- Went for a quick hike up Camelback in Phoenix,Arizona which led to witnessing the fire department rescuing an injured hiker. There were 12 fire trucks at the trail head when we started. Once we got about a quarter of the way up they closed the trail while the chopper landed and loaded the hiker inside. Apparently he messed up his knee and possibly tore an ACL. Injuries are unknown but the rescue was pretty rad. The spot the helicopter “landed” is so small one of the rescuers told us they can only put down one of the skids and have to mostly hover in place.
That’s crazy I was gonna head up there but it was closed for the rescue. Went to flatiron instead which was way cooler
What happened?
Someone had a knee injury possible torn ACL. Was pretty cool to see da choppppa though. The rescue guy said it was his 3rd rescue in 2 days 🤦🏽♂️
Landing costs the patient nothing, it's the take off costs that will kill them..Just Sayin' !!
