In USA I think the next level up (electric) to do those speeds will be from Zero. I think the lowest level they offer is the FX which will get you on the road for as little as $8,500 plus fees. If you are open to a gasoline bike, CSC currently has two freeway capable bikes under $2500.
I agree with above. Zero seems to next step. I've been doing some research. The better electric mopeds (ie. Gogoro, Fonz) don't ship to the USA, to my knowledge. There is the Gen 7 monday motorcycle that goes to 45mph....but it's 4.5K$. Would love additional input some others!
I had this bike for about a month and 300 miles. Always fun to ride and even had it up to 54 mph Sadly it was stolen from my apartment carport where the boat chain was cut and my City Slicker gone.
I’m interested, but I live in a very hilly area. I own and drive a Leaf and know that all the hills drain the battery a bit faster than flat land driving. I wonder how much of a drain would constant hill riding do to the City Slicker.
@@evthink correct. i bought for 73k in 2018 March. still going strong. now it feels so painful to ride a petrol bike that we sense why should we pay for transport?
Please can somebody tell me the specification on the battery? I've been searching everywhere can't seem to get any information on the battery specs whatsoever.
do you run into any issues with parking with these small scooters if you park them on the sidewalk or issues with meter maids? aka cambridge, alston, boston, whats your exprience?
I wonder if you could hot rod or tune this little bike for an extra 500 to 1000 dllrs to get it up to freeway speeds. 36 mph is to slow on basic roads not to mention a highway.
I couldn't quite tell. Lithium or lead? I agree it's a lot of fun for $2500. Do you know of anything just a little less boy-racer and more "rough road and soft trail" design?
I’m very new to motorcycles in general. So this is a stupid question but I do accept roasts. Anyways, do you need a motorcycle license and insurance for csc city slicker?
looks small, what about someone who is 6'1"? Is it comfortable for taller riders? or are there fast e-bikes more comfortable for taller riders out there?
Howdy, i have a 2021 city slicker and i bought it used, The seller sold it to me under false pretenses, and didn't mention that the battery has damaged cells. I can't find any shops to help me or get in touch with the csc guys. My range is severely diminished. Would you be willing to help me with some ideas and information please? My charger is also damaged. Do you know the exact kind of battery and the name for it and also the exact name for the charger? Is there any way to charge the battery with anything other than the zongshen charger? I can't find replacements anywhere, i have no idea about alternatives and all the parts are out of stock on csc's website as well. As far as the battery goes: I know that is has the power cable inlet and the Anderson cable inlet. What is the round cable with the 9 prongs that goes in the inlet up top called? What kind of maintenance have you had to do on yours? My brakes are screeching terribly. Anyway I hope that you are well, and thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you are willing and able to help me, but either way sending all my best wishes. Cheers
I really want a electric motorcycle, but im a big dude...6'2 260 on a good day. I really dont want anything crazy just something to get to work, 10mi round trip max speed 40. I feel like I'm too big for this, but for the price, that's where im at. I dont know of this or the venom e vader. Anyone else have any suggestions?
Do the new bike have the updated controller? Are is that something you do? I guess what I'm asking is if I buy one of these how do I get your update for the controller? thanks Emery
Great price but too slow for me at 46 mph (73.6km/h). I need 90km/h (73.6 mph) to keep up with the traffic that obeys the speed limit here. Google tells me the City Slicker is the only electric bike CSC currently makes.
@@routybouty I mean it won't suit me because it won't do 90 km/h, a speed limit I encounter on a route I frequently travel. I realise it is unfair to expect it to do that for the asking price but I had hoped other similar but faster bikes might have been available from the same manufacturer for which I am prepared to pay the higher price such a vehicle would command. Sadly not currently an option. The road of which I write is one of only two possible routes to my girl friends place, the other has a 100 km/h speed limit. Looks like I'll just have to stick with my Tesla.
@@dogphlap6749 there's the Lightning Strike eBike, available now, which has a top speed of 150 mph and a range of 150 miles, for a very reasonable $13,000. Four times the price, four times the speed and range.

Why not review the stock model that I would get if I actually bought one? No one else has reviewed one, and yours seems like an unfair review because it's been upgraded...
