I would also recommend claw caps and a self-scooping litter box. Along with dry shampoo dander baths, those really help my life with my kitty.

  • @cattitude7809

I am so happy not to have any allergies!! I would totally have to get shots or meds if I did because I couldn't imagine living without cats in my life. My heart goes out to anyone that has to go through anything like that😸😸😸😸

  • @MrCaiobrz

Thankyou for covering this topic, you created such greatly researched and complete content so fast after I requested it! Kuddos. I did literally everything you mentioned in the video and after 2 months of changes I am symptom free even though I will complete the immunotherapy to be sure. I also found out I am highly allergic (as expected) to dust mites, so keeping the house clean and changing to easier-to-clean furniture had a double positive effect.

I'm glad I'm not allergic to my cat 😺.

  • @pmbluemoon

I am allergic to my cat, but I love him anyways. I'm on antihistamines, nose spray, eye drops and I still have flare ups now that he's getting older. I've had him for 18 years already! =^..^=

When I had cats I vacuumed the entire house every day. They slept with me if they wanted to. They cured many a migraine by purring by my head. I had horrible allergies and was on an inhaler but I loved them so much. When the last one died in 2013 - no more cats. I miss that companionship . But cannot afford them anymore.

I had a cat once, everytime it would sleep with me, I felt like there was needles all over my skin poking me at night, I gave that cat to my neighbor and the only memory I have of the cat is this profile picture. I kind of miss the cat it would always keep me awake all night purrin.

  • @LittleKitty22

I'm allergic to cats. I suffer hives and rashes more than sneezing or watery eyes. When my Felix was still alive, I took antihistamines and I bathed him once a week (with cat shampoo or a good baby soap). I brushed his fur every day, I brushed his teeth, and I changed our bedding once a week. I was perfectly fine that way. After he sadly crossed over to the spirit world (he didn't survive an encounter with our stalker!), I stopped taking the antihistamines. I now find that, when I'm near cats, it does affect me - saying that though, most cats don't get bathed regularly.

  • @SamH73973

This is good info! Im allergic to cats and dogs. Mine are long haird cats and dogs. When they scrach me and get in my face. My allergies arent as bad when i was a kid.

  • @wadp5962

When I was young I discovered I was allergic to cats (I had 1 at the time.), along with dust, pollen, fresh cut grass and a few other things. The allergist said my allergy was not bad enough to get rid of the cat and advised the same things as you have. Today I have 5 cats with whom I sleep with (strictly platonic), cuddle with, pet, kiss and play with. I wash my hands frequently, shower daily and don’t have rugs.

  • @GrannyLinn

I developed an allergy to mine, took shots for it. Not giving up my kitties!

  • @susanlynn316

I went to an allergist and received allergy shots so I could have my cats and work as a vet tech at an only cat vet clinic. Find a good allergist that is willing to work with you and not tell you to get rid of your cat.

  • @benkavoossi

Me and my dad are very allergic to cats and we have the most shedding cat ever. Every time I pet her my shirt is completely covered in fur.

  • @sandyaw3057

I wonder if that new cat food works that is supposed to help lower allergens for people.

  • @thebob5568

been allergic to my cats for years, but I just deal with it

  • @maevblog9955

I've a question: are cats very susceptible to diseases? Cuz I've heard much about cats who died on a young age due to diseases

  • @lauraadacerri1311

È tutto vero e giusto,ma penso che non si debba fare subire al proprio gatto qualsiasi tipo di restrizioni..
