He was my favorite driver for several years, and he's perhaps even more impressive being who he is now. What a nice, respectful, and respectable guy. I hope he never changes.
I've been following NASCAR since the 1960's when I was a teenager. Ward Burton and Jr are two of the folks I most appreciate. If Ward was getting after it, I'd be up and the edge of my chair. I just loved to watch him work a pack :-) Jr is a model for most sports. Talent, speed, injuries, and all (I bought the book) - you have seldom put your foot wrong. That's a model for lots of others.
It's nice to hear Ward Burton and be able to understand him...he used to have a very strong "accent" and I could not understand him. Seems like a really good, honest guy.
I have allways thought the world of Ward, even though I pulled for another driver, I knew he he was and is a really good man inside and out. Thank you for being you.
Over the last year and a half, watching these have been great. I remember seeing Kerry and Dale Jr race at Myrtle Beach as a kid. My one and only Cup race was the spring race at Darlington in 2000 - I remember it fondly, because it was the first time Dad let me drive the S-10, which was standard and I stalled out at the gas station in Marion parking. He said, "That's one way to do it."
Always loved Wurd Buh-dun's accent, and i'm from Georgia ! To those who say Dale Jr. can't drive...i watched him go into Turn 1 at Atlanta at 190+ mph in a 3,400 lb. car, and drift/hang the rear end up within inches of the fence...lap after lap. Hats off to that man.... I'm an old car/motorcycle racer and that was impressive !
I wish nascar would've never changed Bristol. It's basically if you're out front, you'll win. They should've NEVER changed Atlanta. That was the only true oval. So sick of these cookie cutter's.
Yeah, Bristol sucks to me because you cannot pass even with the multiple grooves really. Then you could pass if you used the bumper or knew the track better than the guy ahead of you.
The old Atlanta was cool. And it was fast. That was one of the tracks where it even looked fast on TV. Some tracks (I'm thinking Michigan), they're going 200 MPH and on TV it looks like a leisurely drive on the highway, but Atlanta always looked fast. So of course they had to ruin it.
@@ronfox5519 I wonder what the idea was, changing Atlanta into a clone of Charlotte. We already had Charlotte and Atlanta was unique. We didn't need another Charlotte. And then spending millions of dollars to "fix" a track that didn't need fixing.
Ward brings up a good point. I never thought about it before till he just said it. Not only did Junior have to carry on his own legacy, but he had to carry on for his Dad's fans too. Now that his Dad had passed so suddenly at Daytona, he now had to carry the load for his Dad's fans, and his Dad's personal life with Teressa. Man, that's a lot to ask for with someone trying to grieve over losing his father and then dealing with all that load with personal crap and fans. Never thought of that before watching this.

He's my most favorite driver. I love his whole personality.
I freaking love these shows!!! truth & honesty & respect!!!!
I think I've watched maybe a hand full of races since Dale Jr. retired. I do live the content he puts out and also respect the hell out of him. Keep the great content coming.
He’s right: Jr was going through absolute hell. DW carried jr through.
Ward always sounds like he's going to challenge someone to a duel
I be like "I ritual summon Relinquished! In attack mode"
Possibly the most wholesome driver ever
What Ward said the last minute was amazing! Such an incredible guy and driver. Wish him the best in the second half of his life.
Man I love Ward. What a great guy. He molded himself into a really great human being. He benefits lots of people, and is a great conservator of the land and natural resources.
I just loved to watch him work a pack :-)
Jr is a model for most sports. Talent, speed, injuries, and all (I bought the book) - you have seldom put your foot wrong. That's a model for lots of others.
Ward is one of my favorite drivers of all time. I always pulled for him. I wish nascar was still like it was in the 90s
I could listen to Ward Burton all dang day and never tire. Just a classy guy!
It's nice to hear Ward Burton and be able to understand him...he used to have a very strong "accent" and I could not understand him. Seems like a really good, honest guy.
Always loved seeing Ward do well, genuine guy. Wish we had more drivers like him nowadays.
Always thought Ward was a stand up guy. Watched him win at Darlington and that was pretty cool
Junior....love the way you embrace the old NASCAR and feature it on your programs. (And I still miss DMP :-))
I have allways thought the world of Ward, even though I pulled for another driver, I knew he he was and is a really good man inside and out. Thank you for being you.
If *Ward kept a snake* with at the track, he probably would’ve pulled it out of his car and *thrown that at Dale instead…* 😂
Ward, been and still a HUGE fan !!!
Don’t forget they completely ruined Texas
The old Atlanta was cool. And it was fast. That was one of the tracks where it even looked fast on TV. Some tracks (I'm thinking Michigan), they're going 200 MPH and on TV it looks like a leisurely drive on the highway, but Atlanta always looked fast. So of course they had to ruin it.
For quite awhile, atlanta was one of their best tracks.

I wonder what the idea was, changing Atlanta into a clone of Charlotte. We already had Charlotte and Atlanta was unique. We didn't need another Charlotte. And then spending millions of dollars to "fix" a track that didn't need fixing.
Good ol' Wad Button. Gotta love the guy! If you don't you're wrong :)
My favorite NASCAR quote of all time is Ward declaring that his "Cowor is pushin' like a damn dump truck".
My favorite was always "I was riding up there in the high groove, and the damnest thing about Darlington is there ain't no high groove."
To hear Jr. And Ward. That's fun! Great show! Of course!
Thank you for this!
Another absolutely awesome guest, thank you Dirty Mo media for bringing Ward back for a bit 👍😁
