My Dad flew for 42 years and many trip I had in the jump seat. And to this day, I'm ALWAYS impressed with the knbowledge and expertise anyone up front MUST have to pilot an aircraft. Great video.Northerly, West, and East are Alaska. South being Hawaii. Alaska has Islands that cross the date line making it the most Eastern state.
What a beautiful plane. These Air Canada pilots are great, so knowledgeable and also good at explaining things. The portly guy who lands at the end, i could see him enjoying a beer and a bratwurst upon arrival in Frankfurt. Good stuff.
Everyone loves a triple seven, so well built, so proportionate, so advance, so involving to pilot, and so reliable ( 99.3% reliability rate). The best aircraft in the world, and we must thank JustPlanes for doing this.
This is the first plane video I've seen where there are camera images in the cockpit. I've long wondered why all jet airliners didn't have this feature so you can check if the landing gear is down, if there is a problem with the engines, ice buildup on the wings, check for a fire somewhere, and so on.
Wow I never knew that the 777 had outside cams and never really knew what that thing next to the lower EFIS (mouse cursor) was for until now. Well u know what they say, u learn something new everyday, and not just in school either!
Alaska most north, eastern and western, Hawaii most southern. Those are the de facto answers. Alaska is both eastern and western for a similar reason as the data line. Hence why it it reminded the Captain of this trivia. Check the Aleutian Islands in Alaska they cross the east west 180 latitude. If you exclude Alaska and Hawaii then it''s North Minnesota, south Florida, east Maine, and west washington. Not as interesting though.
Hello, Great Video! I am 14 years old and have always inspired in becoming a pilot, I believe that it is the correct career pathway for me, I love everything about it! Can you give me any advice on becoming a pilot? Thanks!
Awesome vid! I have the AC 772 DVD already and I might get this one! It looks awesome :) and my answers to his question coming from a Canadian are: N:Alaska W:Alaska S:Hawaii E:Alaska (part of Alaska is on the other side of the dateline)
@rochen214 Depending on the country, some only allow what's called 'reverse-idle' which basically means the reversers are opened but no power is applied, hence idle. I suppose if the runway was long enough, and your taxi off point far enough down it then the pilot may not require reverse, just autobrakes.
I always wondered how pilots can line up the centerlines when taxinig. Is this camera function standard on heavy aircraft? Great video, and friendly pilots. 777 are impressive aircraft.
No, in fact it's been around even on the earliest B777's. Also now airlines are equipping there 777's with Electronic Flight Bag's (EFB's) so jeppesen charts become obsolete.
the air canada capt...sounds just like one of my college professor...im not being funny but his voice is calm and soothing...kinda like that painter dude with the afro...robert ross or something...i forget his name...
I took air new zealand 772, when landed at Beijing China or came back to Auckland, I didn't here the reverser, even my seat was at wing area, is that because 772's reverser is designed very quiet? or the reverser didn't even open? Most controled by brake?
what the capt was doing in the beginning with the computer...is that new? like is that how they do they're checklists now and other stuff? ive never seen that before.
What a beauty this bird is...
So modern and clean-looking (with a quality airline and airline alliance, too!)

REALLY AWESOME! Such freindly pilots, also look like very good ones as well. I would love to do this job someday :)
What a landing so soft and a wonderful approach!
I love these videos! I wish they would use more airlines.
I always enjoy the videos with Air Canada. Every one of them is great.
By far my fav plane! you don't really know how big it is until you stand beside it from the outside! but then again, that's like all jets =)
what an exceptional aircraft. i've been waiting for a video on the 777-300ER. thanks for the upload.

This Capt.is one of the best at A/C...I know someone who knows him that worked at A/C...If you had a problem you want him taking care of it...

Alaska is being the most Northern, Western and Eastern State with Hawaii being the most Southern.
Brilliant Vid, just been on one of these myself.
Very nice, I think I will be making a trip down to Aviation world and buying this one.

As always an awesome video, please keep them coming!
Air Canada pilots have been asking that "trivia" question for decades....Best generation of pilots is this one here.
GREAT video

Thanks very much Miguel, very kind of you and glad you enjoy our stuff :)
With u on that awesome job guys don't stop
:) Will do out best!
Cool video. I was just on AC872 shown near the end. Probably not the same flight but interesting any ways.
Awesome vid! I have the AC 772 DVD already and I might get this one! It looks awesome :) and my answers to his question coming from a Canadian are:
N:Alaska
W:Alaska
S:Hawaii
E:Alaska (part of Alaska is on the other side of the dateline)
@royalityskies True, Iove the pss 777 representation tho', fairly accurate and not too difficult for flightsim freshers
@rochen214

Great video, and friendly pilots. 777 are impressive aircraft.
also the 777 is necessary for specific routes that have high volume of passengers traveling because its larger than a 787
Nice video
oh this is so freaking cool VREF 143 holy crap
Nice!
I didn't realize that the 777 deck housed a yoke instead of the newer joystick for flight control!
Great Video Just planes. How much is the full version? I am interested.
Thank you. All newer programs are $30 and you'll find many older ones for $15... check our www.justplanes.com website...
***** Will do,Thank you very much.
how much is the the toronto- hong kong 777 polar ops my favorite
No, in fact it's been around even on the earliest B777's. Also now airlines are equipping there 777's with Electronic Flight Bag's (EFB's) so jeppesen charts become obsolete.
very nice
5:50 LOL they have been asking that question to visitors in the FD at AC for decades
@royalityskies There soon will be! PMDG are planning on releasing one soon!
We flew with Air Canada Sydney to Vancouver nonstop and return smooth as and very pleasant attendants
what a modern aircraft!!
@royalityskies your probs aware that pmdg are making one soon.. 2011 :)
the air canada capt...sounds just like one of my college professor...im not being funny but his voice is calm and soothing...kinda like that painter dude with the afro...robert ross or something...i forget his name...
very interesting

Re pilot's quiz question - is that a trick question? Is Alaska both the most easterly and westerly because it straddles the date line?
the Triple 7 is my favorite airplane
Sweet !!!!
sick i am ordering this now
@royalityskies There exists the B777 of Wilco, but of course it's not so realistic like the aeroplanes of PMDG of course!
Only the -300er has cameras for taxing because of it length. The -200lr doesn't
what the capt was doing in the beginning with the computer...is that new? like is that how they do they're checklists now and other stuff? ive never seen that before.
in the last part of the video when they landed they didn't do ILS approach
Alaska isn't the most easterly state because the date line goes around the us
they're in Japan?
Actualy, the 787 are to replace the 767-300ERs... not the 77W
i love b777 :)
@royalityskies hey PMDG IS WORKING ON A 777 AND OTHER PLANES 2
It's a bit confusing-what are the legs they flew on this route?
@JustPlanes no almost every modern plane has it even a380
at 6:35 --- the speed thing, its it knots/kph or mph and whos the captain speaking to at 9:17
He didn't give the trivia question answer
@999lifegoes I think Puerto Rico and the Mariana Islands are not among the 50 states
