The 2022 Audi S3 Is A Seriously Quick Pint-Sized AWD Sports Sedan

  • The #AudiS3 has been around in the US since 2015 and for 2022, the latest #S3 now moves to the next-generation powertrain out of the newest Volkswagen Golf R. The #Audi version has always been the more sophisticated option and because the #AudiA3 and S3 have been fully redesigned this year, the latest version feels even more like a baby A4/S4, especially on the technology front. The S3 will also smoke a few sports car at a stop light with its effective launch control, DSG transmission, and #Quattro AWD.

We clocked a 0-60 sprint in just 4.3 seconds… that’s right, this car is only about a half second slower versus the previous generation Audi RS3. We’ll be curious to see how the new one drives, but Audi has really significantly improved the latest S3. It’s a seriously quick, nimble in corners, and attractive all-around. The upcoming Acura Integra will have to deal with this excellent car when it comes out later this year.

Really hard to justify the S3 when the mk8 Golf R is 10k less and comes with AWD system out of the RS3, ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, and of course the option if you want a manual. I'm trying to figure out what to trade my 2018 S4 Prestige in for, and if only this S3 had ventilated seats and heated steering wheel, i could forgive it for not having the better AWD system. So close to perfection.
