My story is so similar! We began for the same reasons (202) and my kids are same ages (4th and 8th), and we appreciate the ease and comfort of homeschooling.
I love your choices (maybe bc I plan to do almost the exact same combo for my kids in 2nd)! We decided to switch from BYL to LoL so we’ll see how that goes…but we will also be using Wroters Workshop, MWC, Beowulf (debating their entire ELA over 2 years since they also just switched to wood roots), and CTC! Can’t wait to see how your year goes!!

Yeah I think we are going to take 2 years just for Beowulf Grammar. It seems really comprehensive and will cover everything.
