I don't know if anyone will see this but....We just had installed a Paramount UltraUV2 system. Due to the air of our pool and its systems, we also had installed a new Pentair variable speed (3 stage) pump and new DE filtration system as well. When the slowest stage of our Pentair pump is on (I'll call it Stage 3), the UltraUV is NOT on. It kicks on for Stage 1 (the fastest stage) and for Stage 2 (the middle stage+ but not when the pump goes down to Stage 3 (the slowest stage) What is going on? Is this normal? If it's not, what do we need to do to get it to run when the Pentair is on the slowest stage? Thank you in advance for your help us on this. It is greatly appreciated.
On our Ultra UV system, we have the same type of issue. Some research online indicated that the low pressure or RPM of the pump doesn't provide enough pressure to make the UV system power up.
I know you posted this a while ago. But yes you have to have enough flow for the light of the UV to kick on. We have a Hayward variable speed pump and it can not run below 55% or the I will not have enough flow.
