Hello Chris. Another lesson learned about my favorite set. Appreciate the info, as always. A good reason to look through the cards and see if I have any. Any additional Piedmont info would be great. They are by far my most numerous. Someone asked about the Lundgren. I have the Lundgren/Kansas City Piedmont 350 hanging in the kitchen, but will let you know if I have any of the others. Several names sound familiar.
Appreciate the feedback. I should have created a small Lundgren Chicago section due to it at one time being considered one of the "Elite" cards but then due to further research and a lack of certain backs, it's no longer considered one of these.
I had the Ewing in a Sweet Cap 150 and the Jones in a Sovereign 150. Thought I would have had a few more, as those names stuck out to me. Probably a similar video I watched years ago. Now I have a list, so it won't be a vague memory. Thanks again, Chris.
Thank you! You can tell by the feel but if I am not there to see a card, I always look at the name on the card. It's nearly impossible to replicate today and that is usually the giveaway on real or fake.
CRTSportscards Thank you… just subscribed Last question…I promise Do you feel confident submitting to PSA? I never had a card graded… I always feel they will lose it
I appreciate it and feel free to ask any and all questions! As far as PSA goes, I haven't graded with them since around 2018 I have used SGC exclusively due to just collecting pre-war cards. I wouldn't think PSA would lose your cards though.
Just came here from TikTok. Love the page. Looking forward to learning more about tobacco cards. My grandfather got me into them when I was younger. Just subscribed
@CRTSportscards I have had it for quite sometime..I have been working on the set since 1989..have 456...unweighted 4.47...but do not advertise my collection.
I don’t own any t206 cards. Any recommendations for someone who is a fan and appreciates vintage for “dipping my toes in the water” of t206. Tom Jones, not to be confused with the singer Tom Jones ha!
I would always say go with your favorite team first, if they were around at that time, or if they weren't, was a team around in that time period? For example, it is why I collected Seattle Giants T212 cards, otherwise known as Obak's. they were produced at the same time as T206 but they are of Pacific Coast League players. Outside of that, I would purchase cards that are visually appealing. It is why the Fielder Jones T206 card was one of my first purchases. I just loved the goofy pose.
@@CRTSportscards Nice! Great recommendations. My team is the Pittsburgh Pirates, but you know, the Honus Wagner is a bit out of my price range. 😂 Maybe there are some other Pirates out there in the set? The pacific coast league cards sound excellent. I recall that Joe DiMaggio (years later) began his career there.
@@johnbritt53 Hello John. I have 4 T206s hanging on the walls of my house. My Sharpe/Shappe/Hinchman "error" collage is my favorite. Do you, as a true collector, know that tidbit of T206 history? If you do sir, you are in the minority, so I'm not sure why a concise, informative video about the hardest set to understand is a joke to you? I watch every T206 video I can find and this information was valuable to me. Enjoy your day.
Never mentioned anything about finding these at your house. I did though mention potentially finding them at a card show in a stack of Piedmonts. So best of luck in your hunt!
I have the Tubby Spencer Piedmont 350 back. Rarest of all elite eleven. Bought it for $25 fifteen years ago. Now $2,000.
Oh wow! Talk about an ROI! Thanks for sharing that information. 🙌🙌
I have the Shaw and Dahlen. Both piedmonts. PSA 5’s
Great information thanks for sharing
Always appreciate you watching as well!

Question…
How can you tell an authentic vs a reprint?

Boston Dahlen...have it in a Piedmont 350...PSA 2
That is awesome! Have you had it for a long time or a recent acquisition?

You left out Lundgren.
He is the "12th man" due to the lack of a few backs. I should have included him in the discussion as that extra player for context.
Oh yeah, all kinds of folks have t-206’s hanging around the house. Get real. A true collector knows about T-206. This video is a joke
