This intro, out of ALL the Dynasty Warrior games, has stuck with me. No other Dynasty game has made me remember it the way this one has. I wish they would re-make this one exactly as it was, with upgraded graphics.
I remember that day when i visited a random shop and bought this game that i never had heard of. This is the game on my top 5 list that gave me the most memories through my childhood.

Haha! I remember in this game. In order to get easy life recovery without destroying the pots is that you got to kill off the bodyguards of an officer. Now, it's just you have to kill off an Elite Guard, a guard Captain, and a Gate Captain in order to get life recovery
I like this one since your not a invincible super hero here >.< unless you max all your stats which takes ages :P felt like your allied army actually did something too and it wasnt just you doing EVERYTHING...
I don't think they have to show all Kingdoms equally every time, but I think it's about time they do so again. Enough with Zhao Yun already! It would probably be asking too much, but how about seperate intros for all 3 kingdoms, with the opening just being bits of cinematics thrown together.
Okay, he isn't everywhere, but DW5, he was in the opening destroying an army single handed. And he did the same thing in DW6. Do something different next time, Koei!
hint on how to beat lu bu use a character that when you block and then attack does not send him flying do use Zhao yun don't use zhang fei you can but it will just take longer because you cant block and then hit because whenever you send him flying he regains some or all of his health also most of the time when he starts using defence or attack 2x he wont regain health again and I agree your to overpowered in the new games its cool if you like killing thousands of soldiers easily but I like it when it feels like a battlefield you vs one soldier when other soldiers are fighting around you so thematic and the reason it feels like your allies do more is because of morale I don't think the newer games have it that and your allies are worlthess I haven't played 7 or 8 but I have played 6 this games were my childhood I didn't have the games I played them on demo disks with a bunch of demos of games like ssx final fantasy but anyway when you do good and take a gate, kill 50 enemies, kill a officer you raise morale which makes your troops stronger and decrease the enemies morale which makes them weaker plus this is the quantity over quality with game mechanics in the newer games their are tons and tons of soldiers to fight but they all have like one normal and one charge attack but in dw2 they have 4 normal and 4 charge and overall were better at combat but their were less soldiers don't get me wrong the later battles are huge but still have less soldiers than the newer games
Dynasty Warriors is my favorite game series ever. But I might never have discovered it, if DW2 wasn't on the demo disc my PS2 came with. I know and have never known anyone in real life who likes it, and reviewers slam it, it's likely I'd have never played it.
lol, if u actually look into the ACTUAL history of the three kingdoms my boy, ZY did just as much as ZL and XD did. During the occupation of cheng du and the establishment of the shu dynasty, zhao yun was the leading force for the northern campaign against wei, lui bei went later. ZY never lost a battle against wei leading to the battle in tian shui where jiang wei joined shu. Look more into the actual history before u say. Ty
@TheCrusaderxx Don`t get Dynasty warriors 6 because they changed every charracter`s weapon and i hads only a few musou modes.Get warriors orochi because you can make Three character teams, weaopon fusions and every character can do special attacks(zhang fei has a good special attack).It is better than Dynasty warriors 6.

for the age,graphics are the best!Music still beats all the rest of them (especially of the intro) yet again on the new ones they just add a lot of lame weapons and a standard lvl of graphics. just disapointing !

DW1: never played it sorry.... DW2: it's better but still needs more improvement :) but I like it.. DW3: my first Dynasty Warriors game... I liked it very much it was perfect for me :D DW4: the graphics are getting better and there are more weapons... DW5: I Liked it too because they had endings for every characters.... oh and more characters... DW6: don't like it too much they changed the weapons and chars.. DW7: it was so cool and great! more and more characters, new weapons and great graphics
My favorite DW series is :Dynasty Warriors 3, i think it is the BEST dynasty warriors game, they didn't "overdo" with character, (there is no Magic Spells, element fight, "Awakening" or something like that) they still keep the battle historically accurate.
1:25 I hope they add Diao Chan's DW2 Outfit as DLC in DW7 I remember thinking it was so beautiful as a kid and when DW3 - DW7 came out I thought this one was better... and I still think so!

Xiahou dun History wise is in my top 5 but top 10 in terms of the game.Zhao Yun is only in the top 10 in terms of the game not history. LuBu is still the best but hay thats just me. We all have our top fav's and they all earned that right. each char has there good points and bad.

...you know, there's online classes. They can teach you things. Things like how to use punctuation and stuff. Just thought I'd tell you.

HE didint really do that that was jsut a novel made by Luo Guazhong to make him seem more special but that diidnt really happen at all
