    For the people in the comments, these exercises are more for testing how fast and precise you can go without breaking and familiarity with unorthodox weapons (hence shovel and pick). If you are looking for a realistic application for this exercise then let me give one. In a fight, if you can’t keep up with how fast your opponents punch/kick, then you get hit. If you lack precision in you strikes, then your opponents will find your mistake and exploit it. And for the people that talk about: “Just shoot them with a gun” you aren’t thinking deep enough. In an urban environment, there are civilians around you, “Pull a gun and shoot” will result in a mass panic and a likely chance of injuring a civilian. The argument above will apply to most situations. (I may be wrong since this is just an observation with a little bit of experience)

      "The Gunkatas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gunkata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%, the difference of a 63% increase. The lethal proficiency makes the master of the gunkatas an adversary not to be taken lightly."

      Don't be fooled. TKDD stands for something else. 특공 무술 direct translation is Commando Martial Arts. Some techniques could be linked but from my understanding it's just army self defense that they've been incorporating since the 80's and early 90's. In other words, it could be linked to any and all martial arts promoting basic self defense.

      @@TheSublimeLifestyle perhaps but just because Tae Kwon Do doesn't teach you how to streetfight doesn't mean there's no utility in what they teach. Especially for kids. It gives them confidence, discipline, respect, courtesy, not being a quitter, more athletic, coordination, a sense of belonging, social networks and accreditation. You know how many kids are at home playing on their iPads eating chocolate, candy and potato chips. Everything is relative. Sure if you get older and want to know how to fight. Picking up Wrestling in high school and some Boxing outside of school will greatly help with defending yourself. But like I said before in terms of education I see the value and utility in Tae Kwon Do. Plus it gets my kid involved early in some type of athletics. So it depends how you perceive things.

      I took TKD as a child I understand. Which is why I say, we have one of the worst TKD cultures on Earth in America. I switched to Kyokushin after one year and learned more in two months than I did a year in TKD.

    • @christianjardin3110
      @christianjardin3110 4 года назад

      @@TheSublimeLifestyle that's because Kyokushin is geared for adults. You have to mentally prepare to take a beating. Because that's what Kyokushin is like. Now ask yourself? How many kids enjoy getting beat up? C'mon, you have a brain, use it. The devil's in the details lmaol

    i would like for this experiment to be done, but the guy holding the training guns are allowed to shoot, and when doing so it triggers a horn somewhere that signals that the melee guy is done for. and then we can count how many times, simply pressing the bang switch is faster.
