    Also, if you eat veggies before sugar it will help even out your blood sugar levels.

      What about veggies/ carbs with a higher sugar content like sweet potatoes, carrots, beetroots, etc, should we be worried about the sugar content and impact on blood sugar balance? Genuine qs and wan to learn x

      ​@orang1414 Usually the fibre content in the vegetables slow down the digestion of the sugars meaning you won't get that big blood glucose spike. Just be careful blending or mashing them as this can break down the fibre meaning the glucose will be more easily absorbed, but the level of sugar in vegetables is really not worth worrying about! But as a whole any kind of vegetable won't give you a big glucose spike

    My hack is that I have a chocolate chip cookie in the morning to go with my coffee to offset the bitterness, it helps my sweet tooth and I don’t think about sweets for the rest of the day, I’ve also stated eating those “Tiffany plates” now I eat so much vegetable and fruits and lean proteins everyday.

    This is actually really good. If you tell yourself that sugar is outright bad instead of useing as a reward, it can cause you to feel worse about yourself when you do eat it. Or make you feel depressed because all you are eating is straight vegetables without a little treat.
    Both mind sets are bad. This ladie understands balance, and it fricking Awesome!

    Loving these, so helpful. I was wanting those cranberry bliss bars from Starbucks, and I can’t have them, so I got the ingredients to make a version I can have at home, but I put the dried cranberries and Lily’s white Chocolate in some vanilla Greek yogurt with chia seeds, and it makes an amazing breakfast. Like, last night I made chili honey butter roasted Brussels sprouts, and it made it impossible not to want to eat a ton of Brussels sprouts…I feel like that black and white thinking has people eating flavorless, sad steamed vegetables with barely seasoned chicken breast, instead of cooking it and and adding things like honey and butter and spices to make those healthy ingredients taste amazing.

    My "out of the box" thinking is hoping to get other foods from your fridge behind you.
    I don't like bell peppers and moreover they are nightshade fruits.
    Chocolates can be too addictive. Those with hazelnuts are more tempting than plain ones.

    As a person with healthy relationship with food 🌸now , you can pattern off me if you need it :)
    I’d pick some of the peppers bc who is honestly gonna eat all that pepper 😅 (maybe in a salad? Or pasta? Or beside steak most likely bc god I need protein lol)
    And I would pick maybe like half that amount of chocolate but it’s gotta be the good shit where I really like taste all the flavor and savor. Do not “hork it down”
    That’s what I’d do now :) I came from those cabbage soup ONLY diets that Paris Hilton was endorsing 🙄 god. And I’m even skinnier and more toned than I was when I was a teen lol and I’m eating TONS more to a point where I’m tired of eating and cooking and I just don’t wanna eat anymore and just have a protein shake (that is my problem of this era lol) sorry if this comment is scrambled.     The first one has to be wrong- pepper is 26 calories per 100g, meaning one pepper is at least 50 calories. Usually they weigh more like 300g. Those surely aren’t less than 100g each at least!

    It's one thing to know that too much of sugar isn't good for the human body.
    But I'd still prefer less chocolate instead of more pepper.
    Maybe the craving for it will lessen, but it's a lifelong addition.
