  • Went for a quick hike up Camelback in Phoenix,Arizona which led to witnessing the fire department rescuing an injured hiker. There were 12 fire trucks at the trail head when we started. Once we got about a quarter of the way up they closed the trail while the chopper landed and loaded the hiker inside. Apparently he messed up his knee and possibly tore an ACL. Injuries are unknown but the rescue was pretty rad. The spot the helicopter “landed” is so small one of the rescuers told us they can only put down one of the skids and have to mostly hover in place.
