Love your videos! Jacobi and Houston remind me of my best friend and me as children. Fast forward he's 59 and I'm 57. We are still best friends, mutual best men at our weddings, and godfathers to our children!! Keep up the good work. Those boys will cherish your love and fatherly input forever!!
Love the the farm life you guys are raising really great family. This video was longer really enjoyed the water shots and seeing the time and effort you put in to spending quality time. Thank you for taking us along. God Bless Arms Family .
Yeah I was wishing that dad would take some initiative and get him more involve... made me sad not seeing him do as much when you could tell on his face he wanted too
Good to see Jackbie. That smile on houstons face is a smile from a dad that made him happy.your a great dad Daniel. Your a great and wonderful family ,and you make Jackbie fell like family❤love for the Arms Family Homestead! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I just made a homemade trap is with my brothers yesterday🙂.Tell Houston I said hey 👋. I love the vids so much as soon as a hear about them I go and watch them. My brother loves to watch y’all to
This is something we do about every other day! We use a store trap like yours and 3 or 4 bottles. We catch mainly crawdads. Tons of fun. We feed them to our chickens! Lots of fun. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us brother!
Great video- I did that with my kids back in the 80s. The store bought ones also can catch snakes, small turtles, even frogs . Be kind- leave the top of the trap just above the waterline so the snake or other air breathers can come up for air. Thanks.
Once Houston discovers how much you fun it is to ride in the mud, he will be muddy all the time. What a blessing you have in that land. God bless Daniel may he shine the love of Jesus on someone who needs it.
These boys are the perfect balance of each other. They both think the same. Jacoby seems very calculating and Houston is the narrator. Keep the passion young men!
At our lakeside cottage on a spring-fed lake in Maine, we used egg shells in our ‘Minnow Trap’ and caught lots of sunfish and crayfish. We’re going to try to make a Minnow Trap like yours. Itlooks awesome! Thanks for sharing! 🐟
Jacoby has fans by saying nothing at all, lol. I'm glad he has Houston for a friend, and I'm glad they have you as their role modal, that does things with them!
How rude! " Jacoby what's on your face? Why do you look dirty ? " they are outdoors and kids will be kids, let him have fun it's ok! " Jacoby why are you sitting back there? You look like an inmate? " WTH ? Plus you had him sitting back there from the start! Sorry if I'm sensitive but what if the tables were turned and someone treated your son ON Camera that way? HUGE fan of jacoby 🌺💝
Seriously cool stuff. They worked...NUFF SAID LOL. Ya'll are showing others who can't afford the store bought traps that there is still a way to do it. DIY Minnow trap specialists. 👍😁❤
It is crazy. How much you and your son look alike? That is so cool that your kids are left to go fishing. Some kids rather just stay at home and play video games.
The only problem with using bread is after the minnows eat it the yeast expands in their bellies especially in warm weather. When this happens they try to regurgitate it but the expansion is too rapid and it kills them. A good indication of this is if you notice your bait dying and bread is sticking out of their mouth. In warm weather and freshwater, I'd use dry dog food. For saltwater minnows (AKA Killies), I'd use a crush crab or clam. In both situations, a can of dog or cat food would also work in any temp. Just poke a few holes in the can on both sides so it sinks, and put it in the trap. Hope this helps! Keep up the great vids!!
Fifty-three haters at the time of this posting. SMH I just don't know what is wrong with people. Yeah, Houston can hog the camera, at times, and there's never enough air-time for Bear, but nothing that would ever put the thought of a 'thumbs down' in my head!
I saw the turkeys! Emma should have a chance this year. Happy fish trappin! Hope you get some! Happy Labor Day! Back to school BOY! Hi Jacobi😊 Huston your gonna make a good sportsman👍💕😊 Jo Jo in VT
Nice homemade traps but I think you need a flap door to get the minnows out. Loved to see Jacoby even if he is shy. Enjoyed seeing the turkeys, wild hogs and deer from the camera. Hope y'all had a great holiday. Thanks!
Well done, great production, informative, and best of all looks like fun, reminds me of my boys (and nephews and neighbors :) and me back in the day. Now I've got the grandson and granddaughter to show these things to. already have some plastic bottles of various sizes. My favorites are the rectangular juice bottles. (Welches etc.) they fit well together, and have large openings. A few more small holes will give the bread more flow out to attract fish, might give the store bought traps run for the..money? ha! Also great for public places such as lakes. If someone finds them..only out plastic bottle, not an expensive trap! And ya someone might say plastic bottles shouldn't be put in water, worse case, the bottles will sink and provide shelter for small fish to escape larger ones, thus increasing production of fish! And yup, put some bacon and dogfood in them and you'll have crawdads...they love that bacon! BTW my ears perked up when I heard Oklahoma, I'm an Okie myself:-) Great job! Good kids having fun...even the big kid lol
I have a store trap rigged up with pieces of a clothes hanger to hold the bacon. I live in OKC so im not about to leave them out over night. But after 30-45 minutes, most of the time, I'll have 7-15 small sunfish for bait.
Daniel...you are batting a thousand when it comes to losing Go-Pro's.....don't do it!. You are a trip...but thats what makes your channel so enjoyable...as always prayers with you and your fellow officers....😎🖒
Mr arms another great and wonderful video love it got to love bear good dog he loves you I can't wait for the next video much love from Atlanta Georgia
Smart idea to park your four wheeler on dry ground Houston, but I have it on good authority that there is nothing wrong with parking them in the mud too occasionally ;)
So , Huston has has Strep through 4 times in one year...so any or the dogs kiss directly in or on the mouth? I found out when my daughter was having the same problem...my daughter for strep everytime we went to my nieces house...a nurse let me know that the dog can harbor the strep. But doesn't really get sick . The cure is for the dog to take medicine the same time as the kiddos...
You guys HAVE to get a thermal optic for hogs hunting. Its amazing! We have never gone to the stand at night, and not brought home the bacon. Pricey....but a sure bet
I make those plastic traps for flies... not fishing flys, but the ones in the barn. Cheap and throwaways. Just hang a few from rafters, doorways or walls. You would be surprised at the amount flies they will catch!... BLOOD and rancid meat and/or guts and a bit of anything sweet to keep it moist is best bait.. You can't smell it from 5 foot away, but flies can and find the way in. Don't put holes in sides or cut off screw top threads, keep hole small. Flies will find blood anywhere, fast... Just throw away whole thing away when full.
Hey Daniel, love your channel. I don’t mean to be a safety Sally here but cutting the top out of the top of the first plastic trap Kind of looks like you also we’re going for a possible home heart surgery procedure. LOL! Just giving you a hard time. Keep doing great videos. I pray for you and your family often.
Daniel, it's kinda funny about those turkeys -- we, technically, live in a subdivision, but the building sites are a minimum of 1 acre each. Well, we were coming home from going to town a couple of weeks ago, and about 6 or 7 wild turkeys were crossing the paved road we travel on our way home! Funny, because you can't shoot in a residential area! lol!
I’m curious, how many acres do you have? It was interesting to see the animals on your camera. Thanks for sharing. Also, thank you for your service as a state trooper.

Yeah I was wishing that dad would take some initiative and get him more involve... made me sad not seeing him do as much when you could tell on his face he wanted too

Why do people give you guys a thumbs down 63 of them?? You guys are the best channel ever!!!!!
Love you guys 👦
Jacoby is like Teller (Penn and Teller), he gets his point across with little to no talking at all. Wonderful smile! Take care all!
The "thing" on his face was a shy smile. Jacobi is a very cute boy!
I agree
Same
That is melanin not mud lol

Houston's explanation on who Jacobi is, great!
Coby spoke I had to reply it to make sure lol. Coby sure is a cute but shy kid. Just love it more when he joins in x
*wombate hawkins ... Houston needs to stop being the attention seeker‼️*
I think he's just camera shy.
I can see Houston with his own Huge channel ! He is really good at this stuff! Enjoyed it guys!
It is so much fun to watch the excitement of the boys ..thanks for sharing their adventure
Those boys are lucky to have a dad like this
spending time with young boys in the outdoors like that is the best investment of his time a man can make. Those two boys are lucky.
Exactly.
Thank you Oklahoma for sending support to Carolina Coast! Love the traps!
These boys are the perfect balance of each other. They both think the same. Jacoby seems very calculating and Houston is the narrator. Keep the passion young men!

Emma Dalrymple Yee I’m guna second that you took the words right out of my mouth ❤️🇬🇧
Yeah leave Jacob alone he's shy. See how he responded
What have you got on your face?
2nd inappropriate remark!
👹👌💕😏😘🙃😛😺😻😻

I would say the home made trap worked pretty good, considering it would have and may end up in a land fill. It now can be used for the "bait trap"!
Thumbs up, just cause those two boys are to darn cute. Way to have them out having fun and learning things..
Good to see you have plenty of help. Love the trail cam footage. 🤗

I see 17 haters gave the video a thumbs down. Houston and Jacobi, I am your biggest fan.

Love how excited Houston gets about hunting and fishing would love to fishing and hunting with y'all😍😍😍😍
You can always put a small hole on both sides of the middle of your home made traps and then use a stick or a tent peg to hold them in place.
I just love watching the videos with Huston and Jacoby... I hope I spelled it right...
houston
Houston and Jacobi are such sweet friends pls tell Houston that’s a cool trap❤️❤️❤️🧡🧡🧡💛💛💛💚💚💚💙💙💙💜💜💜💖💖💖

Just love to see a dad taking time with his son in the outdoors. Way too many families are raising “Man Babies “.
Good to see some youngsters - learning about fishing & nature 👍 👌 👈
I like Jacoby. I am glad DJ found Jamie and they became friends. Good friends are hard to find. When it happens try to keep it going
jacoby is an absolute legend
Jacobi just fits in with the family he is just so cute giggling
We used cornmeal in our homemade traps but we would stand in the creek and hold it under the water. It was alot of fun.
Be the neck of the bottle. Love y'all. Happy labor day weekend
Hello Jacoby. So nice to meet you. I love how you are loving to Jacoby.
Totally enjoyed this refreshing video. The kid and the dogs are awesome!
Thanks guys I enjoyed your video, I did that with my kids when they were little 😁😁😁
Hi daniel..my daughter had sent you and Emma and Houston brachlets she made and we wanted to make sure you got them😆
Yep, the kids loved them. Emmalee makes a few and she really liked the design.
Like to see you show Your dogs more and play time with them.
Need to put holes in sides and bottom of home made traps for water flow through. Made many these myself for fishing bait.
Loved the underwater fish at the end!

Really enjoyed your video. Very sharp son!!
Try onion in the trap for bluegills and green sunfish!! Works great in Arkansas
This guy is really good.
We always used can dog food for bait....worked fantastic......
Smart idea to park your four wheeler on dry ground Houston, but I have it on good authority that there is nothing wrong with parking them in the mud too occasionally ;)

I’m jealous because some of my cousins live in Oklahoma! Love your videos (I live in Wisconsin)
why is that your profile pic
That was a maze video clip yous dun there it was good to see it. 👍 👍
Try painting the store bought trap white or sliver and you’ll catch more bait. The theory is that the black color scares the fish.
Houston look up four leaf clover traps that was the only ones we used we made are own they are great traps.
I made a video kind of like this with a storebought fishtrap and my homemade fish trap too. Video was great!
Good video
Thanks for information about traps.
Thank you for sharing and God bless.
You guys should also try cat/dog food in them those work well, great video guys.
Liked the vid, new subscriber. Good to teach the youngins
Please try licorish or red vine is works I have used it as bate
Well I guess you can say that the “homemade” trap is store bought be cause you bought the soda from a store😁😁👍
Creative! I'm going to go make mine now!
At 9:40 when you said 4 wheeler's are made for mud. I agree even though I have a dirtbike not a quad
A awesome family God bless
I heard Colby say six. He so shy cute. That was cool on the traps.
