I purchased a packet from TPT that has multiple novel activities. I think it's really well thought out, the activities vary enough for one to appeal to different learning style of students, and it isn't overwhelming for the teacher/student (unless they want to be overwhelmed which is my son when it comes to any type of schooling). I actually didn't love that Norse Myths book (the writing felt a bit stilted or something), but the other books in that series are fabulous! We particulary loved Egyptian Myths and Goddesses and Heroines.

Fun video!! I always need more books!!! 🤪 You HAVE to check out the podcast Greeking Out!! My 3 boys became obsessed with Greek mythology after listening to those!! They are so fun!!! The Du’alaires book of Greek myths is also great!!

You should look at Mary Pope Osborne’s The Odyssey part 1 and 2 for Greek Mythology for a possible read aloud. Mythology sounds very fun!

I found an abridged christmas carol at the little free library so reading a chapter everyday and then tryin to watch one of our favorite christmas movies everyday.

We love Denison Math. My 10th grader is now on the Geometry level and there is no looking back 😊

We have an elf that doesn’t get in much mischief either because this mama doesn’t want to clean that up 😂

We have similarly-looking countertops and I really dislike them. It can be so hard to really see how clean they are. You have such a comfortable & cozy-looking home. <3

Blossom & Root language arts levels 4 and 5 each include three poet studies per year. They are part of the language arts guide as opposed to a separate guide like Art and Music.

For BYL level 7, are you doing it as written or adding any science supplements?

I'm curious how long a typical day of BYL takes you to complete? Are you combining multiple days together?

I had the same thoughts about Fate Inked in Blood. I really wanted to love it but I was just kind of hmm. Ok then. 😕

I rate my books too high as well. Like…this is a 3 star book but the author gave it a good shot so here’s an extra 4th star. 😂

I think this was an editing issue coupled with a writing style where Sanderson could have been pushed to tighten up his language. It makes it feel like it drags a bit and I was left always thinking "if I just make it one more page, something will get traction and the book will take off." This is a writing style issue where the story idea is neat but the writer is in slow burn mode and some readers want to get on with it already! I dont read slow burns well. I end up skimming and missing stuff and the DNFing. Maybe put book 2 on audio at double speed 😂

I struggle with dense fantasy books too. I want to get sucked into a world that I keep wanting to return to, but they just rarely pull me in. I live the series love vicariously through booktubers 😂
