  • @dilloncain
    @dilloncain 4 года назад +11

    One thing that's very impressive about this man that the uninitiated may not recognize is that it often looks like he's going very, very fast when his student is holding still, which they are. That is isn't to exaggerate the movement, to make him look so fast against a nonmoving target. It's a demonstration of the momentum and control of the strike as intended, for those around to see without the problem of the other combatant flinching or blurring up the movement.
    The most important part though is to see the absolute control this Master has with this style of teaching. When you can demonstrate a powerful technique at nearly full speed, while inches away, and not bumble into your target, overreach, that's such a powerful thing.

    Master Taboada is a true martial artist. Real martial arts culminate with weapons training because real martial arts is about life and death self defense where the possibility of encountering weapons is a reality. The speed and precision he displays is incredible and his students are excellent. Competition fighters are not prepared for the reality of "Anything Goes Fighting"

    This is some legit stuff. It's not like some crappy training and demonstrations like the teacher was super fast and the students were hitting the teacher in slow motion. In this training, the teacher and students are doing it super fast and with the intention to really hit one another.

    That is why this fighting system in the Philippines was regulated to train only those ppol in police and military.. Imagine gangsters are masters of this fighting system or even robbers and murderers... Now think of changing those sticks with blades and knives.
    The numbers of deaths from this due to street fights was damn so high in the pre ww2 era.

Ive never been able to take much martial.arts only life and am hoping I an start taking classes soon & I am absolutely looking to learn Eskrima/ Arnis. If I remember correctly fly it was Rural that I read about--being in his 80s on a jitney when 3 young thugs jumped in to rob the passengers. Risal had a thin metal rod and gave the dirt bags such a ferocious beating that they broke out windows to escape. Such a great video guys PLEASE KEEP SHARING THEM.
