Sorry to hear about your injury. I hope the video can be of some assistance to you. Give them a try for the next few weeks. Good luck!
Does this condition can cause sternum pain? been dealing with stermum pain from the last 7 months, can't hit the gym because of that
Yes
for over a week now the nub on my right sc joint has been very sore to touch and is radiating pain across My collar bone up my neck, across my whole trap and down the muscle hugging right against my shoulder blade, went to the doc worried it was a fracture or something because no swelling, brusing or redness anywhere and had x-rays no breaks/fracture, wasn't a hole in my Lung, prescribed anti inflammatories, I can't even do any of these stretches/exercises my whole shoulder has limited movement trying to do anymore makes the already 7/10 pain into 10/10 almost pass out painful, I don't know what to do
I would see an orthopedic and get another opinion. For now, give it some rest. Good luck!
@OcraMed Health went to a chiro and discovered its a neck issue, I have 30% movement and no c curve my neck is dead straight
@@jamiewalker9501 I have had something similar sounding since march - since knowing it was a neck issue for you, are you any better pain-wise??
@Lauren Nyczak not really as of yet as im in phase 2 of degeneration in the next, need lots of adjustments and posture correction before it will get better
@Jamie Walker I'm the same. The chiro said I have a straight neck and no S curve. My clavicle and my neck have been giving me issues for about a month. Thank you for sharing. I thought I had a bone infuction

Hi Dr. Joe. I have been lifting weights for 15 years and recently noticed pain in the SC area when I do any overhead or pull exercises. Do you think it's safe to continue doing them while I do the exercises in this video or do you think i could potentially be making the injury worse?
Thanks
I would back off from the exercises that aggravate it for a couple weeks while you week these techniques. It will help you recover faster. Good luck!!
My sc joint pops out when I do military press and these exercises did help alot but the joint still pops out during military press what should I do?
Check out a video I did on fixing shoulder clicking. It might be helpful too.
@@OcraMedHealth I think its sc joint hypermobility maybe does that video help for that?
No, hypermobility is another issue. This video and the other one I recommended is more for fascial release work to help release tightness around the joint.
@@OcraMedHealth do you know anything that would help with hypermobility?
Thank you, I shall investigate. I have a click there everything I'm doing pullups

Dueto 2 accidents, i fall on shoulders both time and therefore clevicle and ac joint displaced to upward (no pain), but this displacement putting certain pressure on particular nerve, which interuptes digestion, feeling its pressed at bottom of scapula near spine, whats ur suggestion on this?, and is this exercises helpful in my case? Have it evaluated by a doctor/therapist first. Also, did you begin the techniques from this video yet? Did they help!
@@OcraMedHealth yes, during this sc 2 fingure massage technic, i feel one blood vessel near sc joint which is tensed, i massage it, then all of sudden i start feel gr8, everything opens up in torso, feels like pressure on that vessel realeased, it feels gud! It helping me.
My SC joint is a little swollen and tender to touch, but then i get pain along my collarbone towards the AC joint on any motion that causes my shoulder to raise or move forward and backward. I dont know what caused it. Happened after a day of heavy back and trap workouts, then was sore and painful later in the day. Doing the massages dont seem to help much. I will give it another week but i may need to see a specialist.
Definitely have it evaluated if it doesn’t get better. Good luck!
Hi Dr. Joe, my sc joint has been popping with no pain for about a week. This is more of an annoyance than a pain. I believe that I overtrained with HIT weight lifting. This popping only occurs when extending across my body in a round house punch type movement. I am going to rest for 6-12 weeks to address the overtraining. Is this something for concern? I am 51 years old with 35 years of weightlifting experience.
Work the techniques from the video for a few weeks and see if they help. If it doesn't get better, then have it looked at by a doctor/therapist in your area. It's more than likely just some degenerative type change going on from years of wear and tear. It not uncommon for us "over 50" guys! But with a little soft tissue work, we can always keep training!
@@OcraMedHealth Thanks for the reply and information. Take care brother.
@@celticspirit1 Any progress in the last month? I am experiencing the same after overtraining.
@@Oruji No. switched to mountain biking and kettlebells but popping still there. No pain so I guess I have to live with it.

its my sc joint that clicks and pops
Sounds like you have a slight separation. Most doctors do not do anything for something like that if there is no pain and no instability. It's more of just a cosmetic issue. With that being said, I would also work the techniques that I demonstrate in the video. It may help the clicking/grinding. Good luck!
@@OcraMedHealth thank you for responding really do appreciate it, is it more prone to injury now though I’m worried it’s gonna snap out of place when I’m doing bench press or other training probably sounds stupid I know.
My right sternoclavicular joint subluxation do these exercise help me but i feel weird pain it is not actuall pain
It's worth giving these techniques a try. However, I would also have it evaluated by a therapist/doctor to see exactly what the problem is.
When I put my arm with up when pressing down I felt a pop I think it fell out of place when I fell over
Is the clavicle on one side elevated? If so, you may have tore something.
@@OcraMedHealth yes it is but it's now feeling better it's just a bit sore
here is my case when i hit puberty this started and i noticed it but didnt give it any attention
Now i rarely feel pain but have noticable difficulty in the movement including moving my shoulder to the jaw on my left sc joint (try it)
now that i go to the gym after months of traiining i realized that all this time my right shoulder was noticably bigger than the left .At first i thought just imbalance but then i remebered that every time i workout whatever exersise it is, pushing, front raises, shoulder press ,in my left shoulder i dont ever feel the tension nor the soreness at all in my front delt and that is why it is smaller . Oh and by the way if you think its bad form or dominat hand imbalance trust me its not because i dont feel my left front delt almost at all maybe10%only
Do you have any clue what is going on?
To much going on here to try to solve in the comment section of a RUclips video. Sorry my friend. This is something that really could use an evaluation by a professional. I would find a good therapist/doctor in your area. Good luck my friend!
I can’t do any of these, ive already tried physio therapy I’ve been in pain and had this for over a year my right SC hurts so much, I cry everyday I can’t find the right help, I don’t know how much longer I can go like this, I feel like it’s partly dislocated and the ligaments are torn, idk man please someone
Have you seen an orthopedic and had any diagnostic tests done?
I dislocated my SC joint and it’s still pressed out (3 years ago bike accident) It’s discouraging to actually train. Any advice, seems like it will not go back into place.
Unfortunately, if you tore ligaments, the bone most likely will not go back into it's original position. The same thing can happen with a third degree a-c joint separation.
@@OcraMedHealth yea, it is unfortunate and it’s bothersome to start training again
@@OcraMedHealth what does this typically mean for treatment or lifting plan?
Can SC joint issues cause scapular winging?
Not to my knowledge.
Should I avoid bench & shoulder press for like a month? Whenever I put my left arm up in front of my body my collarbone pops out at the SC joint. And then when I lower it goes back in. My right side is fine tho...
My thought is always, "let pain be your guide". If an exercise hurts, skip it for now. Perform movements that are pain free. Good luck!
@@OcraMedHealth hmmm actually it is pain free. Just very annoying when it pops out during daily activities and stuff. And sometimes I have a pulling sensation toward my throat.

My clavicle sc is shifted backwards (posterior) severe pain in the shoulder and lots of pain right below the collar bone. Any guidance?
Give the techniques from the video a try for a few weeks. Also, if the pain is severe, I would have it checked out by a doctor/therapist in your area. Good luck my friend!
So I've got my left inner clavicle joint protruding a bit and have pain during specifing movemnt especially pulling my shoulders forward and down also my whole sternum has pain when flexing the pecs. It's been 6 month and don't know what to do.
Has the techniques from this video helped at all. Give them some time. Also, make sure to have the area evaluated by a doctor/therapist in your area. They may have some answers for you. Good luck!
I went to a physical therapist and he got to the conclusion that its maybe something from the neck and gave me neck exericses did them for about 2-3 months, no result. I'll have to go to a doctor but it wont be in the next 3-4 months.
Would you also do these with a left sternoclavicular subluxation caused from an accident?
Recent accident? What type of injury was sustained?
Car hit my daughter while she was on a bike. 2.5 years ago. Therapy for a year. Still painful, crunchy. Left SC joint protruding foward
@@nancyignagni6618 You should be able to perform the fascial release work in that area. If concerned, talk to her doctor/therapist first. Good luck!
is the fascial release video available?

Update on this listen to everything he saying laying down. But here's the secret. While laying down let your shoulders that's hurting hang off the bed. And push And tug on that collar bone while doing 15:04 excersize. I felt the biggest snap ever in my scapula. It feels so back to normal but SUPER SORE and painful because I basically just snapped my shoulder back in place. Prepare to make urself an arm sling asking cuz ur going to need it
Thanks for your feedback!

Hi.. i have soreness and sharp pain when i palpate above mid collarbone. I can’t figure it out what is that? Coulb be TOS or nerve related? It’s kinda deep dull pain when i press on it.
Are you referring to directly on the bone itself? Did you sustain a trauma?
@@OcraMedHealth it’s kinda right above collarbone, maybe little deeper inside. I can’t tell for sure. I haven’t had any kind of trauma allthough i did have minor injury to ac joint about year ago. And it bothers me ever since. It was better but now i don’t feel pain at the ac joint but at the collarbone. It’s dull sharp pain when i depress my shoulder and adduct my arm. That’s when i feel it the most. Could be nerve related?
@@antoniozan8077 it might be. I would have an X-ray taken. Definitely have it evaluated. You won’t really know what’s going on until someone evaluates it. Good luck!
@@OcraMedHealth i did an x-ray. It showed everything perfect, no separation. Who should i see next then?
@@antoniozan8077 I would find a good physical therapist or chiropractor.
My right sternoclavicle joint pops whenever i lift my arm upwards. At first i thought it will be alright but after some time it started getting annoying. I used to do push ups and pull ups . I feel the pop when i am swimming . After this condition I've stopped working out and swimming. Its been 3 moths . But the popping is getting more vigorous. My right side scj is more protruded than my left side .
And now , my left side sc joint has also started to pop out. I didn't do anything. Its just annoying. I've immobilized my left arm for a week now , but it hasn't stopped.
I've also consulted many orthopaedic doctors and physiotherapist, everyone says it's nothing.
Can you suggest me some ideas and exercise pls . It would mean a lot for me . Pls do reply.
That is exactly what the video is about. Follow the techniques that I demonstrate for the next several weeks. Good luck and let me know how it feels.
Sure , will do
@@OcraMedHealthone of my orthopaedic doctor said that there is subluxation in my right side sc joint ligament. He said that it will heal itself and told me to rest for a month . But it has been four months and I don't see any improvement in the condition ofy sc joint
Also my left side sc joint has started to pop out whenever I lift my arm upwards .
I've been doing these methods you mentioned in this video for 4 weeks , but still I don't see any improvement.
I know I am asking you a second time , but can you suggest some other method for strengthening the ligaments in my sc joint ?
My left SC joint is making a crunching sound and I can hear it and feel it.
Is there anything I can do to get rid of this?
Thank you
