      True true.. Egos exist in the combat realm. Lets be factual here jon jones wouls beat jai in a 5 round fight 10 out of 10. Jai stand up technique is better than jones.. But every other area jones beats him.. Doesnt take anything away from Jai. But jones dedictaes his lofe to fighting.. Jai dedicates his life to marital arts and acting. Jones is use to that environment.
      If they was doing touch sparring based on skill alone.. JAI cpuld make jones look stupid.. But actually connecting and fighting. Jones 10 out of 10 would hurt Jai.

    MJW's striking skills are exceptionally good, even when compared to professional fighters. That's a fact, and he has the credentials to prove it. He isn't claiming to be able to beat these fighters in the ring. You can be the most technically skilled person in the world and still get outperformed in actual competition. There's a difference between technique and fight IQ. Fight IQ is what allows a fighter to determine the correct technique to use given a situation.

MJW has actually taken part in competitive striking (long ago), but he's a skilled striker who still trains voraciously and occasionally spars with MMA fighters. He's not claiming he can hang with them...he's older, and he's not a ground fighter, but he is very knowledgable about striking. For crying out loud, if you listened attentively to what he's saying, he did admit there's no way he can grapple with Jones because he's just too strong.

      White is a martial artist in eight different styles: Shōtōkan, Goju-Ryu (for which he studied under Master Eddie Morales where he learned to sharpen his Goju karate technique), Taekwondo, Kobudō, Tang Soo Do, Wushu, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Kyokushin,with a specific focus in Kyokushin Karate (although his style incorporates aspects of many different martial arts forms). White started training in the martial arts at the age of seven in Jujutsu. He next took up Shōtōkan and moved on to other styles later.
      Hes probabaly in the top 5 fighter in the world an can literally obliterate anyone.

      @@ezekieljarek7705 You can be an actor and a martial artist. Have you ever seen Joe Rogan kick?
      MJW is "only" proficient in 8 different styles (7xblack belt) and has been training in Jiu-Jitsu since he was 7. That alone would mean he would choke out Bruce in under a minute haha.
      Creating a martial art does not make you the best at it either. There is also a reason why we have weight classes. If you don't agree, then you have never fought in your life, because he would utterly destroy Bruce Lee. MJW has almost 100 pounds on him lmao. You do realize how much that is? He has bigger bones, bigger hands, bigger feet, more strength.. . All of that matters.

      For anyone saying he's just an actor he has seven degrees of black belt in 8 diff martial Arts style of fighting.
      To have seven degrees of black belt is insane.
      Michael jai white whould destroy jon jones with using no hands an just his legs

      Michael Jai White isn’t just “people.” He holds 7 black belts and Jon is a former champion and possibly the best fighter in the world. There are techniques the two can learn from each other. It’s a light spar to test/trade techniques. They’re not fighting to the death.

      @KennyBucketz 3 года назад +1

      @@skip741x3 exactly; It was a short clip. If you don’t think MJW has good technique, you’re mistaken. His black belts and former competitions dispel that. Again, it’s a very light spar due to MJW being hurt. He knows Jon didn’t go hard, since he couldn’t go hard himself. You see one short clip and assume no techniques were shared in their meeting. Even Rogan says MJW is a legit black belt and has some of the best kicks he’s ever seen. Again, I’m not saying MJW can beat Jon. I’m saying MJW just isn’t some random dude off the street with no skills coming to spar with a great fighter. He’s a beast himself with 7 black belts, years of training, national competition experience/championships and taught martial arts as well. You do realize fighters learn from people who they can beat all the time. Most UFC fighters can beat their coaches in actual fights, but still learn techniques from them, and can still be tapped out by them while rolling, etc.
