That’s a great looking card! Look at it through a jewelers loupe for the print for pattern. I don’t blame you for being skeptical about the grading company!
Love the last two video's so like yourself I've been collecting cards mostly vintage so i was going to say yes submit that card to SGC for $15 bucks at the Show in Westchester 2 weeks from now, i would be curious to see if it's real so to me it's worth the $15 bucks, So I'll be at that show that weekend too. So the other video when you bought that beautiful 1963 Mickey Mantle card in a SGC 7 so that dealer Vince or Vincent well I've known him for about 30 years he has such a amazing vintage collection that i can stay there for hours looking at his cards, Vincent is a true gentleman what a nice person but you have to really bargain with him but it's worth it he really has nice high grade looking cards worth to deal with him, been buying cards off him for decades. Love they we both have a passion for vintage cards thanks again NY LOU
That card is authentic. It was the first grading company. These were graded by Alan Hager a legit collector. ET is evidence of trimming. I met him and have his book.
That's real enough in my opinion. I too have an Alan Hager catalogue called Sixsport. I met him in Orlando in 1997 at his shop which if my memory serves me correctly was at Pointe, Orlando. As already stated by ' Orlando - A collectors Dream ' it was one of the first grading companies and owned by Alan Hager. On the back of Sixsport he advertises Grading Licences for sale. I think he lived in Lake Mary Nr Sanford (Orlando's 2nd Airport) and he was the guy I recall who made one of the Spalding card finds which included about 4 of each card in Nr mint condition. That's what I can offer you although having said all that I understand there was more to Alan than met the eye. Salutations from England - long time no speak hope you are well...
I'd send it in... Good luck! Its a great looking card, so hopefully its real. Looks real. Look at the front with a loupe. It should have a similar pixel look to the Cy Young. If it has magenta or cyan colored pixels, its fake.
@@SilverJackify I don't. I'm aiming at getting the team set in all PSA 3's. Got two right off the bat, and the other two I can only find in 2.5's or 4's. Heh. (Sent from my work account)
A blue light will tell you if it is legit from the time period, the pixels are different on fakes because of the ink and paper of today. Good luck and let us know the outcome. Also remember its a gift from your dad,so to me that's more important!!!
I’m definitely no T206 expert but the card in question seems to have a lighter colored back and the ink looks different than your real one. Will look forward to an update to see what comes of your SGC submission!
I think the card is authentic. I think the et is early type like one of the other guys in the comments says. I cant wait the 4 or 5 weeks though! Send that pup in express😂😂
Look at coloring of the real card and fake the real card looks a bit faded egg shell white on the back the fake one has more of a shiny look, I have a question did the buyer state that they either found this card card in an attic or bought it at an auction house? If they did it is definitely a fake.
The seller didn’t have really any information…just listed it. I’ve seen the old “found this in the attic” BS listings…those are great. But they are usually associated to bigger names like Ruth, Cobb etc

I was cheering for you to crack it 😂
This would go nicely with my Sweat Caporal.
The ET on the card means Extra Testicle
😂

Hi Orlando, I'm looking at his book now. On page 44 it says Early Type (ET) Cards 1886-1916. Early Type-6 (ET-6) Excellent to Near Mint (ENM)
Have it graded. Let us know. Gives off the "real" vibe. Nice looking card.

Send that to HGA 😁
Have checked to see if it’s a reprint?
Yeah I don’t think it’s a reprint. Either a fake or the real thing
Definitely get it graded. $15 bucks is worth the anticipation and another update video. Good luck
Exactly! Thanks…looking forward to the results
If authentic, its definitely a sharp card. I would just look at it under a loupe or a black light. They arent hard to authenticate yourself.
I love the Peedmont
You mean Peimont!! 😂 🤦♂️
Im workin on the four Milwaukee players. With such an enormous set, its kinda wild your dad picked up the Shad Barry. Good luck with it!
Nice! So you have the Shad Berry yet?

Did u get it authenticated or graded? Thx
Put it under the loupe! The printing will tell you. Compare it to that Cy Young you got there
Agreed
Not sure but please let us know. I would crack it open and regrade it
Yup exactly
ExcellenT --> ET ?

100 percent. Keeping it in the collection regardless of the outcome. Good story regardless

Thx John! Yeah the coloring is different for sure…will need to put it under a loup later to see if I notice anything
Maybe smell it?

I should put 500k insurance on it and hope it gets lost. Haha jk
You need to start getting those paintings/art and not trimmed T206 cards. Just my not so humble opinion.
😅
