- Today's reaction video is my first time hearing evanescence of the end of the dream, well, sort of. I listened to it for the first time and didn't press record apparently, so this is technically my second time listening to this banger. Evanescence as always is so good and impressive with Amy Lee’s incredible vocals and musicianship that I enjoyed in my past experiences with Call Me When You're Sober and Lithium. It’s so cool that you pointed out Amy’s lyrics not being depressing. She said in an interview that this song is about life and kind of looking at it from the finish line and sort of accepting your life as a whole. So live your life to the fullest kind of vibe here.
I wanted to take a moment and point out that because normally she gets classified as an emo kind of girl with a lot of prejudice. And in reality whoever reads into her lyrics will find her lyrics being kind of motivating. Like she kind of knows darkness and the rough badges life can throw at you but she always finds a way to stand up again and keep fighting through it. I love her lyrics because of it. They push you through it instead of drowning you in it, if that’s makes sense.
As other comments already said, you should check out how they perform nowadays this song. It’s a mixture between this version and Synthesis (2017) version. I got lucky enough to watch it live back in December in Madrid and I was blown away. What a song !
I really enjoy your Evanescence reactions! This is not the synthesis version so it’d be cool if you react to that one OR the live version they’re doing in 2023 when the mix both versions, so good live!!

There's an eaaaarrrrllllyyy Evanescence song called Understanding from their first EP in 1998. One of my favorite tracks of theirs.
She is so gooood
I highly, highly recommend the track "Broken Pieces Shine" from their 2021 album, The Bitter Truth. If you really want to add some punch to it, listen to the intro track "Artifact/The Turn" - it transitions into BPS (there is no official version on their YT, but there are a few great fan-made lyric videos that comp them together). It's probably one of their best in terms of mood, empowerment, and composition.
Hey!! This song has three versions, this is tbe 1st from the 2011 album. You should definitely take a look to "The End of the dream Synthesis live DVD".. AND THEN take a look to the mix version they started to play since 2021... "End of the dream live Novarock" or "End of the dream live Noblesville".... Worth watching!!!!!!!

You're reacting to the wrong one 😢 the best one is the End of The Dream 2022/2023 live version. It's a mixed between their Ev3 2011 version + 2017 synthesis version.
