This is the first tutorial I've watched that actually broke down the process without overwhelming me. I purchased so many fragrance oil samples and was completely frustrated. Thank you for this. Honestly, you reinspired me.
Awesome Video! Here is the hack I use...I cut my Qtips in half after I dip them so I can use both sides. Then, I place the Qtips in a small snack ziplock baggie. If you find you need to make a scent stronger, then you would dip another Qtip and place it in the baggie. Hope you can use this hack.
I'm in the process of starting my own business that will include Candles. I have seen a few people in the comments section have said that the process can be very overwhelming because there is so much to consider especially if you're like me and not very familiar with scents. I appreciate that I came across your video because it's very informative and I really like that you have listed the equipment as well as the way that you have explained everything and have a range of related content to also help guide me through the process.
Just what I needed! My business has been up since late September but just as expected I haven't sold as many candles and they're mostly to family and friends. I had a client at work wanting me to make him a lemongrass candle. Lemongrass and anything citrus are difficult scents to work with. They're so light once they set. Much to my disappointment, even after I cured my lemongrass candle, there was no smell at all and I just couldn't disappoint this client 😔 I make soap too and have the same results of the citrus scents not smelling after it cures.
Thank you for this tutorial. I just started making candles and found the fragrance blending overwhelming. This makes a lot of sense. You should be a model, very pretty.
Thank you for this video because I was over in my little space, thinking that I was weird for doing blending like this because I use what I have readily accessible and can get a lot easier than the professional strips. I know for me cuz I have glass jars around, I usually grab one of each and test that way.
Thanks. Needed this information. So helpful. I'm glad I found you. Also, you are pleasant to watch. I'm not sure that's the correct word to use, but some vlogs or videos are aggressive in their approach. Yours are so informative and real. I appreciate that.
Hey, what an awesome video. As someone who has just purchased wax for the first time I have been struggling on how to choose and combine scents. I never would have thought to use the method you described, I probably would have just poured oils together and wasted alot! I have one question, if you see this, once you determine the scent combo you want is there a specific way to then go about combining the oils! Such as do you start 50/50, or more of one scent etc. Thanks in advance if you have any more tips!
Hey lady, flaming candle has a sandalwood vanilla an it smells AMAZING, I mixed my Gardenia tuberose with it. Smells so goood. Can you do a video on how to custom blend fragrances.
Hello! I love this idea! A question, do use the same (one and only) twist off the jar for every scent you want to test? If yes, how do you clean them to rinse the smell off the jar? Your response will be highly appreciated!
I save almost every jar from things like sauces, jams and salsa, I just think they can be reused for something. So every time you finish a little jar of food/sauces you can clean with dish soap and white vinegar to remove odors. Let air dry really well before putting cap back on. Then you may be able to collect a few to use for this purpose. I definitely think her recommendation of alcohol is important too for the final step and in-between testing.
Thank you so much for this video, it was very helpful. Do you have a vid on how to combine the oils once you have found the ones you would like to mix? Or will you be making one soon?
Can I combine a fruity, cirtusy, sweet, summery smell like mango with a subtle, sleepy, wintery smell like lavendar? I want to make a fun, homey candle. PS: I adore this Mango and Peppermint wax melts candle combo !
no sounds like a conflict. try lavender and vanilla. mango and peppermint dont sound so good together. maybe make it and ask for feedback from friends.

Are the fragrance oil or essential oil?
Thank you so much for this video, it was very helpful. Do you have a vid on how to combine the oils once you have found the ones you would like to mix? Or will you be making one soon?
what is your question? after learning how to blend fragrances you should be able to blend them
Completely new. Hahaha. Where would a Canadian go about buying candle scents?
hey there. great video but i cannot find the one that u say how to calculate the percentage of each fragnance. may u help me on that please? :)
sure here: ruclips.net/video/dnbJL3oHYK0/видео.html
Can you use the glass jar that we use to make candles? An empty one?
How much fragrance oil and wax would recommend for an 6oz jar?
Pls what is the bud you used for the test called?
"Bud"?
I like to use a qtip cut it in half and use those. 2 in 1 🙋♀️
oooh that's smart. To save on qtips and get more scents!!!
What brand essential oils do you use?
I use fragrance oils
Where do you purchase your oils?
www.hiveandhoneycandleco.com/bossvision
I have always wanted to try mixing fragrances but how does the clp labelling work?
explain clp
@@bossvision sorry my mistake clp labels is the sane as warning labels I'm here confusing myself 🤦🏾♀️
Is it important to spray alchohol?
i don't know
Heyyy I need some tips ❤
How can I help you?
❤❤
So lets say you are mixing two or three scents in a 13oz vessel, what percent of each fragrance do you pour in your wax?
❤
What’s the biggest size bottle that you typically buy at a time for fragrance oils?
16oz or more to save on shipping costs
@@bossvision thank you 😭😭💜💜
