Albuquerque is a fairly large city so like any big city crime is definitely here but so overplayed by the media. I'm originally from Las Angeles but have lived here for 25 years and have never had a problem.
The homeless population is growing at such a rapid rate but I love it because they are so diverse as a community. I love when I’m having coffee in the morning watching friends of the neighborhood 💩 on the sidewalk totally nude. It’s so free here I love it! Oh and the fentanyl use is 2nd to none. 5 stars all the way.
You can't ignore the high poverty rate in NM. The crime rate in Albuquerque is also more than DOUBLE the national average for violent crimes and property crimes.
Yes, you can and should ignore it, since the poverty rate is skewed by a specific demographic group who by tradition prefer to be broke and impoverished. The crime rate, unfortunately, has been a constant for many, many years.
@@dukeford In your opinion, is the crime rate perpetuated by a specific demographic as well? Is it possible that our crime rate is culturally acceptable?
Not exactly safe, gotta b aware of your surroundings for sure. Food is great, lots to see; sandia Mts, Tent Rocks, Cochiti Lake, affordable I guess, could b worse. Jobs r available
@@AllAboutABQ Lived there most of my life and have family there. The crime rate in Albuquerque is 75.6% higher than the state average and 170.9% higher than the national average.
35 years old now. Born and raised in abq. Moved to Austin for about 2+ years and recently moved back. Loving it all over again. I think in the next 2-3 years there are gonna be some good things going on in abq.
Skip you look tired . Time for vacation my friend. Thanks for all your help with our new home were getting there. We love Albuquerque so much to do and see.❤❤
laid off of my remote job and can't find a career job here in ABQ. Most people who get the good jobs keep it unitl they retire. Unlike most cities where people move around a lot. People tend to stick around in the same job, i can't blame them, the city is pretty stagnant in growth and barely any developments. The only pros is it keeps the freeways clear and gas prices down. I moved here from Phoenix and of course the weather. Good luck trying to find a "good" job. I am an engineer by the way. When a job opens up its a war to get it as compared to phoenix.
My experience in ABQ has been that New Mexicans have a heart of gold, treat people right and you'll have a friend for life.... cross people in the wrong way (many folks here are armed) and you will pay the price. Don't get careless. No road rage or rudeness. Be joyful and ABQ will rejoice with you!
skip my ? for u is where do u live there in the albuquerque etc... area and whats your favorite places to live. u always make great suggestions on where to live but, ive never heard an opinion or your spin on this topic. thx as always for your information. patrick.
i there long time ago and loved the weather. . also for what ever its worth. at least currrently, my nephew is the staring second baseman for the colorado rockies. brendan rodgers. he has been hurt alot in his young career and won a gold glove at that position last year. ill research the heights.
Frito pies are served at picnics too. I wouldn’t recommend downtown cause of shootings. The breweries are cozy. Beer lab and bombs away have become favorites along with Nexus cause they have gumbo and all those places allow dogs.
Albuquerque is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow if you invest properly you'll make a great return on your investment invest in Albuquerque now real estate is good
