Dont know about you but i think 66 cc is to much. I have a 49 cc and my frame started cracking from the vibrations of the engine. That was some old bike byt still, i checked it before i mounted the engine and couldn see anything wrong with it then . I think its best to put it on a thicker frame and not just an old woman/man bike from the 80:s
I weight in at 230 pounds and my 66cc 2 stroke still pushes me at 30 miles an hour. If anyone is looking for some cheap-kicks, a motorized bike is the way to go my friends.
In your carb you have that needle that goes into your main jet right, take off your throttle cable and pull out the needle, you will notice the several notches at the top where that "c" clip is. Your engine sounds like it is running a bit too rich, try moving that c clip up a notch. Should get ya some more speed, or at least get you there a little quicker.
I just ordered one, just a heads up, people should order the 56 tooth chain sprocket, you get less pickup but a way better speed boost, about 20-30km/h
how fast was this ? I am building my own right now with a super light bicycle and a smaller rear sprocket which has around 33 teeth instead of the stock 44-tooth sprocket
You probably didn't put it together very well or the whole thing is just fucked because you bought a piece of shit. If it sounds like it just doesn't want to go at all that means it probably going to be a electrical problem, or if it sounds like it wants to go its probably going to be fuel related.
just put the choke on and keep pedaling with the clutch on and give it gas after turning it over for like 6 seconds and it should start to go on its own power but if that doesn't work then its probably because the wiring isn't connected properly
KravaLLT well, actually dude, i got it running with half choke on down a very steep and long hill....so if you dont want one, then dont get one....but they are a LOT of fun :D
Question here: Is this your first motorized two-wheeled vehicle? If not, what else do you ride or have ridden? If so,Has it made you want a motorcycle or dirtbike?
tengo una 80 cc con corona de 40 dientes y llanta trasera doble pared y rayos reforzados y una 48 convencional , si no sueltas el manubrio en el empedrado no eres el mas rasta jaajajajaj que orquilla tienes? saludos anda muy bien
I now know why my engine cuts off, because my bicycle frame is a bit tight for the carburetor to sit up vertically from the throttle cable, so I had to tilt it about 45 degree to clear the upper frame of my bicycle. By doing that I think the floating plastic doughnut inside the carburetor closed the gas valve not allowing adequate gas into the cylinder chamber for combustion. If the carburetor bottom is filled with too much liquid gasoline, that may not allow enough gas into the chamber.
if you don't get caught it`s all legal, but if you go by the letter of the law, in most states 50cc and up you need to license it, you may also need to have a drivers license , no matter what size engine you use, it`s not a toy and not for children.
I have one there pretty worth while . Don't get one from King motor bikes though the first week mine from there seized and is done get them from amazon 80cc is the best one to get
Honestly dude, just build your own. That way you know what quality you are getting. Engine kits can be had on eBay from $80 for the 50cc motor to $130 for the 66/80cc (this is low sides of ebay, they can obviously go for much more because people think they're crap is worth gold), you can use a cheap Walmart bike for $80 (or used off craiglist) and be done at $160=$250 going the cheap bike route, or you can go top-of-the-line bikes for $600+ if you want to. You can also add a BRP shiftkit and go upwards of 60mph if you want to throw another $200 into the bike. Unless you have a specialty case bike (thick frame tubes), your bike can be motorized in less than 2 hours I want to say (I haven't done it, but it looks very straight forward).
U can find then at amazon or at bikeberry.com it's cheaper if u build it yourself I paid 160 for the kit and I already had a bike I had no experience putting on the kit it's pretty basic everything pretty much bolts on it took me 3 hours
If you get a cheap one of these engine kits- take apart the engine first because sometimes theres chiselings or debris from casting inside that can fuck ur engine
hi, you have problems letting your clutch out? i do , you let it out to start the engine then the bike literally slows right down and doesnt start? does it all the time am i letting it out early or what?
Get the right speed first, and if the motor is spinning, do you hear running sounds, or do you get nothing? If you get nothing, take out the spark plug and prop up the back wheel so you can spin it without it moving, than touch the spark plug to the engine body and pedal the bike with your hands to spin the motor. If you see no spark, replace it. If you do see a spark, check the carburetor and exhaust.
Mitchell Rude but yeah sometimes , im like already down the end of my street trying to start the bloody thing.... such a pain i put choke on i pedal hard ... hmmm
That popping that occurs when you let off the throttle, is indicative of the bike running too lean. which is a recipe for disaster in 2 strokes. if you can get a bigger main jet for the carb, I bet you ot will run better.
I have a new motor that is supposed to be a real 80cc engine. I'm still breaking it in, but my top speed is 33.5 mph. With a real expansion chamber I should get a few more mph's. Best bit of fun you can have standing up! You ain't kidding about the weight, my nephew is 50 lbs lighter than I am and he got it up to 37 mph.
YEE HAW! perfect example of how to run a 66cc engine into the ground as fast as possible! when you ride them like that only bad things happen to these fortune cookie engines. LOL
Easy twisting that throttle bro it's only plastic I snapped mine off doing the same thing also Id advise against riding no hands if even a small pebble gets in that chain its ass over tea kettle bro!
It is more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. That sure looks like a lot of fun.
Shoe Chew hi bro no speak a lot of english , but yeah is more fun one a bike of this

I'm glad to see someone else take these on trails
Nice! Thinking about getting one of these to get to school
Looks like a nice place to live and ride thanks for shearing it with us
That was nuts! You have a lot more faith in your machine than I do for sure.
That 66cc motor may be pretty cool, but will it blend?
Aye Captain, sensors indicate warp factor 8.9 on the highway.
Great video Chris, I was surprised it would run that fast!
That was fucking awesome man. Best bike i've seen and amazing trail to ride on.
I am planning on getting a motor for my bike, I want it to be fast good quality, and not too loud, any suggestions on what type?
i dig!!!! never seen these been used like that off a road. niiiiice bike bro niiice bike!!!
I want that shit
Very inspirational!

Bailey's Garage it’s because the engine is brand new they don’t start running properly u til you reach a certain mileage
1:27, Look Ma'!! No Hands!!
can you explain the parts specification...I want to build it.full specification of the engine, motor
I just ordered one, just a heads up, people should order the 56 tooth chain sprocket, you get less pickup but a way better speed boost, about 20-30km/h
What bicycle is this? I bought an engine kit and am unsure what bicycle to buy
a real Beast 66.6 cc :P always wanted to do that to my bicycle as a kid
How many miles do ya think is on the bike because i know the engine finally breaks in at about 500 Kilometers and im tired of riding mine slow?
wow. so it can handle uphill pretty good then. how much u weigh?
Jamming a chain at that speed is a blast. Ever wonder why even the lightest motorcycles are built three times heavier than the heaviest bike.
Good video, this make me want to get one even more.
how fast was this ? I am building my own right now with a super light bicycle and a smaller rear sprocket which has around 33 teeth instead of the stock 44-tooth sprocket
hey I got a question...if you get it, and it doesn't start, is it an electrical problem....or a carb problem?

God that looks like fun.
I weigh 245 lbs, I was woundering how fast I could go on a 66cc. I want one were I can go faster than this.. Any suggestions?

yes 30-35 max unless you buy the gear kit then its about 50mph

What's an appropriate price for a motorized bicycle? I don't want to buy a crappy one nor do I want to spend a shit ton of money for a decent one.
Honestly dude, just build your own. That way you know what quality you are getting. where was ur clutch? the right side?
Yep
looks like you're running a little lean. you'll get better performance in the higher RPMs but you'll kill the engine faster.
I have a drivers licence, but I'm wondering if you can ride these on the roads with no drivers license?
Depends on what country/state u live in. Check your state laws
you can do anything you want as long as you don't get caught
It isn't hard to get your drivers license.

Where could i buy this in europe?
ebay
Driving that a bit too aggressively for having only 2 square inches of traction on the ground and no suspension but the air in the tires.
Chris, didnt your mother tell you to use your hands!
hi, you have problems letting your clutch out? i do , you let it out to start the engine then the bike literally slows right down and doesnt start? does it all the time am i letting it out early or what?

thank you.
Also when you let out the clutch make sure your giving it a little throttle so the engine can suck in the gas. Hope this helped :)
o thank you :D yeah it works better now

No its not legal at all Mario.
oh, so no point getting it then. Police over here are tight
I havent seen a Police car for a couple of years around here so doesnt worry me. If I did see one I would just cut the engine and start peddling.

Should be ~30mph top speed stock. Depends on the gearing, weight, mods, etc... But for 140$ you cant complain! :D
