I know this wasn't the ending we wanted. But the Racing was absolutely awesome and incredible. Everybody was a player in this race. The runs were awesome to see. What a great show. Can't wait for next year!

How y’all like it?
@@DrewHiRacingNASCARWinPOVs it's awesome I'm still trying to learn the how they do the points
Shane jizz burger would of won this race as well 😂
@@DrewHiRacingNASCARWinPOVs Really good racing, I can see that the strategy is completely different racing on the oval, and it makes sense now why the race is split into different sections, as it seems to be all about timing when to make your move, as I'm guessing that with the drafting its not possible to be up front for too long.
What a crazy race! Sucked it couldn’t get completed, would of been wild, but still fun, was at the race, great experience, met the King Richard Petty at the track randomly!
Are you sure it was the real king? There’s an identical that attends races which I’ve met before at Richmond
@@RakingNcash nah it was real, he had security and hoped out of his golf cart to get into the elevators for the clubs, wearing his owner fit

Serves nascar right for putting the race on Sunday night, that it gets rained out
So glad I was there!! What a great race from the start, just wish it could have went the distance. Such a unique brand of pack racing where it’s pretty much every man for himself
Why people gotta hate?
Did yall want turn 1 daytona again?
Byron fought his way from a lap down, he won fair and square.
Yeah the storm was bad too, at the race, it was pouring, lightning everything, would of been hrs
Seeing as how you modern fans enjoy wrecks instead of racing, yes, y'all should have been shrieking to have a catastrophic wreck in the rain
My mom got me and my big brother tickets to this race and it was awesome!! She even had a good time and got excited when #24 won!! I can't wait to go back!
Great race. Sucked it couldn’t finish though. And to anyone getting mad at NASCAR for not restarting the race, do you not remember what happened at Daytona last year? There’s no pleasing NASCAR fans, is there?
Was at the race, the storm was horrible, pouring rain, would of been hrs 😂
They could of started the race a hour earlier.
@@DaveGrindellnot with tv network deals. That would be breach of contract and not great for nascar.
I don't mind that they didn't restart the race. What I mind is 10 caution laps they ran waiting for rain to show up when they could have been green. .
@@Ethan-dn1wc we can’t have a shit show like Daytona last year and race right up to the rain it’s one or the other
The best race of this season.
Being there for my first time watching NASCAR in person was awesome
The announcers are easy to listen to, so clear. Hope to hear them again. I think if they mentioned the top ten now and then real quick they still wouldn't get behind on the front runners. I like these kind of races whereas if your driving well you can move up some and tighten the field. Hard to win races like this one . Thanks for showing this as I don't have cable. I got money but I'm a cheap skate.
You can thank NBC for being a miles better broadcast than FOX. It's honestly a pain to see the first 16 or so races these days just because of a broadcast who can't take a sport seriously anymore
The Stands Are Packed 💯
This is what was expected from Byron when he came out of Xfinity.
Good job Byron after going a lap down early with a blown right rear... pulling it out.
Thank you for sharing the race
Start races at 1:00
I live just a few miles from the track. It rained for several hours - no chance this was ever going to restart. Why was this race scheduled for a non-holiday weekend Sunday night?
Honestly minus the rain, best racing now
My boy Byron wins it! Yes!
This by far was an extremely exciting race and I know nascar had a tv start time but they knew bad weather was coming race should have time should have been moved up to 5:00.
Not just TV issues. Don't forget the ticket holders. Moving the race up by two hours would force a lot of fans to miss out.
@crscott9908 I have been to nearly 30 nascar races and most race fans are already at the track 8 to 10 hours before the green flag drops and we too have seen weather related shorten races and like yesterday the fans miss out on 90 laps of action.
Was at my first nascar race today at Atlanta was very good
Why are we running these races at night on Sunday
Night races are awesome

NASCAR rules
I hate that these cars don’t pull away from each other like the old cars
This is a plate race😮 nobody is pulling away from the pack!
Lemme guess: "The Late 90's Cars!" 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Old Atlanta actually required skill to drive and rewarded drivers who were great at managing worn tires; this configuration requires no talent to race on.

JJ Yelley top 10
Yeley is so underrated, I wish he'd stayed in open wheel.
What if another sport called their events at halftime. Would you feel ripped off?
Plenty of MLB games have been called 5 innings in due to weather, for a similar reason to racing. You need a dry surface. By the time it had stopped raining and the track dry it would have been 1am
Where do I buy the Quaker State 400 at Walmart?
Guess who ruins the race again! Rain, nascar gets screwed over by rain weekly and its annoying to have to see rain ruin the race.
It's called Geo-Engineering and it is purposely being done. The environmental nut cases can't stand Motorsports!
great racing, sucks that the rain gave a byron the biggest mickey win of the year
J.J. YELEY TOP 10!!!! LFG

I'm sorry Jr..But what I saw with the 7 and 24, The 7 never went up and hit the precious 24 car.I watched this replay 8 times and I never seen the 7 move up how they said on tv.They automatically blamed Lajoie right off the bat.Thats my opinion on that wreck
12 lap caution was nascar following the script
So do you want a repeat of 2022 Daytona Rain Crash on turn one?

Wonder how SVG would have finished😂
Glad I didn't watch live! Hate when races end like that.
Oh yeah 🎉
Having a caution when a stage ends makes this super artificial.
Yoooo, I cam get the whole race at Walmart? Damn, how much does it cost? Can I just get a handful of the cars? The turn 4 grandstands? Can I buy Brad Keselowski? :O Or do I have to buy in bulk?

I hate stages. Bring back the good old days.
Hi ,I new here. Is this called the fastest traffic in the world?
This is restrictor plate racing. At Daytona, Talladega and now Atlanta the cars have tapered spacers on the engines to reduce horsepower. Thus keeping speeds down. Safety being the reason. Higher the speeds, the more viscous and unsafe the wrecks are. Most importantly the easier it is for a car to go airborne. in 1987 the last unrestricted race happened at Talladega. They were in metal boxes weighting 3,400lbs averaging a lap speed of 210mph. The polesitter was 212mph. In that race a car blew a tire, turned around and flew into the fence. Luckily glancing off. Although still sending debris into the stands. No fatalities, minor injuries. After that they put on restrictors to keep them to around 190mph. Meaning the cars would all be the same speed, leading to the birth of pack racing. Which is essentially highway traffic at 200mph. These types of races happen 6 times a year.
8th career win William Byron

William Byron Is Awesome
Nascar and wet weather is terrible combo, you think you can pat yourselves in the back for this race, think again. I want races decided running the distance, this race could have started an hour earlier, but you wanted an evening race, well congrats, your wise decisions are appreciated!
NBC's broadcasting and broadcast team is just so much better than Fox! Wish they would've got to complete the race. Stage 2 racing was wild
The last time I watched NASCAR was the late 90s, is it normal for drivers' cars to look completely different each race? Hard to know who's who throughout the season, I thought Wallace was the McDonalds car.
It's normal. It's not like the 90's anymore where one dude uses the same sponsor every single year. You'll see many drivers with plenty of different sponsors over many races.
@@NrinaNutshell oh I see! So instead of saying McDonald's sticking to one driver, they'll bounce around drivers to maximize sponsorship money? That makes a lot more sense now thank you!
@@savvysteaks Pretty much. Also just for variation. Nobody wants to see the same scheme every week *Cough Cough Joey Logano* The way the comment is worded makes it sound sarcastic.
Watching Larson is like watching a replay from a racing game
Cool video 👍
To hear that the fastest lap was by Cindric at 184 mph.... 184 is too slow. It should be atleast 195, maybe more. 197.4 mph is the speed record, albeit from the first incarnation of this version of Atlanta back in 1997, but with the banking this track currently has, a 200mph lap should be entirely possible or very close to it. Not 184mph.
I love how everyone's gotta reference the 90's in their arguments. The cars are MEANT to be slowed down on Superspeedways. 200 MPH in these cars are too dangerous. The restrictor plate was implemented because of a 200+ MPH crash at Talladega.
@@NrinaNutshell The restrictor plate was an overreaction to a crash that should never of happened. It was a blown tyre and that had not happened before or since in that spot where a car was about to endanger the crowd.
Because we are supposed to be going forward. Indycar is advancing and getting faster after years of being stagnant, formula 1 is going backwards in terms of speed and NASCAR is also going backwards. The cars of even 10 years ago where we saw 210mph at Michigan, now those were awesome cars. You could see the rear of the car was on edge so often and only the best could keep them in check while going at crazy speeds. Now, they sound kinda eh and do not look as fast as they should be.
@@JackKeithley F1 is a terrible sport anyways. You have to have millions of dollars to run decent and the Governing body bends the rules in their favorite drivers favor.
I don't think it was an "Overreaction" to the incident. It decimated the car and destroyed a chunk of fence. If Kurt Bush gets a concussion from spinning into the wall at Pocono last year just from the rear hitting the wall, imagine what a crash of 200+ MPH into the wall at Daytona or Talladega can do. The cars are slowed for Safety. You just gotta deal with it.
Longneck Lagado is still racin?
Good croud on hand.
Please don't put all night races on Sunday anymore. Some people have to work on Mondays and for us Europeans, for whom NASCAR is running at stupid times anyway, it's hardly possible to watch these races.

In the rain? That doesn’t work.
@@parkerwalsh3340 just put some wet tires on
@@GriffWhiff those don’t work on banked ovals 💀
@@parkerwalsh3340 nah you could make some that work
@@GriffWhiff no. Basically the water wants to run down the banking, therefore the car would slide down the banking and either spin out or hydroplane into the wall. If the track was flat it would work, but not with banking.
Nascar isn't what it use to be I actually stopped watching 2 years ago just occasionally watch highlights
