Great vid! I remember watching Blane's earlier videos "Power is nothing without control". That video really inspired me. Still does. Every country needs a Blane teaching the future generations of practitioners. Great, simple and effective approach to training. Respect!
He is. I had the chance to train and learn from him on Saturday, along with Stephane Vigroux. The experience, was not only extremely valuable, but it really was very humbling. I feel like it was life changing, and I know what I'm going to do when I get older. No excuses, I will teach parkour.
I must admit that I stopped training Parkour, college is quite hard and I decided to concentrate on my main sport which I did since my childhood: Judo. But what I'll never forget is the "philosophy" of Parkour and Blane will always stay an inspirational person for me. I still do a lot of physical exercice and when I have some time I will do some light training again. It's always difficult to resist when I see a nice spot ^^
I really appreciate these videos. I think Chris seems to have a very sensible approach to his parkour, and it sounds like it will serve him well throughout his life. Thanks for sharing this!
ive been training like 3 years and im now 17 the age he started at and i feel warn down big time especially today, great video started off because of pk gen, so im going to listen some more i want to freerun forever.
pure inspiration and a legend, parkour/freerunning aswell as many other things in life are more mental than physical (although parkour/freerunning are the best sports out there :P) just believe in your ability and don't let fear prevent you from doin a trick
Nice job, i take your ways as traning i've been training for month so i'm new but now now the doctor told me stop because when i was doing a precision jump i failed and it caused bad injuries to my uncle.
That's bad, but no reason to stop. You should see it as a reminder that Parkour CAN be dangerous if you make mistakes, but it can also be very safe if you listen to your body and don't force yourself to do anything. I broke a leg about a month after I started practising, but had no major injuries in the following three years. And I don't plan on breaking something else ever again.
It's been two years and my ankle still hurts :/ it happened when I was learning front handsprings. I don't know how I landed on the side if my foot. It just cracked broke both bones and went through the growth plate. I guess if I start again I won't be doing Any free running.
If you are new to parkour NEVER start with jumping if walls I did that progressed too fast and chronically injured myself but I'm healed now thank The Lord
hey I'm 35 live in Barcelona, injured my ankle 2moths ago(never done parkour before) but it's better now, I want to learn but here there's not help on parkour training at all, do you do courses or something?? I will travel thankx
flow, I love your videos. Only one hint of constructive critcism: please turn down the music a bit when the guy is speaking. I had a hard time to understand what he was saying sometimes. thank you :)
Maybe I'm just bad at concentrating today, but for me personally the music was a bit too loud in comparison to the voices. Found it somewhat difficult to understand him properly without really focussing and trying to cancel out the music. The sections where he was being interviewed in front of the camera (e.g. 3:40) were worse in regards to that than the section where he explained what he was focussing on in his training outside that day (e.g. 3:00).
He actually has a long term girlfriend and there's definitely a child in there somewhere, I don't stalk the guy so I'm not sure of all the details. And the 'lame acrobatics' are his job. He gets paid to do something he loves.
really support the idea of training for longevity and caring for your body, but this guy just doesnt seem to be having fun in his training to me, surely that should also play a part, every tme you train you shouldnt have a set exercise list and repetitions you feel you ought to do
8 years later and I still come back to this trilogy, great insight from Blane as always!

Blane keeps on going past his limit. Amazing
blane's moves just clean as always
Blane is allways an inspiration!
Loving the quality parkour, mobility, prehab/rehab stuff. Now you just need to put up some stuff about nutrition and we're all set :)

Four and a half years and I'm doing alright. It takes me a whole to warm up, that's all. No serious injuries here either. I plan to keep it that way.
Thank you for this video, Blane is such an inspiration!

Thank you so much for this vid, it helps to keep things in perspective.
That was truly amazing!!!
Strengthen and mobilise them! Stability drills, balance training, calf raises, all sorts you can do ;)

Not sure about you guys.. but I'm more interested in the cat! How handsome!!! :P
On a scale of 1-10 how good are the shoes you use in this video with grip, breathable etc?
i wanna train like that!
What about any further videos of Blane?
Cool! i'm sure it has been mentioned before, but you should consider lowering the volume of the music. It was kind of hard to here him speak.
You should seriously look into getting on American ninja warrior I have faith that you can finish the course

Hi! If i have simular videos like James Kingstone. How should I be seen on the internet? And be known?
Love from Sweden
that is a perfect where to train

hey man i got really bad ankles any advice??? it makes things difficult to train for pk
flow,
I love your videos.
Only one hint of constructive critcism: please turn down the music a bit when the guy is speaking. I had a hard time to understand what he was saying sometimes.
thank you :)
agreed. Post-prod guy/s need to make the music quieter/the voice louder/both.
wait for it
Solid
what shoes???
this is all true, if you do what he said, you will better at any sport.
Blane for king
I wanna train with you man :)
Get used to walking along rails, then running along rails. Make the rails your friend and then sticking a jump on them will be piss easy :P
He does enjoy training, trust me =)

Turn your monitor off and listen again carefully to Blane's words. You will last long like us
check out your local group "born to trace" they are very skilled
The video is awesome, but sometimes it's a bit hard to hear what he's saying. Subtitles maybe?
Ivan, hi
We run regulalr seminars, classes and courses all over the world every week. See our website for details.
I broke a leg and a collarbone in one year :(
what is worse than 240p?
My life was a whole lie!
He actually has a long term girlfriend and there's definitely a child in there somewhere, I don't stalk the guy so I'm not sure of all the details. And the 'lame acrobatics' are his job. He gets paid to do something he loves.
:DDD
Being paid to do so, whilst travelling the world as well. So terrible.
