You want to set your heat press to 320°F for EasyWeed Stretch, and make sure you have even FIRM pressure. You can tack the Stretch layer for one to two seconds. Peel hot. Then lay the EasyWeed over it and press for the full 15 seconds.. You can just keep the settings the same when layering EasyWeed over it.
Joe's shirt is done with a printable material called colorPrint Easy. For a nice matte finish, check out EasyWeed Stretch - You can apply to the same fabrics as EasyWeed.
Maybe after the last one, but using teflon after each layer is not necessary, and would heat the shirt up more, causing more shrinkage, which is exactly what he was trying to avoid.
Great video . Can you do a video on siser products and we know htv can create test designs but what if we want more complex designs what products are available
For the longevity of your heat press, you should use a cover sheet but it's not totally necessary when applying HTV. We would still recommend it 100% when using an iron however.
I didn't think you could layer easy weed on top of easy weed. I was told to always use strip flock for the initial layer. Then use easy weed on top of the strip flock.
Oops I didn’t know you could tack it for 1 second. I did full 10 seconds for first layer then 10 for the 2nd layer. Everything has come out great still

Lower loop in capital D is noticeably out of registration.
Your content is great, has been a blessing during covid with training not being offered anywhere. Thanks

Do you not have to use parchment paper over the top, between the shirt and press?
not for just regular cotton shirts!
What if you want to put different colours but not layer on top of one another ?is it the same 1 second ,then 2nd press 15 seconds?
yep! same way to apply
Did he say he is using "easy weed advantage"? Never heard of that
yep! EasyWeed advantage is:
-low heat application
-hot peel
-heat press weeding trick
-layerable

So, I don’t need to add a Teflon sheet after my first application? I am using an easy press. Help!
So should I wash my shirt first be for adding the HTV? So will I not have to worry about Shrinking that you’re talking about
You can wash the shirt first, but if you are making a shirt for another person/customer, typically you arent going to wash the garment first.

On your bekind to Detroit. Can this be done on a cricut explore machine??
Yes, it most certainly can! :)
Is the regular htv always shiny (like your shirt logo)? Which vinyl would be a nice matte finish, just the easy weed stretch?

SiserNorthAmerica thanks! I have been looking at the easyweed. Any recommendations for siser distributors on the eastern end of Canada?
if you can send an email to info@siserna.com and let them know your province, we'll get back to you with your closest distributor.
WHY DIDNT YOU USE TEFLON AFTER REMOVING THE PLASTIC

How did u get the second layer word to be skinner than the first word when u placed it on the first layer.?
You need to set that up in your artwork. You actually start with the skinnier layer and then "contour" the thicker layer.
Great video . Can you do a video on siser products and we know htv can create test designs but what if we want more complex designs what products are available
Thanks Joe. I’ve been using easyweed and the second layer doesn’t match up with the first after I press it.
On your word BEKIND. A they the same font?
Why did you use three layers of different easyweeds on your design ?
To show how you are able to layer Siser EasyWeed HTV :)
I see you don't use a protective sheet while heat pressing. Won't the unprotected colors stick to the top plate?

Maybe they are going into the EZ off market.

this vid was hella smooth
Thanks joe
This video helped me learn how to layer. Now I feel like a pro!
Is it safe to say that you don't need a cover sheet at all for Easyweed?
No, you can see the mark it left on the close up at the end.
You need a tool apron for your pressing tools! LOL love you product and videos!
Love your videos!
Can you layer ALL Siser Htv? This is the best brand and all I use for best results. Great video I didn’t know you could put one htv on top of another
