Out of the burton brothers ward was always my #1 to root for, never knew why, i just liked his personality and his driving where as his brother jeff got on my nerves and I never wanted him to win. Ita cool to hear this interview from ward glad he is doing well.
Alan Dillard was a great Virginia short track driver on dirt in his own right. I remember well his Number 82 at Natural Bridge and occasionally Eastside (Waynesboro, VA). He usually ran the big lap races, like the 200's. Ward Burton, a guy every country boy can like.
woooooe whooooo ward.... #22 your 2002 Daytona 500 Champion... Elton Sawyer really had A.G.Dillards Buick cars worked out and hooked up before Ward got there...but Ward is a great driver and a heck of a nice guy as long (as your not competing against each other on anything)..lol.. glad he is living his life the way he is... very good man making a difference here in my home state of Virginia.. good luck for his son JEB this year.. I have a lot of trust he will do well in the ride he has this 2021 season..
I miss hearing his voice every weekend. Always had the impression he was a very intelligent guy with plenty of wisdom to impart. Seems like I was right.
Ward is- was my favorite driver. I quit watching when he quit. I do try and keep an eye on his son Jeb though. I use to say Go Ward! every time I saw 22.. Still do :)
I have tons of respect for Jeff, but Ward was my favorite of the two. Maybe cause he and i are alike in some ways. I love the outdoors...am a bit of a non conformist, same work ethic. He said in another interview he had no patience for laziness, i am the same.
I remember an interview with Jeff about Ward's speech patterns and why they sounded so different. Jeff said it was because Ward grew up in the southern part of the house. Always liked Ward better.
One of the most underrated /under appreciated Drivers & The likable Burton 🏁🏁🏁
My favorite Burton

These videos are great...documenting Nascar history and the personalities that made it.
You Can't Help But Like This Guy...He's a Southern Brother 👍🏽🏁
Only way I knew that was Ward was from hearing him.
Doesn’t even look like the Ward I remember. Man time flys.

Big Ward Burton fan, also Jeff!

Hope to meet nascar people one day
Ward Burton has cool southern accent 👌 😎
Why isn't this guy in the Nascar hall of fame now 💯👏👌👍⁉️
He only won 5 races in Cup series. He is no hall of famer.
Make him say caterpillar skid loader
Yes lol

@@tobydog247 I remember that interview very entertaining
Harrison looks more like Ward than Jeff and that's still a good thing!
And Jet looks more like Jeff ironically.
Jeff said ward grew up in the south end of their house 🤣🤣
An era when drivers were relatable to grown men
I never knew 😮😮
I hope you appreciate it Ward Burton my dad was mean to me.
Speed up the audio a bit, Ward sounds kinda like Boomhauer from King of the Hill (minus the dang ol every other word)
I never liked those Luminers
Nobody reading his lips
Easy chef
